Yes, I know something definitely worth adding! Font Awesome icons! I just realized I would need to use these, but they are not integrated. Could you please add Font Awesome for the next update?
Thanks, Tom
P.S. I am going to purchase today anyway, can’t wait to play with the theme
Hi Tom,
Not sure how you managed to miss it, but FontAwesome is definitely integrated!
http://themes.swiftpsd.com/pinpoint/fonts-and-icons/Hope that helps
- Ed
Haha jee I really overlooked that!! Okay, let me click that purchase button…
Done!
Thanks for the purchase, enjoy
- Ed
Ed, above the menu is a thin line. In the non-profit demo it isn’t there. How do I turn it off?? I have searched my behind off
Pinpoint Options > Header Options > Header accent bar
- Ed
lol oh is that what that option is! Thanks Ed!
By the way, when I installed the non profit demo, I got a small list of errors saying that the post options were wrong. I think these were slides?
Also, after importing the XML, is it correct that I need to set everything myself; header image, colors, fonts, etc? Or did something not go right? Not a big problem, but I wondered?
They were post options, as we upgraded the framework the day before release. We’re updating the files for the next update, but they aren’t an issue
- Ed
Okay thanks. And what about the settings, am I correct that I am supposed to set all the parameters, or did something go wrong?
And one more – sorry – what’s the font used in the non-profit images?
Appreciate your help!
If the options weren’t set then it might have had something to do with the activation or content import. You can either press reset to load the defaults, or import the included txt file to load the demo theme options.
The font is called Blur (Bold).
Hope that helps!
- Ed
Thanks Ed, will check it out.
I think I just ran into what I think is a bug. I have set the ‘online community’ as blog page, both in the ‘read’ settings and the Pinpoint settings. In the page settings I have ‘sidebar two’ and ‘sidebar three’ as sidebars and ‘both sidebars’ on. However, I only get to see ‘sidebar one’ on the right. I have tried out different settings, sidebars, etc. But no matter what settings I change, nothing changes. Any suggestions?
And, where do I set the transition type for the slider? Can’t find it in the plugin settings or in the Pinpoint Slider settings either.
Does it work if you deselect the page in the Reading settings?..
For the Revolution Slider? or the flexslider instances?
- Ed
Hi Ed,
Yes, when I deselect the blog page in “Reading” it works, so that’s something to watch.Only the Homepage should be set, not the blog page, or it doesn’t work.
For the slider, that is the Revolution slider, the one for the frontpage of the non-profit demo. In the demo, the slides slide up, but I get different effects and can’t find where to set that.
I also sent you a PM about the setup of the demo. Perhaps you can check that out?
Thanks a bunch! Tom
Never mind the settings for the slider, found them
Hope you can help out with what I wrote in the PM.

Hi Guys,
I’ve just bouht this theme and it is amazing. Hope that building up my homepage is as easy as installing and uploading the sample content. I’ll count on you if I am having some problems in the near future, This was the theme I was looking for by spending so much time in the past.
Great work!!
Regards
Reimund
Thanks for the purchase Reimund! The page builder is incredibly easy to use, but if you have any issues or questions then feel free to ask
- Ed
This theme looks awesome. Well done guys. And it looks like its actually supported too, which is brilliant after the nightmare I’ve just had with another theme.
Is it possible guys to reduce the height of the slider? It takes up too much of the front page for what I’m after.
Also, on your main demo, the fonts look blocky and pixelated in firefox (see blog). Have you noticed that?
Thank you, support is a priority for us!
Yes, you can set your own height when you create the slider using the Revolution Slider.
Hmm, what version of Firefox are you using? We’ll look into that and get it sorted!
- Ed
Just had a google and it seems that Mozilla fixed this in an update, we have the latest version and it looks great
- Ed
What version are you using. I’m using 17.0.1
18.0, on Mac.
- Ed
Hi SwiftIdeas,
I have been searching through WordPress themes for a while in order to solve a particular publishing problem I’m having. I just saw your Pinpoint theme and I believe it will work really well for us, however, I have 3 quick questions that I would appreciate your feedback on before we make a purchase:
1) Regarding email subscriptions, we currently use Constant Contact for our email newsletter. I noticed that your “Subscription Action Form URL” supports Mail Chimp. Is it possible to incorporate Constant Contact instead?
2) I would like to be able to support display advertising on my site. Is the WP PRO Advertising System plug-in compatible with the Pinpoint theme? If not, can you recommend an Ad plug-in that is.
3) I see from your documentation that SEO is built-in to the theme, however, I’m also interested in using the SEO Wordpress by Yoast plug-in as well. Am I wrong to want to use Yoast? If we use Yoast, do we need to switch off anything in the theme to eliminate redundant code or conflicts?
Thank you, I appreciate your help and look forward to your response.
—LT
Hi LT,
1) It may work without any changes needed by just using the action form URL from Constant Contact. The only thing I can think of that may need modifying is the id of the input field for the email address, which I can help with if needed.
2) Yes, you can easily add the shortcode generated by the plugin to embed the advert wherever necessary in the theme.
