Hi Ed sorry to worry you I know you are busy (as this doesn’t normally happen) but I have had a request in the support forum for well over two days and wonder whether in maybe quicker to post it here.

John

Hi John,

We’ll get back to you on that ticket as soon as we can. Our support policy is Monday-Friday, but we do try and reply on weekends when we can.

Hi Ed, I have the masonry blog style and right sidebar running on IntentData.com, should the sidebar show below the blog in ipad portrait mode?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Have you changed any of the default css or added any that could affect this? It works perfect for us on our build.

- Ed

Thanks for getting back to me Ed, wanted to check to be sure I was right – I have used a contractor to ensure a plugin fits within the boxed width page on another part of my site, and I can only guess they’ve screwed up the rest of the site for tablet viewers as a consequence!

That’s likely the case, best of luck sorting it out!

- Ed

Just wanted to say thanks for resolving a couple of support requests. Great theme!

James

You’re welcome James, glad you like it :)

I’m not sure what happened with my site. Everything was working fine and now the drop down menu doesn’t seem to work, and on the portfolio carousel it’s displaying all at once vertically instead of 1 with the scroll bar. So I assume it’s related.

I haven’t been touching the PHP files, only the CSS. I removed all the custom CSS to see if it changed and it didn’t. Should I re-install the theme or is this a easy fix. I don’t know what else I changed for this to happen

Looks like a plugin is conflicting with the theme’s JS files. Did you install any new plugins recently?

- Ed

Yes it ended up being from Quform. It worked fine until I tried to test using a pop up fancybox so that must of did something. Thanks for your help

No worries :)

Hello, please help. I’m having troubles with the WPML, pinpoint options are not working with the WPML Translation Management PLUGIN activated. Please help

Hi there,

You can find them under String Translation > Context: admin_texts_theme_pinpoint

- Ed

Hi,

I just installed the theme and I got this message (once about line 46 and now, after retry, line 37). Can you help me ?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function rwmb_meta() in /home/mypre290/public_html/wp-content/themes/pinpoint/includes/post-formats/standard.php on line 37

Thank you, Hélène

Sounds like your FTP isn’t working properly then. Try deleting the folder and uploading through the WordPress uploader in Appearance > Themes > Install.

- Ed

Thank you Ed, it is working now :) Have a great evening !!!

You’re welcome. Thanks, you too :)

- Ed

Still loving the theme!

Is there an easy way to change up the social media icons for something a little more subtle?

Thanks.

You’re welcome :)

- Ed

Hi Ed. I noticed that you have put Roboto back into the Google fonts. If you did that after my enquiry I just want to say thanks! Your support / theme / work is amazing.

Hi there,

Yes it was based on your enquiry – no worries :)

Hi,

I tried to setup the Blog page on my site, I already create new page (I name the page Blog) and have the “Blog” element in it.

On Pinpoint Options > Blog Options, I select the page “Blog”

On Wordpress’ Settings > Reading, I select the page “Blog” as my Posts page.

Now the problem is that the blog page didn’t get styled as on PinPoint’s demo website. Did I make mistake on my configuration?

Thank you

Don’t set the posts page in Settings > Reading, as this will cause it to use the archive layout. You can leave that blank, and then it will follow the styling you chose for the asset.

- Ed

Congratulations for the excellent theme!

I have some questions before buy.

There is the possibility to change the URL of the portfolio?

From this: http://wordpress/?portfolio=portfolio-title To This: http://wordpress/?portfolio-category-name=portfolio-title Or: http://wordpress/portfolio-category-name/portfolio-title

It’s possible?

Thank you

Hi there,

Yes that is possible, you can use this plugin – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-post-type-permalinks/

- Ed

Before once buying it, i want to make sure is it ok for me to install this template functionally. because, 1 week ago, i bought the JF soical template for $40, but it’s not work, and i ask for the assistance of the support, he ask to follow the support policy, my god, i can not find a word to express my stupidness.

i must to make sure that i can use this template after i pay for it.

i hope it will work for this time. i don’t want to be lose for the second time.

will you promise me ?

thanks

harry

Love the theme. Two questions…

1. How do I make the team carousal rotate out on sets of four when you click the arrow? Instead of rotating by a single team member I wold like to do so by sets of four like this site: http://tudorwoodworks.com/

2. What is the best way in reducing the size of the image associated with each blog post, as seen here: http://www.springboardcreative.biz/mn/news/

I’m trying to get the height dimension to be 300px but I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to alter the PHP/css to do so. Currently, it appears as if the photo is stretched out to a predetermined dimension no matter what associated image is attached to this area.

