Hello Pirenko, HAPPY 2013 !!! I just playing with your theme, i bought it (yepee !) For now i have a question about the logo on the google maps, how did you do this ? thx !

Pirenko

Hi
This has nothing to do with the theme. You have to create a custom map on Google Maps and when adding the final marker there’s an option to place a link to where the image maker file is located.
Happy New Year too… Cheers :)

Hi there. I’m not sure what’s up, but every time I install the Pixia theme, my Wordpress crashes. By that, I mean I get an error which you can see here http://www.hardcoreluchador.com/home/

I’ve tried reinstalling WP several times and it seems to happen every time I install Pixia.

I haven’t noticed anyone else note this to happen so I wondering what you think.

Pirenko

Hi,
And what about when you activate another theme? If it works with other themes send me a private message with your WP credentials and I’ll try to see what’s going on. Also consider downloading again the theme package from here and repeat the upload process.
Happy 2013 :nerdy:

I just upgraded to 3.5 which is giving me this error “Error below:PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in/htdocs/wp-content/themes/pixia/inc/cleanup.php on line 415” . Any help would be great!

Pirenko

Humm… Disable all the plugins you might have and let me know if it works. This has something to do with the menu buttons, but never had any similar report. If disabling the plugins does not solve this issue please send me a private message with your WP login details if possible.
Cheers!

vectology

I got it to work (plug in issue) :)

Pirenko

Good ;)

see www.slingshotagency.com

Please help:)

Pirenko

Hi,
Your “contact ok” message has a ’ character. Please remove it (instead of “we’ll” try “we will”). Cheers!

yup.. worked!

Pirenko

Cool

any idea about the funny looking text as well?

Pirenko

Please select another font, because with the latest update on some configurations the “Body Font” was set to Acme. For your information the font used on the preview is “Open Sans”.
Cheers!

Pirenko,

Is there a way to disable the mobile site? It seems that when some computers access the site from a network (for example, in an office) the site redirects them to the mobile version rather than full version.

Site is Http://www.john-demaio.com

Thanks,

John

Pirenko

Here is displays fine… The mobile version will be shown only on smaller screen resolutions. You can disable it under Pixia Options>General Tab>Responsiveness (it’s the first option).
Cheers!

Thanks for the quick response!

I have turned off responsiveness but it’s still happening on my computer in the office which has a 26” 1920×1200 resolution. would it be possible for you to let me know where the mobile site is in the code and how to turn it off (or if you have any other suggestions as to why it’s happening).

Great theme, exactly what I wanted, love the simplicity and amazing customer support. Thanks for your efforts,

John

Pirenko

Try disabling all the plugins you might have and see if it works…

Actually, if I maximise the window it works, but if i have it a bit smaller it switches. Can I change the minimum resultion required before switching to the mobile site?

Thanks,

John

Pirenko

There’s something wrong an unusual with that machine. I’m also on 1920×1200 and I can scale the window perfectly without that switch. What browser are you using?

Send me a private message. I would like to have more info on this. Thanks!

Any way to remove the excerpts from the masonry blog post.

Pirenko

Add this Custom CSS code:
#blog_entries_masonr .masonr_text {display:none;}
Cheers :nerdy:

Hi, thanks for the nice theme, very satisfied with my purchase. It’s all coming along well, I just have one quick question…is there to have an “author’s” page that displays their posts like the search results do? with the post’s image header included?

thanks

Pirenko

Hi,
Here’s a tutorial on how to build a page similar to that: http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-create-a-wordpress-authors-page-template/
I can try to implement this in freelance regime (send me a private message if you’re eventually interested).
Thank you for purchasing

Hi Pirenko (again),

I am having a .htaccess file/500 error that I think might be Pixia theme related.

When Pixia is active, if I navigate to wordpress>settings>permalinks the whole site crashes, I get a 500 error and boilerplate(?) code is written to the .htaccess file. I don’t even have to change permalink setting, I just have to go to the settings page. Once crashed, I can’t even get to my wp-admin page. (I have to edit the .htaccess file, and remove the boilerplate stuff, before I can do anything).

If I deactivate Pixia and activate wordpress’s Twenty Twelve theme instead, I can navigate to the permalinks setting page and change options without any trouble.

Do you have any suggestions for me? Apologise if this is a straightforward thing, I am not a coder.

Thanks.

Pirenko

Hummm… That’s strange, but open the functions.php and remove line number 9 where the htaccess.php is included. This will stop the theme from editing the htaccess file.
Cheers :nerdy:

I think that did it. Thanks so much. Awesome!!!

