I’m using WordPress Jetpack with this theme but I’d love to know how I can use Jetpack’s “Facebook Like Box” widget to the page builder.

I know it can be added as a sidebar widget but is there a way to build i in to the themes pagebuilder?

This poses a larger question about being able to use other plugin widgets in the page builder. Would it be possible to have another module that allows this?

Hi there,

Try this – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-shortcode/

I’ve not personally used it, but should hopefully work! :)

Hi there, I am trying to change the background on the theme but I cannot change it – none of the options in the background section seem to work. Have I done something wrong?

Thanks

Hi, this is an awesome theme!

Some questions though.

1)On top of the main menue are on the right side the quicklinks for e-mal, search, language, etc. – Is ist possible to make for example the mail sign-up more flexible by make this area widgetable (for placing my own form?) or make it at least compatible with the interesting MyMail Plaugin from CodeCanyon?

2) Is there any chance to pass some more options to the Google Maps opject in Swift Page Builder to make maps better match my theme? I´d like them to have no saturation. See: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/maptypes?hl=de#StyledMaps and http://gmaps-samples-v3.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/styledmaps/wizard/index.html

3) Any hints on making the sticky nav menu transparent if it sticks on top?

4) Thanks!

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

1) This would need customisation, you would need to change the code in header.php, and likely the styling in style.css – it’s not something that’s supported as standard.

2) We’ll look into adding this in a future update, I’ve added it to the wishlist :)

3) You could add the following to Pinpoint Options > General Options > Custom CSS:

#mini-header { background: rgba(255,255,255,0.6); }

Hi Ed

My old posts had a lot of bullted lists ul>
  • dah dah
    • dah dah etc etc etc

    These will not display at all – they come out as very small font text – all left aligned.

    Is this something you have seen – is it ‘part’ of the them

    The source code on the page is fine – (eg checking with firefoxes style editor)

    Regards

    PS: I have upgraded to WP 3.5.1 and under SETTINGS-WRITING i have ticked WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically

    Hi Ed

    Just found this note for one of your bug fixes from January

    FIXED bug where list items weren’t styled within text blocks

    I downloaded the theme last week – so should have an updated version.

    I wonder whether most posts are still experiencing this issue….my bulleted lists are appearing as plain text

    I have a random quick question, is there a way to force a breadcrumb onto the root/home/front page?

    Pardon the rather dumb questions, but the shortcodes can only be used when creating pages/posts right? I assume they wont work in form plugin module.

    On another note, while I am here:

    I have been tinkering around with the theme for a few days now, and I have to say it the customization options are awesome. I do have a few things for the wish list :) because as much as I don’t mind plummeting into the css abyss it’d be nice not to sometimes.

    1) Datepicker ends up looking a bit odd. 2) Dropdown menus vary in size and width across browsers. Height also doesn’t match other fields. 3) Would love the option for a static background image

    Still overall top notch!

    SwiftIdeas

    Sure, add the following to Pinpoint Options > General Options > Custom CSS:

    .home .breadcrumbs-wrap { display: block; }

    Shortcodes usually work anywhere where you can place shortcodes. Best bet is to give it a go and see :)

    We always welcome requests!

    1) Datepicker? Can you show me what you mean 2) Can you show us some examples of this (in a support ticket) please 3) Added to the list :)

    Hi,

    Is there a template for the contact page as shown in the demo? if not is there a shortcode to get the google map to look like it does on the demo contact page?

    SwiftIdeas

    All you need to do is install the Contact Form 7 plugin, then you can paste the shortcode anywhere you want the contact form to be!

    Hope that helps :)

    Hi,

    Is there a default lightbox for images with the Pinpoint theme? When I click on images within a post or page (standard WP gallery) the page goes dark as if they are in lightbox mode, but the popup image itself doesn’t display. It would be good if it did work!

    I have since installed WooCommerce and the WC lightbox is working fine on the product images.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    SwiftIdeas

    Make sure you have the image set to link to the image url, rather than attachment page – that will make it work :)

    Hi,

    I’d like to delete social, search, translation and login icons in the menu bar due to have more space to show page links in the whole bar. I am trying to add one more menu link and it is been breaking to the second line.

    I disabled all this icons (turn off) in PinPoint Option but it doesnt get me more space to full width menu as I want.

    Thank you.

    SwiftIdeas

    Add the following to the custom css box within Pinpoint Options > General Options:

    #menubar-controls { display: none; }
    #main-navigation { width: 95%; }

    That will give you more space :)

    Greetings!

    This theme is fantastic, absolutely love it!! I have a few things I’m hoping you can help me with.

