... some more questions :
1. do you support galleries in page builder? (std wp galleries in a post)
2. how can we use the font awesome icons? (builder element / shortcode?)
3. can we add more google fonts (or even custom .woff/.otf fonts)? we might need more fonts for intl locales for non-english sites (like greek etc)
4. clients, testimonials etc are custom post types, right ?
5. will you support (pricing) tables in an update?
thx for being sooooo… patient & responsive
1 – You can use the gallery shortcode within a text block page builder asset. Will work just as it does in a post.
2 – You can either use the i tag with the class as shown on their website, or we have an icon shortcode which allows you to choose size, float, container options.
3 – All Google fonts are automatically loaded, and updated every 7 days. You could add custom fonts, but these would need to be added manually. We want to look into easier ways to use custom fonts without our framework soon.
4 – Yes.
5 – http://themes.swiftpsd.com/pinpoint/pricing-tables/
You’re welcome, hope that helps
- Ed
1 & 3. so update your tf theme page, because galleries & fonts auto-update are strong selling points
Thanks for the tip
- Ed
Hi, purchased the theme but cant seem to find the Revolution Slider. How do I get it?
If you go to Appearance > Install Plugins, you should find it there ready to install.

Hi! Import demo content doesn’t seem to work for me – tried main one or digital agency one. Browse and upload file, keep default author and tick download attachments. Have waited for ~10 mins. I can see images in my uploads directory, however the importer just displays a blank page in the backend with “admin.php?import=wordpress&step=2” in the URL. Any ideas? Thanks! P.S. The .zip theme archive contains “__MACOSX” directory in the root of the archive, so my wordpress was struggling to install the theme, might want to remove it. UPDATE: The demo content has now come through on my site – you just need to be patient for sometime – false alarm!
Glad it worked in the end! There is a lot of content in most of the demo content XMLs, so it will likely take a while.
The _MACOSX directory is something that the default Mac compressor adds, but that shouldn’t cause an issue with your upload? I’ll look into a way around this. Thanks for the note.

Hello…i added 5 team members and then used the page builder to add the team carousel…and i cannot find a place to check that the carousel rotates. only 4 team members show up. Can you point me in the right direction???
http://www.sunnydawnjohnston.com/redesign/sunlight-alliance/Make sure you use the “Team Carousel” asset
- Ed
i am not sure what you mean when you say team carousel “asset”?? can you please give me some further direction?
actually i see in your instructions… To show your team members, you will need to create a page that includes either the “Team” or “Team Carousel” page builder assets. and that is exactly what i did.
Apologies, I thought you were using the Team asset rather than the Team Carousel asset. I’m not sure what the issue is, but if you could please log a support ticket at http://support.swiftpsd.com then we’ll happily look into it and resolve it for you.
- Ed
and one more thing…when you go to click on the “find out more” text and navigate to that page in the team members section…you loose the footer at the bottom. Again…am I must missing some setting some where?
this is the error message on the bottom of your demo site…in firefox
Fatal error: Call to undefined function next_post_link_plus() in /home/swiftpsd/themes/pinpoint/wp-content/themes/pinpoint/single-team.php on line 78
Thanks for pointing that out, will get that fixed in v1.1. For now, open up single-team.php and replace line 76-81 with:
<div class="pagination-wrap portfolio-pagination full-width clearfix"> <div class="nav-previous"><?php next_post_link(__('<i class="icon-chevron-left" /> <span class="nav-text">%link</span>', 'swiftframework'), '%title'); ?></div> <div class="nav-next"><?php previous_post_link(__('<span class="nav-text">%link</span><i class="icon-chevron-right" />', 'swiftframework'), '%title'); ?></div> </div>and add this to the custom css box within theme options:
.single-team .pagination-wrap a:hover { text-decoration: none; }- Ed
another question…in your demo site..you list 11 templates…and after an install…the only option available…default and full width showcase. again am i missing something?
All of those templates are custom built, there aren’t any templates so to speak as it’s completely up to you how you set up your pages. Our templates are there to be used as a reference. If you would like the complete template to paste into a page, I’ll happily send it over.
- Ed
got it…installed the xml source file and it is all making sense…thanks for your patience!!
You’re welcome
- Ed
Congrats on the excellent theme !!
But … I am experiencing the same issue Jake72 pointed out though: ‘Hi! Import demo content … my uploads directory’.