Pirenko

Cool ;)

Hi,

Thanks for building this great theme. I need to check if its possible to add a slider to a page which uses the contact us template.

Thanks Etienne

Pirenko

You can add it using the slider shortcode inside the contact page content textfield. If you want to display it on another place send me a private message.
Thank you for your kind comments

Hi Pirenko,

With the Portfolio page where you would have individual projects, on the bottom of the it shows related project (which is great as it gives the viewers to continue on to something else!! rather than being at a dead-end). But on my current site (where I only have 2 projects as I am in process of adding contents at this moment), the related project comes up rather big. Unlike your sample pages where you have smaller grid of 3 projects. Now would mine change automatically once I have more projects or is there some setting that I am missing out on.

If you could get back to me on this, it would be much appreciated.

Thank You.

Pirenko

Hi,
Yes… Yours will change automatically when you have at least 3 related entries to show. If you dislike it for now, you can turn it off under Pixia Options>Portfolio tab>Show related posts
Cheers :nerdy:

Hi just bought the theme! Love it, although the default color is that orange color… Is there a easy way to change that theme color??

Default-user

Thank you for the quick response. That was obvious, sorry I got way too excited haha. But is there a way to remove the maps part in the contact template?

Default-user

Ahh sorry for the blasting of questions, if you prefer me to pm or email you please let me know! I may have more after this. How would I be able to add a widget to my posts where people can “share” via to social networks? or a facebook like button on my posts…

Pirenko

Hi,
To remove the map simply leave blank the Google Maps HTML code textfield under Pixia Options>Contact Tab.
To add those social sharing buttons you should use a plugin.
I don’t mind answering your questions as long as you don’t ask things just because you haven’t read the documentation.
Cheers :nerdy:

Pirenko,

Everything is working superbly especially the latest change.

I have on question though. Is there way to add some text or directions to users on the Portfolio page seen here http://www.lexingtonhappyhour.com let’s ave above the projects. I was thinking may the content section could added back to the template but didn’t want to do something that would conflict. Just really looking for a way to add some fairly basic directions on use. Thanks man, you do great work!

Pirenko

Send me a private message with a screenshot of what you need. Thanks!

perfectchoice

I figured out a workaround. Thanks!

Pirenko

Cool ;)

Hi there!

Is it possible to add space between the masonry style portfolio thumbnails so that they don’t sit flush to each other?

Best!

Pirenko

Hi,
I’ll have to make some changes to the code for that. Let me know if you buy the theme and I’ll implement them for you with no extra charge.
Cheers!

Hi,

This is a superb theme! One question though, how do I go about adding in a custom font to select from the Font selector screen?

Thanks Adam

Default-user

Id like to try and use googles new Roboto font.

Pirenko

Ok. I’ll include it on the next update. Cheers!

Thats brilliant thanks! Ill see if I can get it working, otherwise ill wait for the update. Thanks again for a great resource!

Hey there Pirenko! Thanks for your usual excellent support.I have an issue with how Pixia is interacting with Wordpress 3.5. When Pixia is activated, the ‘Add Media’ button does not work consistently. In fact 80% of the time, it does not work at all. I did a bit of research and it appears that overriding jQuery provided by Wordpress may cause this issue. I’m not very savvy with how this theme is written. Is this something you can fix? I’ve uninstalled all my plugins and uploaded the latest version (2.6) onto a fresh install to figure out what is wrong and it is related to this theme. Can you help? Thanks.

Pirenko

I haven’t heard this before. Please send me a private message and give me access to your WP Dashboard. It’s the only way I can help you…
Thanks

Hi Pirenko!

I’m really enjoying working with this theme. I’m using the blog masonry template to showcase my work, I just like the way it looks better but have three questions I’m hoping you can help with.

I’d like to change the loader from reading “No more posts to show” to “No more portfolio items to show” or something similar. Is there a custom script I can use in the pixia options panel?

How do I remove the date from individual blog posts?

Last is how to I change related blog posts to read “Related portfolio items”?

Thanks!

Pirenko

About the Custom Scripts: Yes. you can try and place the code there.
Google Maps/image usage: Try this code <img src="http://www.munto.net/pixia-v1/files/2012/09/pestola.jpg" />
See ya ;)

Hi Pirenko,

No luck, I’m still having the same issue where the code is gone after refresh. Once its gone it breaks the contact form as well. I’m putting it in the same field the code for the google map would go. Is this correct? Are you able to recreate the problem as well?

Alex

Pirenko

I just pasted this code on the preview and it worked perfectly. I removed it again, because I prefer the map. Send me a private message with your login credentials and I’ll try it myself.
Cheers!
