Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.

What is that?

purethemes

Hi

It just info that WordPress couldn’t find any post. When you have homepage slider enabled and only one category, all posts go there, so there’s no posts to put in thumbnails

Hi,

I am looking at purchasing your site but was just wondering a few things…

~ Can I add a link to social media (facebook and twitter)? ~ Is there a photo purchasing/ordering page, or can i add a page, such as JotForm? ~ Is there a maximum amount of galleries i can add, and how many images does each gallery hold (currently i use JAlbum)? ~ Can i add a link/hyperlink to other sites?

Sorry if these are silly questions…. my web knowledge is very limited.

Fe – 3P

purethemes

Hi!

ad1. It can make some difficulties with photpost but I can help with that.

ad2. There’s no such page but you can use JotForm. It shouldn’t be a problem.

ad3. There’s no limit for number of galleries, but there’s a limit on photos in each gallery, they should not be wider than 32500px alltogether. Wider posts makes bug in Opera, If you don’t care about Opera users, there’s probably no limit :)

ad4. Yes, of course you can :)

Hi, thanks for the great theme!

Okay, thank you so far.

New Question: I would like to use Times New Roman in general instead of the beautiful fonts that are given in the presettings… ( :-/ They just don’t fit to our logo, sorry!) I tried changing this under “Create a skin” (where I made some other changes too which already work) -> “Typoraphy”, but the theme doesn’t take it… Have you got any idea?

purethemes

“Create a skin”? what’s that?

the best way will be changing in css, in file style.css declaration of body {} just add font-family: “Times New Roman” But to be honest, it’s not the best font for websites..

Default-user

OMG , sorry I was confused.. “Create a skin” is included in an other theme! Everything okay than and thank you for the support.

Hi, it’s problem with your server,it has disabled URL file access. You can contact administrator, or you can remove lines 36-43 from header.php and add to style.css h1#logo a{ background: url(URL_TO_YOUR_LOGO) no-repeat; }

Image Thumbnail don’t work. No detect the firts image. How term used in Custom Field?

purethemes

Hi could you be more specific? It doesn’t use Custom Field, it’s all automatic, it should take first image from the post and create thumbnail. Do you have any errors? And did you read documentation and put chmod on cache folder?

Default-user

Yes. I read the documentation and put chmod on cache folder, but, don’t work.

purethemes

so probably timthumb doesn’t work on your server, but you can use WordPress thumbs functionality. It’s all in documentation.

Dear rzepak, I have some doubts:

1) Can i change the font used in Top Menu? 2) How can i set the thumbs smaller, like in agatagirek site? 3) When i set custom colors, in every post, in the botton, appears a color that i didn’t set: background gray, in a cell with the Post name and the cell with Post navigator. (you can check it here -> www.felipeschiavon.com/wordpress) 4) Can i add a page to be a form contact?

Best regards, Felipe Schiavon

purethemes

Hi!

1) you need to open style.css and find line with .menu li a { font-family:Georgia,”Times New Roman”,Times,serif;} and just change Georgia to any font name you want

2)I’ll post today tutorial how to do it ( you’re not the first one who asks ;) ), it’s easy but involve changing code in some places

3) I’m not sure what you mean, I can’t see it on your website..

4) Of course, you can use one of many plugins for that.

Kind regards

Default-user

Tks Rzepak!

About this 3) I’m not sure what you mean, I can’t see it on your website, I discovered that was the color of the border thumbnails. When they are white, the background cells that i meant also are white, and the same thing happens when they are gray. In fact, i dont know how i changed the border colors (lol), because don’t have this option in Wordpress theme options => Fourth options tab – Colours. But now they are white! :-)

Furthermore, I and the others are waiting for the tutorial ok?

Thanks and best regards!

I had installed the old version. How do i upgrade my theme, without lossing, configurations, plugins, posts, etc?? thxs

purethemes

You just need to overwrite files with new, only if you’ve changed anything in style.css, you probably need to keep it. You won’t loose your plugins, settings or posts. (But better do database backup ;) just in case)

I’m trying to figure out how to remove the text box in the post section.

In an earlier response to someone else, you’d written that this could be done by removing lines 56 – 68 in “Single.php,” but that didn’t work for me, as you can see by following this link:

http://shalomormsby.com/dreams-visions-fantasies/

How can I remove the text box, so that only the photos show?

Thanks, Shalom

PS – I’ve read all the documentation several times.

purethemes

Code of that file has changed since my answer. So now the best way is to remove from single.php lines 12-29, it whole div class=”grid_16” or you can add display:none; to #post-content in style.css

Be sure to have the latest version, It was a problem earlier, but I’ve fixed it. Are sure you want to add it to page or to post? And if it’s page, do you use slider template for it?

Hmm. I just bought the theme and downloaded it yesterday. I used the files that are available in the download section so i asume that is the latest version. Im having the [gwolle-gb] tag on a page, not a in a post, but im not sure what you mean by the slider template for a page. There is no pictures on the page if thats what you mean ? :)

Heres a screenshot of how the page looks like. Oh, and carrige return does not seem to work without me explicit write a
in the post. Im running on wordpress 3.

purethemes

quick fix for you, open functions.php and change line 33 to “add_filter(‘the_content’,’pure_slideshow’,9);” (just add 9 at the end)

It will fix that problem, but may cause others with different plugins. I’ll try to find solution for that ASAP

Is it posible to rotate the photos? Once you reach the end of the slide on the right, I want them to start again to rotate from the begining. Please help!

