sorry I’ve already changed the link. it’s: http://elenigmadelafruta.com/filosofia
The problem stills there!
Thank you!
The easy way is to use a slider like on this page: http://www.munto.net/pixia-v1/unlimited-sliders/
You can use a slider with a single video… Check the documentation on how to add slides and also a slider using shortcodes.
If you want to use the code like you have it I see on the HTML code that you are using 800px wide and this is why it only has that width.
Cheers!
is it possible to fix that (slider that shows only the category pics)?
it doesn’t make much sense to have filters, if then, it display all the photos.
I want to buy the theme but if it’s not possible to have that, I can’t.
please let me know asap, I want to start my website by tomorrow!
thanks xo
Martina
Hi Martina,
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand what you mean. What slider are you talking about?
Thank you for your interest
Hello Pirenko,
you did a few updates – is it possible to know the changed files – I have lots of customizing…
Greetings, Chris
A lot of files were changed on this side too. The only way is that you backup your files, upload the theme and then copy/paste the needed pieces of code.
Cheers!
Hello and thank you for the information. Does it loose the settings and entries of the actual theme also?
Regards, Chris
No. The settings are always kept
Hi
I can’t seem to get the Masonry blog style to work. I create a blog page and set the template to ‘Blog -masonry’ but it is still showing as a classic blog.
Here is a link if you want to take a look : http://www.alquier.org/linfa/create/blog/
Am I missing something?
Edit: Nevermind…. something was wrong with the code of the page when I changed themes I guess. I deleted it and re-created it with that template. It is working now.
Edit 2: It seems there is still an issue here… after I re-created the page and masonry started working, it went right back to classic mode once I edited the page (changed the URL name and edited the category filter).
Thanks in advance
Hi, Go to Settings>Reading and verify these options:
- Your front page displays: A static page. And select there the page that you already created and want to show;
- Make sure that the field Posts Page stays with no selection (this is important);
Thanks!
Thanks! That was it! (The empty ‘posts’).
Hello! I will copy here to you our convo so everything will be more clear, I see you reply to so many people I can imagine it’s hard to remember WHO had WHICH problem
so, my initial message was: hello! I would like to purchase this template for my photography/design website. I would like to have my photography work divided in categories (fashion, editorial etc) using the masonry gallery but when I choose a category (filter) and then click for the detail view, there is a prev and next button in the corner left and it shows ALL photos of the gallery, not just the subcategory. Greetings Martina
you: Hummm. Yes, because the plugin that displays the images fetches all the ones that are loaded awhen the page loads. What you can do is create multiple pages like this (one for each category). Or you can use this masonry layout and when someone clicks it goes to a detail page.?I hope this was clear. Thanks!
me: is it possible to fix that and have a slider that shows only the category pics? it doesn’t make much sense to have filters, if then, it display all the photos. you: Hi Martina,?I’m sorry, but I don’t understand what you mean. What slider are you talking about??Thank you for your interest Martina
thanks, Martina.
Hello,
What you are saying can be done, but only as a paid customization. Send me a private message for a quote if you’re interested. May I suggest once again that you can create one page for each category and this way the “problem” won’t happen.
Cheers!
Hi, interested in purchasing but have a couple of questions. Can the masonry portfolio open to a page like the regular portfolio rather than a lightbox type item. Secondly I’ve noticed on your demo site that every time you click on an item in the portfolio the navigation closes so that the filters disappear. Is there an option to leave the filters showing by default
Thanks Marco
Hello,
Yes the masonry page can open like the portfolio.
About the filters thing: the filters are only showing when you have multiple categories being shown at the same time. If viewing a single page there’s nothing to filter…
What you can do if you want the categories on the left is add those categories to a parent portfolio button and in this case each time you click on one of those only the posts under that category will show. In this case you won’t have that filter/shuffle effect, because posts from each category are loaded at each time independently.
I hope this was clear
Thanks for the answer but my concern over the navigation is that on your preview site if you click on portfolio>illustration>any item. The portfolio sub headings close. If you want to look at another illustration you have to click portfolio>illustration again. What I’m looking for is when you click the item the portfolio sub headings stay open so that you can click the next one? Can this be done?
Hello again,
This can be achieved but the portfolio button won’t open any page, it will open a submen like the Blog button on the preview. Then you select the categories below and you are taken to a page that shows only the posts under that category (no filter function).
When you open a single post the menu can stay opened with the categories. A littel script needs to be added for this, but I have already tested it locally so if you buy the theme I’ll send it for you.
In this case all you have to do is pasting it inside the Custom Scripts textfield under Pixia Options>Custom Scripts Tab.
If this is still not clear send me a private message and I’ll try to make it clearer.
Cheers!
Hi again, I’m still a little confused as to whether I can get the basic functionality I’m looking for with this theme. I would like the sub menu to stay open until another menu item is clicked see
this shows the sub menu below projects. I want this sub menu to stay open even if I click on one of the grid items and only to close if I select home or about or contact etc. Can this be done? secondly What are the choices for the grid in the main part of the window. can I have a grid like your live preview portfolio or can I have masonry like your live preview masonry or can i have it like your live preview masonry blog grid or can I have a choice of any of them? Lastly, if its possible to have the grid like your masonry blog example is it possible to have it without the date, likes, comments showing?