Steps taken:
1. WordPress 3.5 clean install
2. Followed your Pinpoint doc steps
Working from local server: Wamp server version 2.2 (Apache/2.4.2 (Win64) PHP/5.4.3)
Not sure what is still causing the problem
Hmm.. We’ve tested this local and live and not experienced any issues. Have you tried any of the example site XMLs?.. Please can you log a support ticket at http://support.swiftpsd.com and we’ll investigate it further.
Thanks,
- Ed
Logged a ticket
Update (from 4 days ago!): thanks again for all your help. All is well again
You’re welcome
- Ed
@tasoskouk: this one will work fine for you: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/video-thumbnails/
This looks pretty nice and I love the option of the languages. How is this option enabled? Can it be used without WPML? Thanks.
You could probably modify it to work with another plugin, but it’s ready to go with WPML and we definitely recommend it – it’s a fantastic plugin.
- Ed
Hi, Ed,
Thanks for replying so quickly. I have not used WPML before (I’ve used Transposh which seems to work very well for me) so I will need to look into WPML. This theme is definitely on my top list and I’ll be purchasing it shortly.
PS. Love the promo video!
Great! If you need any help with WPML then feel free to give us a shout. Glad you like the video
- Ed
Hi, Ed,
I had another question about this template … Is it possible to make the portfolio/gallery items open in a Lightbox/prettyPhoto instead of going to a post page? I love the masonry look but would want to use it for images, not posts. I might just be missing this? Thanks.
*update, nevermind, I think I found it.
Yes, you can choose the following thumbnail link options – http://cl.ly/MCEf
Hope that helps
- Ed
Thanks!!
found another issue…using the team page from you demo xml the following page does not have the footer either
http://www.sunnydawnjohnston.com/redesign/?team=sunny-dawn-johnstonHave you replaced the code that I commented to you earlier?
Probably best if you log a support ticket at http://support.swiftpsd.com then I can keep track of it

+3 moreGood job, is Youtube Video supported on Frontpage (slider) or just Vimeo?
Yes, you can add YouTube instead if you like.
- Ed
Awesome theme will be considering for our next project too!:)
Who made the promo video its also awesome?.
Would love to use similar in a project i have on?
Thanks!
We’re a team of two, and my business partner Kristian created the video. Took a lot of work, but we’re incredibly happy with it and the response has been brilliant
- Ed
Well done it sure does rock!
Hi Ed,
When is v1.1 going to be available? Any idea?
We’re hoping for a release early next week, depending on what we decide to add in feature-wise. What are you hoping for?
- Ed
Well, I will be purchasing the theme anyway, I love it. I just wanted to make sure the mentioned glitches are gone
But if there’s one feature I would really, really, REALLY want, it is the ability to upload a retina version of the logo.
And vertical tabs would be wonderful too
And I wonder who is responsible for the non profit demo (graphical) design? And, is he/she for hire?
Thanks! Tom
Ok, well yes we will be fixing any known bugs with v1.1 next week.
Well, you’ll be happy to know that you can already do that
.. All you need to do is upload a retina size image, and it will resize to fit the container (and therefore be retina). If you have a small logo you may need a little custom css, but I can provide you with that.
We’ll add vertical tabs to the list for a future update.
He is my business partner, Krisitan, who is responsible for design & content. Unfortunately not available for hire due to our current theme workload!
- Ed
All great news Ed, thanks a bunch! Sorry to hear Krisitan is unavailable. Please let me know when he is!
Thanks! Tom
Hi I am really interested in purchasing your theme but had one quick question. I am looking to update this web site, http://ywamnewcastle.com, and one of the key design features I need is the top banner. Can I add a similar banner to this theme instead of just the basic logo? I guess like the not profit skin (green one). Can I interchange elements or features you show on the different templates?
Yes, you can use a full width header like the non profit example. You can optionally show the social icons and text over it if you like as well.
Yes, with our page builder, you can literally create pages exactly how you want them. You choose what you want on the page and where
- Ed
Great work! Good luck
Thanks dude
- Ed
WAUW – you guys ROCK! I think this is the most versatile, well-presented, good looking WP-theme I’ve ever seen on this site. Very, very well done. Be proud of yourself
If you make it a one page-theme as well, then it must be the sharp swiss army knife of WP
Well, when you make it that good, you do rise the expectations. One thing I’m constantly wondering about is why almost no-one makes the theme easy adoptable for mailchimp newsletters. It’s almost never done – and if it is, it’s usually in the bottom. Why not make a top bar or something with that? That would be really great.