Thanks a lot, Brendan

.sidebar .wpb_recent_posts_widget .recent-post .excerpt { display: none; } .sidebar .wpb_recent_posts_widget .recent-post { border-top: 0; }

The above should work for both your comments.

- Ed

The only thing that isn’t working now is the photos are reappearing on the sidebars: http://www.springboardcreative.biz/mn/services/assurance-services/

You’ve removed the other code for the image? Should be this for the complete code:

.sidebar .wpb_recent_posts_widget .recent-post figure, .sidebar .wpb_recent_posts_widget .recent-post .excerpt {
display: none;
}
.sidebar .wpb_recent_posts_widget .recent-post { border-top: 0; }

Hello _ Love the theme thank you!

I’m having a big issue with the MailChimp integration bar. On my computer (Mac using Safari) I can see the text prompt to “Enter Your Email Address And Hit Enter…” But my client who is also using a Mac w/ Safari is not seeing any text to prompt her. This is confusing for her because she is just seeing a blank blinking bar. How can I fix this little quirk? (www.mixtdance.com)

You’re welcome!

Checked here and working fine, can you confirm what browser version she is using?

- Ed

I have downloaded a widget called Ad Rotate. I put it on one of the sidebars. Anything I put under the last ad on the sidebar when clicked goes to the link of the ad. For example I put a calendar on there and when I added a date and clicked on the date it linked to the ad above it. I thought I could put a movie between the ad and calendar but when I click on the move it plays but when I click on the calendar date or anything else that has a hyperlink it links to the last ad in the rotation.

Matclassic.com is the url.

Thank You

Hi there,

It would be within the widget. Did you add any code yourself?

You’re welcome!

- Ed

I did not ad anything to the widget. I have tracked this down I think to a missing at the end of the last ad. Is there any way I can ad this directly to the word press pages?

I don’t think so, you’d need to contact the plugin developer.

Hello, Is there a way to set the showcase slide order? I can’t figure out how it’s picking which order to use. Thanks!

Awesome, works perfectly! Thanks Ed!

You’re welcome :)

- Ed

Hi

I’m using the showcase as the main slider on the homepage however the showcase slides always open a new tab when clicked.

How do I change that action to make them open in the same window?

http://www.oaktree.org.uk/peek

Hi there,

Edit /includes/page-builder/composer/lib/shortcodes/showcase.php line 51 to:

$items .= '<a href="'.$slide_link.'" target="_self">';</a>

- Ed

hello,

i would like to add jquery datepicker for contact form 7, i noticed that wordpress already have datepicker widget on wp-includes\js\jquery\ui

after googling, some say that i’ll need to create child theme to call the jquery.ui.datepicker.min.js and then call the datepicker on the html code of contact form 7.

but i noticed that pinpoint can add raw js on the page editor, can you suggest which way is better? create child theme or add the js directly on the page using raw js feature?

i don’t want to re-apply all the changes in case there is theme update.

thank you

You can check the developer console in your browser to see if any errors show.

- Ed

i activate Firefox’s Web Developer > Debugger. there i can see list of .js file but i didn’t see jquery.datepicker.js in that list.

Replied to your email.

Ed,

Quick feature request: please allow the Swift Page Builder “Blog” element to be sized down like the rest of the elements. :) Thanks!

Hi there,

We have looked into this, but it would require a lot more coding to be able to output with the correct styling – and would likely cause more problems than good.

- Ed

Weird. I went into classic edit and saw width=”1/1” in the blog element. I changed it to “1/2” and it looks fine to me. What kinds of problems would it cause to allow people to resize it in the Swift Builder interface?

It depends what display type you use. For example using masonry would likely cause issues.

- Ed

Do you happen to have the original PSD for the social-icons.png file? I want to change the colors and make all of them the same shade of grey but it’s rather difficult to edit as PNG.

Hi there,

Unfortunately there is no PSD, just the png files that are included.

- Ed

Hi, could you fix the demo. I am looking as reference, it had different style of blog layout but now the menu doesn’t link properly. Thanks!

Hi there,

Please can you let me know what exactly you are referring to?

- Ed

Hey Ed, how can I control the blog listing thumbnails (for “mini” layout)? If I want to make them smaller, for instance.

Hi there,

You can change this css:

.mini-items .blog-item figure {
width: 290px;
margin-right: 20px;
}

Add to Pinpoint Options > General Options > Custom CSS.

- Ed

Thanks much!