Thanks again
Hi,
The submenus can stay all opened if you want. Always, not matter what page is currently opened, but once again you can’t have the filter/shuffle animation in this case.
As for the second question you can set up the pages like they are shown on the preview, but you can only hide the date and like button by adding some extra CSS to the theme options. I can tell you this code if you buy the theme.
Cheers!
thanks again, but my second question relates not to the pages but the grid in the main window and whether I’ll be able to display it using your answer from previous as 1. a square grid like live preview portfolio layout? 2. a masonry grid like live preview masonry layout? 3. a masonry grid like live preview blog layout (minus the date, comments, like)? 4. Any of the above?
thanks
You’ll be able to link to those child buttons whatever page type you want. I just want to make clear that all the submenus will be opened always according to what you said. For this You’ll just have to remove one line of code from a file or I can send you this file by email.
Cheers once again
child buttons? page type? I’m confused now? I’m trying to ask about the grid in the main window, perhaps my wording is wrong and you don’t understand me. Is it possible to try it out and get a refund if it doesn’t work. I don’t think this is the way it operates though.
Don’t count on any refunding here on Themeforest specially in this case that the theme is working perfectly. Send me a private message and we can chat on Skype for 5 minutes if you want to clarify things. Cheers!
Hi Pirenko, as you suggested, I sent you a private message.
best, Martina
Hi Pirenko, There’s a problem on mi site running your theme. I have the “pirenko social links” with minimal icons widget running on the footer. When I see the site in google Chrome the icons are ok in 2 rows, but not in Firefox that the icons are in vertical alignment and overlap the text in the menu. Any help? Thanks, Elia
here’s my website: http://www.fisheyestudio.biz
Hello,
Please update the theme, because this was fixed some days ago. Thank you for purchasing!
I’m still running the 2.3 version. I need to download it again and re-install? Thanks
Yes please. It was a small fix so I haven’t changed the theme version. Thanks!
Hi,
In your demo I see two kind of menu-links 1. Portfolio – click > the page reloads with the sublinks 2. Other Pages – click > the page does not reload and the sublinks appear immediatly.
Is this a setting you can set? Because I’m in favor of 2. It might be my ‘decision’ point in buying this theme.
(I’m on Chrome on a Mac)
Thanks!
Hi,
If you want the submenu to open instead of reloading just make your parent button link a hashtag – ”#”.
For the portfolio I did in another way, because I want to have that filter/shuffle effect, but as you can see it’s not mandatory.
Thank you for your interest
Can you show related projects on a blog page?
Awesome Theme!
Hi,
Currently the only thing that is shown are two navigation buttons for previous and next posts. Did you wanted it with images or is it good like I just said?
Thanks in advance!
Images Would be Best! Is this possible? Or do I need to hack it?
If you have some knowledge with coding all you have to is grab the code from the portfolio single page and place it on the blog single page. You’ll have to adjust the WP Query so that it fetches posts instead of portfolio items.
I can’t do it all for you, but I can assist you if you are having trouble. Thanks once again
Hi there. Any news on the next update that’ll include the Google+ social media added? Thanks a lot
This is not forgotten. I just haven’t updated the theme yet. It will be available in the next 10 days. Cheers!
Hi,
update is now available. Cheers
Maybe a small tutorial?
Just let me know if you buy the theme and I’ll add this on the next update. It will be availalble in the next 10 days.
Cheers!
You RULE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will buy it when the update is live.
It will have to be the other way… I’ll only implement this if you buy the theme. I’m sorry, but this has never been asked before and I’ll only make it available because of you.
Thanks anyway
Oh, OK, that will work also!
Hi Pirenko,
I have 2 bugs :
1. The red corner (where to click to make the footer appears) doesn’t have the + 2. The menu by small screen doesn’t have the pointer
I’m also interested in the suggestion to show images of related posts in the blog (cf. the thread with vectology).
Thank you for the help !
Vanessa
Hello,
Can you send me a link? Before that deactivate all the plugins and see if those issues subsist. You can send me a private message.
Cheers!
Hi Pirenko,
I am having issues with the sidebar area (menu) on the site I am working with. I currently have 4 widgets placed under the menu and for some reason when the browser window is smaller height wise, such as 1280×800 or 1024×600 resolution, the widgets near the bottom either get cut off or are not visible. You are also not able to scroll to that area to see them. Do you have any suggestions to fix this?
Hello,
Simply go to Pixia Options>Liquid Layour Options>Minimum content height and adjust it according to your needs.
Cheers
Is this a new setting? I may have to update the theme as I don’t see it anywhere. I will update and let you know if there are anymore issues. Thank you Pirenko.
This was added on one of the latest updates. Check the theme changelog for more info. Cheers!
Hi there,
In your documentation you mentioned that if we wanted to add a font to just let you know. Can you add this in?
http://www.google.com/webfonts/specimen/RokkittThanks!
Ok. Will be added on the nest update. Cheers!
Hi,
update is now available. Cheers
Hello, your theme is really nice and well done.
Is it possibile to make the website open with the lateral left sidebar hidden (so with a full screen slide), and make it appear only after a click on a button? Is it a feature you can develop easily?
Thank you so much.
Hi,
This is not very easy to implement. Will it be only on the fullscreen slider pages? This probably can only be implement as a paid customization so maybe it’s better for you to send me a private message. Cheers!