The only other thing I can possibly point my finger on is the pricing tables. They look nice, but it would be great with a more table-like approach where there’s a left border with features and then the boxes are refering to the index in the left border.
Besides that: GREAT job. But is the newsletter option something you might consider? Would love to buy NOW but am thinking about waiting for v.1.1 next week with the bugs fixed
Oh, and one last question: How much of the demo content is provided? Would love to have the template for the sophisticated blog posts!
Again: Be proud of yourself. You did goooood!
Thank you very much for the kind words! We’re working on using this framework for a one-page theme, so look out for it in the future
Well, it’s funny you should say that – we have integrated newsletters
– http://cl.ly/M7AG
You can provide a mailchimp subscribe action URL and when the user enters their email and presses enter it will go to the confirm page – try it out on the demo.
Can you show me an image of what you mean by the pricing table design?
All of the demo content is provided, for the demo, and all 6 example sites – so that you can replicate whichever one you want.
Thanks, again. Appreciated
- Ed
—
Hehe – so you ARE the shining swiss army knife of WP. Great job! Totally missed the newsletter icon. Thought it was the contact-button (which might is a little dangerous – do you provide a boxed option as well – for instance to use as a widget in the blog).
We’re having a (far too long) pricing table like this at the moment: http://bit.ly/Snini2. It should be shortened, I know – but would love an option to put in such kind of information. The only thing that pricing table is missing is separators.
Looking forward to your one-page-theme as well, but will definitely buy this one as well (do you already know by now that it will be so similar so it would be somewhat easy to switch from this template to the one-page-template without too much adoption with blogposts, gallery etc.?).
Everyone should buy this theme! This will be a massive hit!
Looks like it
It does, however not sure what could better suit the newsletter options – we’ll look into it! I know that mailchimp do a widget for sidebars, but we’ll look into adding this as a page builder asset.
Hmm.. Ok, I can’t promise that we’ll be able to support that style soon – but we’ll add it to the list.
It will use the same framework, but will require more theme options panel to be able to set up the one-page layout. We want to make it easy to swap between our things, so we will do what we can to make that possible (using the same page assets, just different styling).
- Ed
Great. And yes – I bought it
Just one quick question of something I have might misunderstood. The account option in the menu (all to the right) – is that just for login on wp-admin, or is it for clients to have individual based sites/pages? The last thing would be über cool, just can’t figure it out. If it doesn’t support this, can you then recommend a plugin that will do the job?
Thanks for the purchase
That is just for the standard WordPress login yes. I’m not sure if there is a plugin that does that? I’ll have a look when I get a chance!
- Ed
Ah, OK. Well, no need for our clients to get confused with a login purely for WP
I’m talking about integration with a plugin like this: http://codecanyon.net/item/privatecontent-multilevel-content-plugin/1467885 – a multilevel plugin, where a client for instance get access to one or a few pages with billings, project files etc. (actually just a WP page that’s updated by the owner of the website, but accesible for someone with a unique username and password).
Sure, it’s there for the people that need it
That does look pretty slick. I’ve added it to the wishlist, hopefully will be able to add support for that sometime soon! Cheers for the link.
- Ed
Oh, that would be great. I do think that some people/readers might find it confusing that there’s a login on the front page, if it’s only to be used by the administrator(s) of the site. If it were made into a multilevel page with private access to selected visitors your swiss army knife would be really, really sharp, so I really hope you’ll integrate it in the near future
Have a great weekend!
Well it’s there for sites that have users who register to comment, or for the implementation of 3rd party membership plugins (which we make look at integrating at a later stage). We’re definitely going to look into this though!
Thanks, hope you have a great weekend too!
- Ed
Amazing! Congrats! I agree with the others – the care that has gone into this is obvious for all to see.
I love it but see some small usability issues that could be improved:
1. The sidebar menu links are only clickable on the word rather than the whole cell. If you could make the whole cell box clickable (like in the drop down menu links) that would make it easier to navigate and select, particularly when the page link is a very short word. If the links also changed colour upon rollover of their cell box like the drop down menu that would be fantastic. An improved sidebar navigation although a small change would help Pinpoint become more functional for large content sites.
2. I also find the vertical spacing between these links too wide, am I able to tighten that up?
3. The minimal accordion has the same issue as above – if the whole cell box was clickable that would be great.
4. The slider post thumbnail images for portfolio and blog are not clickable except for the + sign in the corner – when the other images are clickable anywhere I think this could cause confusion.
