Hi i just installed the demo and got this: Revolution Slider Error: Slider with alias homesliderthin not found. So it doesn`t show up! Can you help me please!?
Revolution Sliders aren’t included in the standard WordPress export. Here is the import.txt for you for that slider though

Excuse man i have another question; it’s possible that the menu items may occupy only a line?. I mean, they go from one extreme to another and not only on the right like in your demo example. Thanks again!

Hello, while editing a page we can’t select the widget in the Sidebar Options.
We can choose Sidebar configuration: Left, Right or both but after we can’t choose which widget would be in the sidebar chosen.

Is there a way to replace the social networking (top header) section with another custom menu? Or is there an option for a top navigation as well as the main nav and footer?
Unfortunately not, there is only support for 1 menu out of the box.

Ins’t this just install Wordpress, Install Theme, Install Plugins, Import XML, and activate Revolution Slider?

The revolution slider sliders aren’t included in the WordPress export process. I’ve attached the slider export from our demo homepage for you. You will need to create a slider in the Revolution Slider then import the file.

I installed the slider. Activated it, and used this txt file you gave me to import. Images are broken. Could you please guide me? You have different demos, does the txt file contain all sliders for all demos? How does revolution slider know which images to display? I still get this error.
Revolution Slider Error: Slider with alias rev_slider not found.
Maybe you mean: ‘slider1’
You will need to change the alias in the revolution slider block on the page to show that slider.
The images are included within the demo content xml. If you import that, and it completes successfully then you should see the images.

I am having a problem uploading the Theme to my wordpress. It give the error that it can’t find Style.css. Can you please provide guidance on how to fix this?
Sounds like you’re trying to upload the whole download zip, not the “pinpoint.zip” file within which is the actual WordPress theme.
Make sure you unzip the file you downloaded from themeforest, and within that unzipped folder you’ll find what you need to upload.

Sounds like your /wp-content/uploads folder isn’t writeable. Make sure you have it set to CHMOD 755 – http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

Hello Ed, I am trying to have a picture on my site click to another page. I’m using single image but there is no way the I can see to update the url when clicked.
There isn’t a link field in the single image asset at the moment – we’ve added this in the next update. For now, you can embed an image within a text block.

Add the following to Pinpoint Options > General Options > Custom CSS and change the value.

You could use the standard WordPress gallery shortcode, or use the sliders shortcode? Both can be done through the Add Media popup. You can do this either in the default content editor or the Page Builder Text Block.

Hey mate, amazing template…one small error.
We have imported all the Demo content (pinpoint) to begin with, everything is fine, but as soon as we hit “SAVE Menu” in the wordpress appearance-menu section it saves but only half of the menu items so only Home and those under home and Features and a few of the sub menus under features, the rest dissapear.
Any ideas?

You can password protect a page, that you could choose who you provide the password to it for. Further than that, you’d need a plugin for special functionality.
We have styled the standard WordPress widget, but personally I haven’t used any other than that.

Hello !!! I have two problems and Im trying to solve them by myself without success, so I need help. 1/ the color customizer doesn’t work: I can change the color but it doesn’t save anything. 2/ navigation doesn’t work: I can activate the “Nav arrow indiciator” and the sub menu doesn’t work either (parent’s page)

In the page builder is there a component which is suitable for listing articles in order of hits, so a “most popular in this category” kind of thing?

In portfolio Filter, is not showing all the portfolio categories, only shows the categories that belongs to the products shown in the actual page.
http://inmortaldragon.com/productosThat is how the portfolio works. The items need to be displayed in order to be filtered. If you need to show all your items then you can set the item count to a high number, or -1

Hi I have posted a number of issues I’m experiencing with the theme and the revolution slider. I’ve sent through various screen shots etc, and posted them via your Support login on the SwiftPSD web site, but I havent had a response to any of the 3-4 tickets I have raised in the past 24 hours.
In essence – Revolution slider is stretching very image and every slider to full page width – even when that slider has been set to a smaller size or a small image is used in a slider – which is not the result I want.
When I switch to a non-pin point theme in wordpress – and then try the exact same revolution slide/slider created, everything works as expected (eg if Revolution was set to fixed at 300×200 – then thats exactly how the slider appears)