    I’ve gone through your previous comments but I didn’t see anything of what I’m really looking for, so hope it’s possible. Building this site for a client and she would like to see:

    1) The top menu nav text larger, (Home, About, Services…etc) possible?

    2) The current colors of the social media icons don’t really match her page, can I change the colors of the icons? Need them a bit more pastille…

    3) She has a profile on houzz.com… how can I get an icon for this?

    Thank you very very much for your time and help!!

    SwiftIdeas

    Great, glad you like it! :)

    1) You can use the following custom css (Pinpoint Options > General Options) and increase the value:

    nav .menu li { font-size: 12px; }

    2) Unfortunately not as standard, you would need to add your own or use a plugin.

    3) Again, would probably be worth you adding your own if you need extra buttons.

    Hope that helps!

    Ed,

    Really appreciate your quick response.

    I put that code into the CSS and increased it all the way up to 24 just to be able to see the difference and that size is not changing, any suggestions?

    If I get a plugin to change the social media icons do you have any you suggest on which one I should use?

    Also, we are a marketing and web development firm that builds pretty exclusively in Wordpress and we’ve used a lot of themes but we love this one!! We are wondering if you guys do any customization work at an hourly rate on the side? We would like to create some sort of partnership with you!

    Thanks for your time,

    Hi, thanks for the great theme. Please check http://jpcorcoran.kirimgan.com/ I added text to the footer, but footer is not responsive. If you change window size to the minimum you will see it. How can i fix it?

    By the way your main support button does not work.

    SwiftIdeas

    Hi there,

    You can fix that by going into style.css and removing line 2050-2055 -

    #footer-widgets .two-thirds {
        width: 620px;
    }
    #footer-widgets .thirds {
        width: 300px;
    }

    We will fix this in v1.4, thanks for letting us know!

    Love this theme. On the fence to purchase yet though. Is there a Gallery feature that allows you to have a Gallery of images that are filterable? NOT A PORTFOLIO? So if you view the entire Media Gallery you can filter based on an image’s tag or some other criteria, then after you filter the images you can click on one and you get the lightbox view that you can scroll through?

    Currently it only appears as though the Portfolio items are only filterable and when you click on a Portfolio imgae you dont get the lightbox, you are brought to that Portfoliio post first.

    Thanks Francesco

    SwiftIdeas

    Hi Franceso,

    There isn’t a gallery feature as such, however you could create a separate portfolio categeory called “gallery” for example, which you could then add items to separate from the standard portfolio items.

    On a per item basis, you can set the thumbnail link to be lightbox, however you won’t be able to scroll through them as standard – can be achieved with a small code change if this is something you want though.

    Hope that helps :)

    - Ed

    I can maybe achieve this functionality then with some help from my programmer. Thanks.

    I am still kind of surprised that they dont have Galleries anywhere with this Filter function as well . . . maybe an idea for a future implementation?

    We’ll add it to the user wishlist :)

    Hello again!

    Please advise on the following

    1. How to add a custom image to the header. I tried to edit it in the custom css section but nothing worked.

    2. How to add custom styling to the text box areas (specifically, custom background color and border color. )

    3.

    SwiftIdeas

    1. Pinpoint Options > Header Options

    2. This is a bit of a general one, as they could be used anywhere so not best to target globally. Use developer tools > inspect element on Chrome to find the correct classes that you need to target them.

    Hi,

    another short question: On your demo (at: http://themes.swiftpsd.com/pinpoint/example-demo-sites/) The main navigation menu says “Home” on the top of the page – as text.

    When scrolling down, the navigation menu in the #mini-header div now shows “icon-home” instead.

    This doesn´t work on the bundled demo content. Any hints how to (re-)implement it?

    Thanks.

    SwiftIdeas

    In Appearance > Menus, set the title of the “Home” page to “home”.

    Hope that helps :)

    Hi,

    Spent a lot of time reviewing this theme, great work.

    Three Quick question before sale: 1. Can blog post have anything sliders? So I could have a blog post featuring different artist, videos of them talking about there work in a slide show at the top of a post?

    2. Can the home page be a blog with sidebar, with header slider that also shows those post—-basically, a content slider?

    3. What type of hosting account would you recommend as far as performance?

    Keep up the great work and thanks in advance for the feedback!

    lo

    SwiftIdeas

    Hi lo,

    Thanks for the kind words :)

    1 – Currently you can only have images in sliders.

    2 – Yes, you can choose what category the posts slider shows on a per page basis.

    3 – It should run fine on shared hosting, but it really depends on your traffic. Would recommend at least a VDS if it’s worth it for your site.

    Hope that helps!