3) No you’re not wrong. We’ve done what we can to provide the best SEO optimisation code wise, but by using Yoast you will be able to have control over all the extra things that you will need to manage. You won’t need to switch anything off in the theme.
Hope that helps
- Ed
Hi Ed,
Thank you for the quick response! That all sounds good to me, I need to get a few more ducks in a row before we move ahead, but will most likely purchase PinPoint in the next week or two.
Have a great weekend!
Best,
LT
Sounds great, let us know if you have any more questions or if you need any assistance once you’ve purchase it.
Thanks, you too!
- Ed
Great theme! Really would like to use it.
However the field of application would be a heavy-content (author-only) review site with point ratings (0-10 in half point increments).
There does not necessarily have to be a dedicated review/rating module (especially as we do neither want to use stars nor an automatically generated overall rating). But it would be great having the possibility of sorting reviews by their rating.
Is there any (ideally kinda easy) way to achieve this? Some kind of workaround? The rating itself would be sth like a button or even plain text.
Hope you understand my question.
Thanks!
The best way to do this would probably pick a rating system from codecanyon, or the WordPress plugin repository, and then we can help to implement this for you. The plugin would also probably need to be responsible for the sorting.
If you can find the plugin that offers what you like, I can better offer assistance as to what would be needed to get it to work.
Hope that helps.
- Ed
Quick question I have a couple of personal websites with different domain names that I need to build and I love love love your template. But my question is which one should I license should I buy? I like the $45 dollar one and obviously the extended license is way to expensive and you clear up my confusion thanks. Oh can we integrate buddy press or a membership option to this template?
Hi there!
You would need to buy a regular licence for each domain, so $45 for each domain.
It should be fine to integration buddypress or another membership plugin, but if you have any issues then we’ll happily assist you to resolve them
- Ed
What a terrific theme, congratulations. One question before purchase. It’s possible to create full wide bars or areas in the full with layout wide in the page builder or with a shortcode as is in this other theme http://themeforest.net/item/vanguard-business-portfolio-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/3562193
Thanks George
Hi George,
The only asset that’s possible to make full width is the revolution slider (which has it’s own template), due to the fact that we want to keep the Page Builder as easy to use as possible.
You could of course use custom css to change the styling for certain assets if you wanted, and we could point you in the right direction for this
Hope that helps!
- Ed
Thank you, one question about that, can I use the revolution slider full width in any page? which are the restrctions?
No restrictions, you can use it full width in any page where you set the template as the full width showcase template.
- Ed
Hi there… Just purchased your theme. Looks good. Though I can’t figure out how the heck to get the slider to work and I can’t access the documentation file on your server (error message forbidden). Tried to set up a slideshow with revolution. Then what? How do I get it to show up? Please help! Thanks!
Thanks for pointing that out! Fixed the link now – http://themes.swiftpsd.com/documentation/pinpoint/
Once you’ve set up the slider in the Revolution Slider plugin, you then either create a page and use the Page Builder to add a Layer Slider asset, or use the Full Width Showcase page template and provide the shortcode in the meta options.
If you’re struggling, the demo content is there in the main download for you to import to see how we have created pages.
Hope that helps!
- Ed
Got it. Thanks!
Just a note on how wonderful this theme is! If you are thinking of purchasing, I’d say do it! The flexibility is awesome and the possibilities are endless.
I also want to thank SwiftIdeas for the EXCELLENT support with setting things up and answering questions that I had. If you are looking for theme WITH support, this is it!
Cheers, Tom
Thanks Tom, glad you’re happy with it
- Ed
Hello, i’m about to buy the template : is it compatible to create a child theme ? thanks a lot best regards.
Yes, you shouldn’t have any problems creating a child theme. If you do have any issues – we’ll happily help you resolve them!
- Ed
thanks a lot, best regards
The best theme for any purpose. Congratulations to the author!
Thanks tunel, appreciate the feedback!
- Ed
Hello,
I got an issue few days ago with a theme bought on themeforest. I tried to install it locally on my Mac to set it up before hosting it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t. The developper developped it with Windows and have no Mac to support my trouble. He is an Elite author.
I am now looking for a new theme and seriously consider yours. But before buying it, I need to know. Does it works on Mac?
Rgds, Djul
Yes, it definitely works 100% on Mac. We develop all our themes locally on Mac.
Hope that helps!
- Ed
And you answer quickly!
Thanks Ed.
You’re welcome, let us know if you have any more questions
- Ed
Hello…just a quick question. I’d like to make the width of the container to 1000 pixel. Is that possible to do…and if so…what css style might that be. Loving this theme. It is sooooo flexible!!!!
Hi there,
The theme uses http://www.getskeleton.com/ which is 960px, and it would take quite a lot of work to change. You will need to edit the /css/skeleton.css as this is the file that contains the main structural widths.
- Ed
Tried to access the theme options and got the following message:
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.
What version of WordPress are you using?
- Ed
3.5
Please log a support ticket at http://support.swiftpsd.com with a login so that we can see what’s going on.