Ed – Its ticket 2058 and 2019 – neither have had a response – 2019 was entered last night at 9pmish GMT – and I updated it 7 hours ago .
2058 is further information in support of 2019 – about 2 hours ago and contains various screen shots etc.
You did reply super promptly to the other tickets (on other topics) I raised yesterday – which was greatly appreciated
Ahh ok, it’s because you updated it that it got bumped up the list (we work from the bottom).
If 2058 is the same issue, then it should have been kept in the same ticket for reference.
We aim to reply to all tickets within 24-48 hours, but usually it’s within 10.

Ed…It looks like text boxes can be full, 3/4, 1/2, or 1/4 width. The slider will then fit into the width of the box – thats fine – but it will continue to stretch the images into that space…..the issue is the ‘stretched’ image…there seems to be no way to place a small image in the slider and have that image ‘stay’ at that size without filling up the entire space of the ‘slider’
I’m guessing that the image that is getting stretched is the main image that you upload for the slider, not an image that you place within it?

Ed..if I guess at your question….Each slide ‘requires’ an image, and is it this image that gets stretched…once that image has been used to create the slider, then it appears possible to add text block , other images etc to ‘float’ in over that image…...
Yes – its the ‘image’ to appears is a pre-req for creating a slide that is stretching (I checked whether there was an option to add ‘nothing’ to create a slide, but that was not possible – though could use a blank image??.
Have I interpreted the way Revolution works??
We have the sliders themselves set up to be responsive automatically, saves users having to set it manually the whole time. If you’d like to override this – you can use this custom css in Pinpoint Options > General Options > Custom CSS

Sorry, didn’t see your previous question.
The way it works I guess depends on how you’re going to use it. I guess in your case, it would be ok to use the main image as the required image. Whereas most of the time we set them up for full width, so we upload a slide background as the required image, and then the main images within the slider itself.

Not sure if I fully understand….here is where I am up to: If I put the slider in a text box I have some control over the slider size…..What is you advice for a method of me being able tohave a (say) white background (or say blue) in the slider that occupies the full sapce of the slider, but then to have a single Photo/Image occupy a fixed and specific position in the slider (eg the image will just be 1/4 of the slider) -
Is the technique here to load a ‘blank’ image as the image for the slide, and then to work with image layers across the top of the slide
I would recommend uploading a solid blue image for the background, and then add in image layers.

Ed I ‘finally’ get it. As I need to put my primary website into maintenance mode before I can do any work before I can work with pinpoint (I should have just experiment on my desktop first) – it took me a while to understand why Revolution was built the way it is. I can see the images that are added to layers are not stretched !!! (Phew – thats good). I suppose the confusing thing was why an image was required to create a new slide (it was this image that was stretched) – The Slider designer should have thought that some people just want a white background, or maybe a ‘block’ of colour that can be changed or even a transparent background. I know this can all be fudged by creating a few by creating a few colour JPEGS (eg a white block, a blue block etc etc) that will then be stretched to create a ‘blank canvas’ background.
If it helps, the slider I have been using is Royal Slider – found that to easy to understand and works great.
Also – Would there be any disadvantage if I continued to use my own slider . I would still use the PageLayout function you have and simply work with the shortcodes. I was wondering whether I would be at a disadvantage in some future update if I used my own slider
I understand what you mean regarding the need for a background image slide. Glad you finally understood it.
I have seen that slider, and it looks great – but unfortunately the author doesn’t allow for extended licenses.
No you’d be at no disadvantage, you can definitely use it if you like!

Can I do different backgrounds per page?
Not out the box, but you could probably use a plugin such as – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-post-background/
Alternatively, you could do it with custom css, based on the page ID. If you are competent with a little css, that would be easy.

Not seamless with css but if I can spot it once I buy the theme and learn how to do it that would be great. Otherwise I’ll consider that background plugin. Also what if the client wanted each navigation item to be different color. So for example The home button is standard, the about is pink the Gallery is Purple and so forth. Is this possible?
Again, you can do that with some custom css. Each menu item has a unique ID, so you can add code based on that ID. Happy to help with that too.
