I have selected the boxed layout and uploaded my background but it is not showing. I tried choosing one of your “preset” backgrounds and that doesn’t display either… am i missing something?

SwiftIdeas

Do you have the use background image button set to on above the image uploader?

If you do, please log a support ticket at http://support.swiftpsd.com and we’ll take a look :)

Is there a way to have the blog posts show up in full rather than an excerpt?

SwiftIdeas

Which asset are you using to display your posts, the blog asset? I’ll sort out some instructions for a code change for you :)

Yes the blog asset. Thanks! Crazy fast reply :)

SwiftIdeas

;)

Right, what you want to do is open up /pinpoint/includes/page-builder/composer/lib/shortcodes/blog.php, and change line 229 from:

$items .= '<div class="excerpt">'. $post_excerpt .'</div>';

to

$items .= '<div class="excerpt">'. get_the_content() .'</div>';

That should do it, let me know!

Hi again. I updated the theme (replacing this code again) but now it seems that the posts show up unformatted. does not work even if I add them manually, they disappear. However if you click on the post, the formatting is fine. How do I get the formatting to work on the home blog page? thanks!

SwiftIdeas

Please can you log a support ticket with a link so that we can take a look. Don’t think anything has changed in v1.3 that would have altered this.

You mean the icon to be added into the social shortcode? We’ll add it to the list for v1.3 :)

Your theme looks AMAZING, but as the site I’m building is primarily an e-commerce site. I’m sure you’ve done a beautiful job styling wooCommerce, but I’ve been let-down by “WooCommerce Supported” themes in the past. Are you planning on including a WooCommerce in you live preview so I can get a look. My main concern is product images/thumbnails. They don’t look right in many themes.

All WooCommerce issues aside, let me just congratulate you on producing a really beautiful and well thought out theme!

SwiftIdeas

Thanks for the kind words :)

We are planning on adding it to the preview soon, however I would say that we haven’t made this into an eCommerce theme, but rather supported the implementation of WooCommerce as so many people were trying to do it themselves. We’ve provided a WooCommerce template file, added the lightbox functionality to the product images, and some people have created some nice shops from what we’ve seen.

Hopefully we can show something off soon! Thank you again for the feedback, it’s greatly appreciated :)

Great theme! Installed it 12 hours ago and already love working with it. A few questions though:

1) Is it posible to make the background stretch?

2) Is it posible to sort the team-members from A-Z? I want to show them in alphabetical order but since the team changes over time I would love that feature.

SwiftIdeas

Glad you’re enjoying it :)

1) Try the following custom css (add it within Pinpoint Options):

#boxed-container {
    background-size: 100% auto;
}

2) Sure, what you want to do is go to /pinpoint/includes/page-builder/composer/lib/shortcodes/team.php and add the following to the arguments passed between line 27-34:

orderby' => 'title',
'order' => 'ASC'

When doing that, make sure that all arguments apart from the last have a comma after them.

Hope that helps!

Perfect! Some of my pages does not contain to much info. In those cases the background does not “fill up the screen” if you know what I mean. I would like the background to fit the screen regardless of the page content.

Take out the auto, so:

#boxed-container {
    background-size: 100%;
}

Ed How best to describe this. I’ve purchased the slider PRO plugin to add to add other slider options to the site. When I place the slider PRO shortcode within the structure of the page using the classic editor mode and then say need to make a change to some text within a page element using the swift page builder, after saving my additional information added within the classic editor disappears – i.e. my slider PRO slides vanishes.

Any ideas…...

Hello,

I installed your theme, but there seems to be a bug. http://www.seohighspeed.com/

On the front page there is a white space between the navigation and the slider.

In the shop categories, for example http://www.seohighspeed.com/product-category/first-page-seo-packs that white space is filled with the name of one of the products within that category.

How do I get rid of that white space in the shop and on the front page?

SwiftIdeas

No bug, just go to edit the page, and check the “Top Spacing” option in the meta options.

Hope that helps.

Hello Ed,

Thanks for your quick reply. I found the option to remove it. Worked for the front page, but not for the WooCommerce store. I am not really sure where I would find that option for the WooCommerce Shop pages, since the product pages itself don’t contain that option, and the page “Shop” that is mapped for the WooCommerce shop, seems to have no affect when disabling that option.

SwiftIdeas

Ahh apologies, on the shop page, you want to hide the title as for some reason the WooCommerce takes the first item, rather than the name of the page (likely something to do with the WooCommerce loop). We’re planning to look into any resolution for this when we get the chance.

Hello Ed,

Could you supply me with any kind of hot fix, that I can quickly implement (even hide the div layer via css is ok). I just have to get rid of it quickly, doesn’t even have to be nice, just a way to hide that title. I don’t mind editing php files, I’d try to find a solution myself, if I don’t have any kind of reference point on where to start.