Hi, yes, I’m working on it, and I’m on the good way to make it done ;)

Here’s a great idea: build a widgetized area to appear after the last image in the post. When the last photo slides out, this box should slide in (like one of the images). The area should be no bigger than one of the portrait photos.

People could use it to add more complexity to the post page: related posts, subscription to RSS and newsletter, “recommend to a friend”, links to Facebook and Twitter…

What do you think? Would it be possible?

purethemes

Probably yes, I will consider you’re idea in next update

Hello again,

I have more problems now :)

First one: The Menu gets all mixed up as seen in the first screenshot. Instead of making a list with each item in a row it makes a table with items beside eachother. Look really strange. http://www.glawe.se/1.png

Second: When i added the order parameter into the filterfunction all the other posts get empty rows where the img rows where located. http://www.glawe.se/2.png

Hoping for help soon as the site are closing in into completion soon :)

Br. Fredrik

purethemes

Hi is there a chance that you’ll send mi a link to live view of you website? That would make it easier to find out whats the problem with menu.

And as a 2nd, that’s what’s I was afraid of, I’m still looking for solution

I’m having trouble getting the custom logo to work. The problem crashed my entire site; it took everything offline.

I had the same problem someone else had with getting a custom logo to display. This is that you said was the problem:

“it’s problem with your server,it has disabled URL file access. You can contact administrator, or you can remove lines 36-43 from header.php and add to style.css h1#logo a{ background: url(URL_TO_YOUR_LOGO) no-repeat; }”

I tried your fix, but it ended up crashing my entire site.

I’m not skilled with CSS and PHP , so I need to know EXACTLY where to put the lines of code, because obviously, I put something in the wrong place.

Here’s how I modified my style.css (the addition is in bold):

- – -
/* LOGO --------- */

h1#logo a { display: block; width:297px; font-family: "Lucida Sans Unicode"; font-size: 48px; line-height: 40px; letter-spacing: -1px; color: #444; margin: 0 0 0 0;
            padding: 0 0 0 0; font-weight: 100; text-decoration: none; margin-top:20px;  }
<strong>h1#logo a{ background: url(http://shalomormsby.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Shalom_Ormsby_Images_Logo.jpg/) no-repeat; }</strong>
h1#logo { margin-bottom: 0px}
- – -

Then I went to modify my “Header.php” file, and that’s when the site crashed. So I undid the changes, but the site is displaying a big error message.

Here’s the error message that’s currently live on my site ( http://shalomormsby.com/ )

Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /homepages/20/d214116557/htdocs/shalomormsby/wp-content/themes/photopurepress-wordpress-for-photographers-source/PhotopurePress/header.php on line 35

Now, whenever I try to view any of my images in Wordpress’s Media Library, I get the same basic error message.

Here’s what my “Footer.php” file looks like in the area of line 35:

- – -

        <?php $logo = get_option('purephoto_logo_url');
        if (!empty($logo)){
    list($width, $height) = getimagesize($logo);
    ?>
    <style type="text/css">
        h1#logo a{ background: url(<?php echo $logo ?>) no-repeat; width:<?php echo $width?>px; height:<?php echo $height?>px; text-indent:-9999px }
    </style>
        <?php } ?>

        <?php if (get_option('purephoto_custom_colours')== "Yes") {?>
    <style type="text/css">
        body {background-color:<?php echo get_option('purephoto_bg_color');?>; background-image:none;}
        #dropmenu li,.menu li a{
        background-color:<?php echo get_option('purephoto_navcurrent_color'); ?>;
        background-image:none;color:<?php echo get_option('purephoto_navigation_color');?>;
        text-shadow:none; border:none;}
        #dropmenu li a:hover,#menutop ul li a:hover{background:<?php echo get_option('purephoto_navhover_color');?>;}
        #menutop {background-color:<?php echo get_option('purephoto_navigation_color');?>; }
        a {color:<?php echo get_option('purephoto_link_color');?>}
        h1,h2,h3,h4{color:<?php echo get_option('purephoto_heading_color');?>;}
        #bottom {background-color:<?php echo get_option('purephoto_fbg_color');?>; background-image:none;}
    </style>
    <?php }?>
        <style type="text/css"><?php echo get_option('purephoto_custom_css'); ?></style>
    <?php wp_enqueue_script('jquery'); ?>
    <?php wp_head();?>
    <!-- JavaScript -->
- – -

Please help!

Thanks, Shalom

purethemes

First, you need to go to PurePhoto Options and remove link from Logo URL (leave it blank)

Than you need to go to header.php ( be sure it’s version before your changes) delete lines 32 -36 and line 40, and then add to replace line 38 with code below:

h1#logo a {
background:url("http://shalomormsby.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Shalom_Ormsby_Images_Logo.jpg") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
height:300px;
text-indent:-9999px;
width:340px;

You’ve got errors because I’ve gave that answer to previous version with little bit different code in header.php