And some questions:
5. Can an image slider can be placed on any page with any width? (I see that revolution sliders are full width only)
6. Can a background image be placed in the page header area (grey box between menu and body)
7. I also have a need like Andy77 above for a more complex pricing table with features to the left side.
Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words. A serious amount of care and effort has gone into this, and it’s appreciated that it’s noticed
1. Are you referring to the list items in the sidebar, for things such as category, archive listings etc? If so, thanks – we’ll definitely improve that in the 1.1 update.
2. Sure, I can provide you with the css to tighten this up – no problem!
3. Will improve this too, good spot.
4. Agreed that it isn’t expected, but then you can choose to have a video thumbnail, which has no overlay either. We like that you can have a slider with the controls, but I guess we could change it to have no controls and a hover, with autoplay on the slider. I guess it’s choice, we decided on the former.
5. Yes, you can put a rev slider at any width. The Rev Slider asset is used for the main slider of the page (so that it can be set without a margin on the left/right), but you can just embed the rev slider shortcode anywhere and it will resize to fit the container. You can set a text block to be 1/4, 1/2, 2/3 etc and then it will fit that block.
6. Yes, this would need to be done with custom css but I can provide an example for you.
7. Hmm, ok. I’ll have a think if this is something we can implement sooner rather than later – it seems a popular request!
Hope that helps
- Ed
1. Yes, refering to sidebar list items such as the shortcodes page links on this page: http://themes.swiftpsd.com/pinpoint/accordion-toggles/
I’ll send a pm with some examples of what I see as great sidebar links practice.
I have a question regarding use of the page builder: Does it pose issues moving the site to another theme in future which doesn’t use a page builder? I’m hesitant to set up large content sites using a tool like this if it means the content would need to be manually copied out of page builder into a normal page format in the future. Can you shed any light on this?
Thanks for your responsiveness!
Thank you, we’ll definitely make that change for the v1.1 update.
That would leave you with shortcodes showing in the content (as they wouldn’t exist anymore). If you were to not use the page builder on posts / portfolio items (it is optional) – then you wouldn’t have an issue with the content side, only pages.
Anytime
- Ed
If i can make a few suggestions:
When using the Impact + button you should either have an “Impact only” or the ability to remove the button. Also it would be nice if you can change the font within the panel, or add html to the text to maybe bold something or change the color. I don’t like referencing other themes, but this page does it nice: http://themeforest.net/item/aqua-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-template/full_screen_preview/3649588
Secondly, I suggest maybe you have some templates already made, maybe some that have some predesigns, etc.. so if I click on “templates” in the editor it will populate the page with the boxes or spacers already to go. I know you allow the user to do it, but if you had some predefined ones, it would be a nice feature.
I am still playing around with it, so I am sure I will have more suggestions.
Thanks for the feedback.
We’ll add an option to remove the button in the next update. You can change the font within the Theme Options panel, but in terms of styling the text within the impact text it supports html so you can use things such as:
We’re hoping to be able to add this. Hopefully we can get it in there soon. Until then if you need a template we’ll happily send you the code.
Hope that helps!
- Ed
-
Thanks for that. I was using html code but nothing was showing but the code. I will try it again and see, maybe i had a syntax issue.
I’m testing out the impact text element and it seems there are a few issues with it. Please could you log a support ticket at http://support.swiftpsd.com so that we can supply you with a fix once we’ve sorted the issues out?
Thanks,
- Ed
Been playing around with the theme and it is great, extremely versatile. Is there any way to make the Clients builder element a carousel as a site i’m working on has quite a few logos to add. Another nice touch would be the ability to label the items in the page builder as having just icons could get a bit confusing!!!
Glad you’re enjoying it!
Sure we’ll add that to the list of things to add for v1.1, hoping to get that out next week.
We’ve also planned to improve the asset indication too – thanks for the feedback
- Ed
Nice one, I think this theme is going to sell really well. I have a slight problem with something i’m trying to achieve (not a theme problem but a styling issue). I’m pretty much there with it but can’t for the life of me figure out whats causing a slight appearance issue. Do you have an email I can send a link to see if you can work out what causing the problem? No worries if not i’m sure i’ll figure it out eventually!!!
Scrap that, Just seen the support section so will post it there.
Will take a look at your ticket as soon as I can
- Ed