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Sorry if I wasn’t clear, but if you edit that page, there is an option to hide the title in the meta options :)

- Ed

Default-user

Hello Ed,

For the WooCommerce shop there is no such option, or maybe I am blind. As mentioned, on the fron page it works where I can just edit the page and disable the meta option, but for the WooCommerce categories ex. http://www.seohighspeed.com/product-category/first-page-seo-packs I can’t find that option because it’s a product category and not a page. I can’t find any meta options in the product page, nor category, and simply editing the page called “Shop”, which WooCommerce uses to map the name, has no affect. I’m happy to provide you with admin access.

SwiftIdeas

Apologies, looks like I wasn’t fully understanding the situation! Here is some custom css that you can use to hide the heading:

.tax-product_cat .page-heading { display: none; }

I’ll look into getting a resolution for this in the next update!

Hi,

I have been looking around and i believe that this theme will be the right fit with me.

Before purchasing I wanted to ask if it is possible to have a GIF image as a preloader for the homepage because I will be having a media heavy homepage. And I also have a custom GIF image which I would like to display as visitors enter my site.

Thank you in Advance =)

Hey there!

While it’s not possible as standard, it would be pretty easy to set up an overlay that could be hidden using jQuery once the page loads.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any more questions :)

Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply, I have just purchased the theme and have been putting it through a testing phase. I enjoy the theme and would recommend it to anyone looking for a robust and versatile theme.

I understand now that the overlay preloader using jQuery is not standard, but you say it would be easy to setup. Could you please show me how I would be able to achieve that, or point me in the right direction to find out how to. I appreciate all the help

Great Theme!

SwiftIdeas

Thanks for the feedback, glad you’re enjoying it! :)

I’d recommend using the following: http://fgnass.github.com/spin.js/

What you’ll want to do is add a div to the footer with an id. Then you can position it fixed to the center of the screen, show it using that plugin, and then hide it once the page has loaded. You’ll want to add the JS to /js/functions.js.php

Hope that helps.

Hi again,

I went and tried the solution you have posted but I am looking to use a custom gif animation as the loader. An example can be found at www.ilovedust.com

I apologize for hassling you about something that is not standard in your theme. Thank you again for the help :)

SwiftIdeas

Ahh ok. Well that would be pretty much the same technique, but either placing an image within the div that you position, or using a background image through css for it. You could then hide the div on load.

Hope that helps :)

Hi, is there anyway to assign a default sidebar position and widget area. Eg. all posts use sidebar right and widget area 1, all pages use sidebar right and widget area 2. If not and its not too complicated is there anyway of adding it in a future update.

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Yes this is possible. What you’ll need to do is go to /includes/meta-boxes.php and change the standard value for the field. For example, line 328-345:

// SIDEBAR CONFIG
array(
    'name' => 'Sidebar configuration',
    'id'   => "{$prefix}sidebar_config",
    'type' => 'select',
    // Array of 'key' => 'value' pairs for select box
    'options' => array(
        'no-sidebars'        => 'No Sidebars',
        'left-sidebar'        => 'Left Sidebar',
        'right-sidebar'        => 'Right Sidebar',
        'both-sidebars'        => 'Both Sidebars'
    ),
    // Select multiple values, optional. Default is false.
    'multiple' => false,
    // Default value, can be string (single value) or array (for both single and multiple values)
    'std'  => 'no-sidebars',
    'desc' => 'Choose the sidebar configuration for the detail page of this portfolio item.',
),

change the std value to “right-sidebar”.

Hope that helps!

Greetings,

I recently purchased Pinpoint. I applaud how you have thoughtfully blended so many features and a considerable amount of flexibility into a theme that’s efficient and easy to use.

I recognize the proven capabilities, excellent browser support, and responsiveness of the Skeleton framework you have chosen as a foundation for Pinpoint, but I believe grids that limit viewers to a width of 960 pixels are growing long in the tooth. Do you plan to update Pinpoint in the future to support wider widths such as the 1140-pixel responsive grid?

I realize what I suggest is a major undertaking, and Pinpoint is an ideal foundation for many sites I produce. In the interim, however, I’m wondering if there might be a quick way to adjust the CSS containers to support either the Flex or Revolution sliders at full width of the screen, not the full-width of the page container, which is set to 940 pixels.

I can code some pretty fancy CSS3, so I’ll begin looking for an approach, but any suggestions you might have to save time would be appreciated. Thank you.

SwiftIdeas

Thank you for the feedback, and the kind words!

It’s something that we have contemplated, but as of yet have seen little interest for it. Unfortunately we haven’t looked into a quick way to adjust it, as we think it would likely require a different css framework.

It is definitely something that we’re going to look at for themes in a few months or so.

Hello :)

1.For some reason, My logo is not showing up centered although I have it set to that in the admin options. Please advise.

2. What is the sizing for the revolution slider at when set to full screen mode? It keeps increasing my photo size.

3. How can I change the navigation menu fonts?

SwiftIdeas

Hi Avonda,

1 – Can you send us a support ticket with a link so we can take a look?

2 – Full width boxed is 1000px, otherwise it’s 940px.

3 – The menu uses the body font, within Pinpoint Options. We may look at adding this as a separate option soon though.
