Hey Mike. Thanks you for this theme. Can you please add function to the side bar button to move down, when i’m slide page down with open side bar? Thanks!
Hey dimmill,
Glad you like the theme. I will see what I can do. The request so far is that the sidebar trigger & content moves down at the same time.
Works great on desktops, but needs some work for mobiles, do to the lack of height.
Leave it with me.
Mike
Yep, sidebar & content moves down, but not sidebar button
To close sidebar need page up site and after that close side bar with click on button.
Hey,
Sorry to clarify, I was discussing how you want it to act. Not how it currently acts.
Thanks
Mike
Hi,
I am willing to purchase this template but it is important to me making it easy for people to share the posts outside tumblr. Is there any way you could include sharing buttons to each post?
thanks
Hi,
There is a share link in the post details (Shares XXX), for each post.
There is also a modification here: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/926784-change-addthis-to-buttons to add in ‘real’ social share buttons.
Thanks
Mike
Thanks Mike, if I have another question when I set it up I will contact you.
Regards, Alondra
Hi!
Your design is amazing. I love it.
I just have a little question. When I post a photo the image is not as big as the one you show. Is there ant function that I need to allow?
Cheers, Alex
Forget it. It was the Enable Image Replacement option. Thank you xoxo
Hey!
Thank you for the super kind words! Glad you sorted it!
xoxo
The Like-button by the header (the heart) seems detached from the Tumblr-like. That’s not the purpose is it?
Hi,
In what context, I don’t fully understand the question.
The like button in the Tumblr controls (follow, like, reblog) is generated by Tumblr itself and the theme has no influence on this.
The heart / like inside a post (next to the title of a post / under an image) uses a hidden iframe to register your like. At the time the theme was created, there was no ‘Like Button’ in the Tumblr template tags.
Thanks
Mike
Thanks Mike, the hidden iframe isn’t registering the like, but I probably just messed it up. Now I know how it’s intended to work, if all else fails I still have the original theme.
I really admire your work, awesome stuff.
Hey,
Hmm. That’s odd, but it seems your right. I can’t seem to like anything on the demo site: http://mikedidthis-pierre.tumblr.com/
Can you confirm this? The ‘heart’ will change colour, but the count should increase if successful.
Let me know if you can, and I will work on a fix. (I presume its because of the inclusion of a ‘like’ in the template tags).
Thanks
Mike
Hmm, no it doesn’t add a like, just changes state (color).
Hey,
Yeah it seems they have ‘denied’ iframe likes. Its ok, it shouldn’t be a massive fix.
Want to message: support@mikedidthis.co.uk and be my test subject!
Thanks
Mike
Mike,
Beautiful theme! Just a few questions.
1) Can the rounded corners on the images be turned off or removed?
2) When viewing the images in the lightbox (not sure if that’s even what it’s called), there are no navigation arrows, at least in Firefox 20.0 on a Mac. The keyboard arrows work but I don’t think a regular viewer on a desktop computer will figure that out.
3) Can an regular Tumblr archive be toggled on and off?
Thanks, man
Keith
Hey Keith,
Glad you like the theme. Responses below:
1) Sure, if your add the following to your Custom CSS box it will remove the corners on images:
.better-photo, .photoset-grid li span { -webkit-border-radius: 0px; -moz-border-radius: 0px; border-radius: 0px; }2) That is the correct name
. The lightbox detects if the browser has ‘touch’ support, if so hides the arrows. At the time, this was a good way to work, but most browsers are shipping with ‘touch’ enabled (No matter if the device is touch or not). Leave it with me I will get that resolved.
3) I believe ‘Archive’ is an built in part of Tumblr and can’t be turned off. You can turn off the link by unchecking ‘Enable Archive Page Link’ but users can still visit ’/archive’.
I hope these help. Anything more, please message: support@mikedidthis.co.uk
Thanks
Mike
Awesome, thanks for your help. Going to purchase the theme right now!
Mike,
Just purchased the theme. Love it. What exactly is the spinner in the options panel? I didn’t see anything about it in the documentation.
Hey John,
That is a good question. Both the spinner images are used in the lightbox when loading an image.
I will make a note of it in the next update.
Thanks
Mike
Hey Mike,
well, congrats! this is a very nice theme
Unfortunately I’ve got some troubles with the like heart; it doesn’t appear properly, all I see is a strange circle ..
can you help me out please?
may I have your email address so that I can show you what I mean?
thank you!
Lara
Hey Lara,
Sadly its a known issue with the current installation technique.
That should do it. Thanks
Mike
thank you for your quick answer
I’ve got another question for you, hope you don’t mind. do you know if there’s a plug in or a way to insert a comment button at the top of the post? (I’m using Disqus, but I really don’t know how it works..well, not yet!)