- Ed
will do and one more question. how did you get the slider to expand the full width of the browser window on the Architectural Practice Demo???
answered my question above. Now just looking or the settings of
Slider Type: Fixed, Responsive, Full Width
Slider Size
Responsive Sizes
You have these in the Slider documentation, but I cannot find them in the admin area. I only see Responsive/Full Width and a slider height.
We have them hidden as we didn’t want the options to be too complicated for the user. If you would like these options just log a support ticket and we’ll provide you with the replacement files to enable these options. The Responsive/Full Width options are there, are as the slider height.

Hi again. Two quick questions on a Sunday afternoon. Both concerning the individual portfolio items:
1) How do I remove the title on individual cases? It’s easy enough for standard pages – but can’t find it when I’m editing the cases. Would love to have the title displayed below the slider – not above which is standard.
2) How do I remove the data (client name, tags, weblink, date) under the slider? Even if I remove tags etc. it still display the date. Would love to have tags etc. – but not have them displayed on the individual portfolio item.
I know, I’ve said it before, but now I can back it up with hours of testing: Your template ROCK. Never been working with such an easy and versatile theme before – and I’ve worked with quite some. Goooood job!
Hey there!
1) You could remove it individually with some custom css:
.postid-1951 .page-heading { display:none; }We’ll add this to the list of meta options so that it doesn’t require css every time!
2) You could remove the entire bar with some custom css if you like?
.portfolio-details-wrap { display:none; }Thank you, we’re really glad to know that we’ve done a great job
- Ed
1) Hm… can’t get this to work. But isn’t there a way to shut down the title for all portfolio titles (on individual pages – not the overall view of all cases)?
2= This works like a charm. Thanks.
And sorry btw – posted the same question in the support forum, but wasn’t sure what was the appropriate place. I’m glad you’re making the title-thing a standard meta option
1 – Sorry, I should have said that you would have needed to change the postid value to match the item. If you’d like to hide the title on all portfolio items then use the following code:
.single-portfolio .page-heading { display: none; }No worries
- Ed
I just wanted to take a minute and express my thanks for the incredible support I have received so far from the SwiftIdeas team. Seriously, these guys are second to none. I’ve purchased a countless number of themes on here, and have yet to come across one as elegant, easy to use, and well supported as this one.
Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback, it’s great to know that we’re doing a good job!
- Ed
Hi Ed
Great theme. I just noticed that the dropdown menus links aren’t always active when viewing demo site on an ipad. A page refresh fixes the problem. Have you come across this before?
Also just wondering if the logo can be a larger dimension without changing the css manually?
thanks.
Thanks!
Hmm I haven’t seen that issue but will look out for it, thanks for letting us know. Are you saying that the dropdowns don’t work sometimes?
The logo can be a max of 340px as standard, but easily changeable (happy to provide the code).
Hope that helps.
- Ed
Just had a quick test and I can’t seem to replicate any sort of issue. The dropdowns will only show once the page has fully loaded, so I’m thinking maybe it’s a local issue maybe with connection speed or something cached on your device?
- Ed
Thanks Ed. The dropdowns appear but sometimes will not click. I’ll buy the theme anyway. It looks great. Well done.
Hello,
The theme looks great! Just a quick question before I buy…
Is it possible to have the menu centred?
Thanks.
Hi Trine,
Yes I could provide some css so that you could do this, however where would you place the auxiliary icons that are on the right if you centered the menu?
- Ed
Hi Ed,
Hadn’t thought that far… Just wanted to check… Thank you very much for the quick reply!
Trine
You’re welcome. Let us know if you have any more questions
- Ed
Hi, I’m a photographer and I realize pictures with different aspect ratio. As example, I have panoramic images (3:1), Video images (16:9) and normal images (3:2). My question is: can I customize (via css, php, or anything else) widht and height of the portfolio containers to preserve the original images aspect? (without cropping or zooming or stretching them, and without messing up responsiveness?). Can I set differents widht and height for different category in my portfolio? It is very important to me (as others photographers, I think) to show my images in their right aspect ratio. Regarding the sliders, can I customize their height? For the same reason above, I need different sliders with different height. And just another crucial question: does the theme support self hosted video? What about the sublime video player plugin?
Hi Max,
The masonry portfolio allows you to use images of any size, which maintains the aspect ratio (only single image thumbnails/videos not sliders). Then for the detail page, it will not resize a single image if you have that as the detail type. We’re also implementing the wooslider plugin so that you can create unlimited sliders that have the auto height feature, which you can then use in the portfolio display.
It doesn’t have any support for it as standard, but the plugin should work without any issues. If you have any issues then we’ll be happy to help
- Ed
Just tested on the iPad again – already did that – and I can’t find that issue either. It might also depend on which iPad you use. Perhaps an older iPad might have the issue, but the latest retina iPad that I use doesn’t have it. Browsers are not the same for every iPad. The retina iPad has a different handling of scripts than previous iPads.
Thanks for testing this Tom, we’ll try testing with some different iPads.
