I have the same issue as the comment above. The carousel fails to display the items in Chrome and Safari (all I tested) on random refreshes. The items are in the DOM , but seem like they’re hidden off page somewhere.
I can reproduce the issue on your demo site as well. Please look into this and let me know if you can find a resolution. This is a larger issue as I don’t want visitors seeing my resume to see an empty portfolio carousel. This is the meat of the resume and right now this it’s appearing occasionally vegetarian.
Other than that minor issue, pretty decent files.
I’m still unable to replicate the issue, but I will figure it out and get it resolved.
Expect an update early next week. If you can’t wait that long then drop me an email and I’ll email you the updated files once they’re ready.
Oh and that is an awesome way of putting it:
“This is the meat of the resume and right now this it’s appearing occasionally vegetarian.”
Hoy can I allow accents ( like á , ó, í…) and other spanish characters in your template?
Sorry for the delay in replying to this.
There should be no issue with these characters, the font supports all additional characters, so I can’t see what issue you would be having.
Please drop me an email through my profile page with more details of the issue and I’ll see what I can do
I just bought it and have no idea how to use it. Please help me. How do I open it and put my text in so that I can print it?
I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I’m afraid this isn’t a print template. It is a web page, for you to host a virtual CV on the web.
To edit it you will need basic knowledge of HTML and CSS , the documentation will walk you through how to make changes.
Hope that helps.
no demo anymore?
Apologies, migrated all my sites to a new server and forgot about the demo’s for a couple of my themes!
Will have them back up later today.
Thanks for letting me know
got tired of waiting so i bought it lol
I tried to install it as a theme and it will not install. Any suggestions?
Sorry for the delay in replying. Are you still having issues?
Are you getting a ‘missing stylesheet’ error? If so, you’re uploading the whole zip file (including the PSD and documentation). You need to just upload the theme files.
Envato have a great walk-through on installing the theme here:
I zipped up just the folders with the theme files and attempted to upload through Wordpress (not via FTP) and got the following:
Unpacking the package…Installing the theme…The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.Theme install failed.
Should I do it via FTP?
Oops! Sorry – I didn’t notice the file name, I had assumed this was asked on one of my other files.
Unfortunately this isn’t a WordPress file, it is just a flat HTML file (hence being so much cheaper).
I am considering adding WP support though in the near future, if you’re prepared to wait a bit.
Sorry for any confusion.
I purchased your Pinstripe CSV theme on themeforest. Had a quick question I hope you can help with.
I love the theme, I want to create a pdf version of the html. However, my screen capture program will not automatically expand the work experience sections to that they show by default instead of being collapsed with the acordian java script. Is there a way to temporarily turn off the acordian / collapsing of the work experience sections so I can generate a pdf with each of the work experience sections expanded out by default?
Sorry for the delay in responding.
This can be done using the firebug extension for Firefox, and then just modifying the classes through that.
If the site is up somewhere, then I’d be happy to do it for you and email you the PDF (especially considering how long you’ve had to wait for support).
Let me know if you need anything else.
Hi phil, the site is http://briangillette.us/index.html but i really don’t want you to go through all that trouble. If you could point me in the right direction of the classes to update i can probably do it…I don’t know CSS or Javacript but can usually follow it enough to make minor changes.
