Hi Mixey, Before the first image appears, the time is long enough. Would it be possible to add a loading image? Should it appear once, not after in the slideshow.

Thanks for your answer :) Alex

Hi,

You can try something like this. Place this code in the custom css section in theme options page:
#superbgimage { background: url(http://yoursite.com/path_to_the_image/preloader.gif) no-repeat center center; }

i know this question has most likely been asked 100 times… but the whole main page slideshow thing with the ids… can you please explain that in full to me? Do i need to create a page or post to make the image show on the main slide?

Again sorry for the same question but I didnt understand it in full. Thanks

Please take a look here: http://www.screenr.com/awK

1. You should create category for your photo posts (under Posts->categories) 2. Enter photo category ID in the Photo Gallery Options->Photo categories (category ID you can find in IDs section) 3. Create new post and assign it to the photo category and upload image in “Photoshot custom settings->Image” section

how do i make the “next image preview” like you have on yout about my section? I want to make my port like that

thanks

This was done with help of shortcodes, please take a look in the help.pdf file there’s info about available shortocodes.

Example from demo site.

Hi Mixey -

I hope you could give me a hand, I’m working on your template for a friend of mine and have installed it successfully, however every page I created says page does not exist, here is an example…

http://www.jonathanfordphotography.com/

Could you tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thanks!

wpbakery

works fine now

to add to my previous comment, I have tried to import demo xml file, which you might see in action right now, but even that would not load any pages! is it a database problem?

wpbakery

works fine now

OK so got it sorted, in case anyone else has this problem, its to do with .htaccess file and Permalinks structure, I reset it to default and all links/pages started showing correctly, so more of a problem with the particular server rather than this template :)

Now my only problem is removing “comments” on pages like “about”, “contact”. Thanks for the great theme though, love it!

Gorgeous theme! Two quick pre-purchase questions I didn’t see answers to in these comments:

1. Is it possible to control the variable font sizes in the menu? It’s a great look—I’d just like to decide which pages to highlight with larger sizes.

2. Is it possible to show all of a blog post instead of just a featured image and a few lines?

wpbakery

Thank you very much!

1. Menu size is calculated automatically (to make menu width constant). But of course, with small CSS snippet, you can “force” any menu item to be size of your choice.

2. By default, archive page shows the_excerpt() (few lines…), but you can open php template and replace the_excerpt() with the_content(), then full blog post will be outputted.

Thanks for the quick reply, mixey. Much appreciated—strongly considering purchasing. Fantastic design!

Hi mixey,

Some pre purchase question. 1. In the theme options is it possible to have the (left/right) arrows next to the images 2. In the theme options is it possible to have thumbnails of a series of pictures under the main image. 3.Is it possible to have images with different dimensions in the main slider.

Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry I was away for my vacation.

1. At the homepage slideshow there are left and right arrows (top right corner).

2. At the single portfolio view, theme outputs thumbnails with links for other portfolio posts in the same category.

3. No, this slideshow plugin automatically resizes images to fill container.

Hi there,

I just bought the PhotoShot theme. But I cannot seem to install it. On the installation file, it says to login to Wordpress, and install the theme on the dashboard. But I have no way of doing so… There is no “Install Theme” button.

Thanks.

wpbakery

Install theme link located in Appearance->Themes page. You should be logged in as administrator in your WP site.

Hi, I found out the answer to my question above :) I am now trying to set up the theme. To tell you the truth, I have absolutely no knowledge in programming. I’m just a photographer trying to live out and don’t have money to pay a guy to design my website. I would just like something similar to your preview: - a homepage with one photo (no title, no text, just the photo) - a portfolio with various albums (pages) - on each album (page) the photos displayed as thumbnails, and when clicked, they open in a lightbox / or a slideshow like the one you have in your preview homepage…

Nothing really difficult for you guys who know about programming… But the Everest for me.

Do you have a tutorial somewhere, to have something like your preview ? I read like ten times your help.pdf, but like I said I’m a noob in these matters.

Many thanks in advance :)

Hi,

Please use support forums for support related questions. http://support.wpbakery.com

If I insert the gallery into each corresponding page, will it automatically view it as the plug ins gallery?

wpbakery

Sorry, I’m not sure what you are trying to ask.

Ok try again on a different name:

Thanks for the reply mixey

The right margin for the column where the Menu is displayed changes from one page to the next. Is there a way to fix this or is there something else to look at?

Hi,

Not sure what you mean. Could you provide links to the pages where you see this?

Sure, when you open the site (HOME) look carefully at the width of the menu area. Then click on the REMODEL page, watch as the page loads you can see the difference in the two…

oh and another thing, if you click on HOME from the REMODEL page, when it goes back it does not seem to load the slideshow…

And of course one last thing…THIS THEME IS AWESOME !

wpbakery

Menu width looks identical to me.

Also clicking “home” from remodel page, load slideshow just fine. It may be paused… When you hover your mouse over the slideshow, slideshow is paused automatically.

Hello Mixey, could you please send me the PDF for adding images to the slideshow. thanks a lot

Hello again, i have found out how to add the images to the slideshow :) I was wondering if it was possible to find out what plugin is used on the gallery page of http://www.jonathanfordphotography.com/index.php/portraits/ ( i would like something similar to this on my Gallery pages, using the curser or keyboard to change the images, no automatic slideshow ) I appreciate your help with this.

Great theme by the way.

Cheers, Henning

Hey, I have a problem with spam comments .Page setting I put “no comment” and it’s works perfectly. But spam comments came to image that I have used on page. How can I disable it. To make it clear then, I have a page: http://maritelk.planet.ee/?page_id=198 (comments function is put disabel). And on this page, there I have use one picture (http://maritelk.planet.ee/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Simpson_Unito_195-oranz.jpg). As I understand all media files may see separate pages like http://maritelk.planet.ee/?attachment_id=112. So my question is how can I disable media files page comments? Thanks, Alar

ok I scrubbed everything (including the database) and started from scratch. I am noticing a significant formatting difference with Firefox 16.0.2 vs Explorer (as well as others) and was wondering if anyone has experienced the same?

I still love this theme!

Sorry for the lot of questions,
