Hi, thank you for your answer. I thought about something, as I am not using the social icons, could I set the logo aligned on the right and the nav aligned on the right? How can I do that? Thank you
Hi.
Go to css/style.css and find
header h1andheader navblocks. You need to changefloat: left;tofloat: right;.This will move both logo and navigation to the right.
For h1 you might also want to change margin to
0 -40px -20px 50pxand padding to0 80px 0 20px.Equiet
Sorry I must have explained it wrong. If I do this, the logo is going on the right and the nav is on the left. I want the logo on the left, the nav on the right, but the nav aligned on the right so that it moves when you resize the window. Is there a way to do this? Thank you
Oh, sorry. In that case, just change
float: left;tofloat: right;only forheader nav. You can also add something likemargin-right: 30px;so there is some spacing between navigation and edge of the screen.Hi! Nice theme
Full screen slider scroll all or only selected projects?
Hi.
Fullscreen slider is on all projects, but you can choose interval/transition/controls individually.

Hi, Im wondering if you can put a series of images within one project, or is only one image per project?
Hi.
I’m not sure what do you mean. You can add a series of images as a background for project.
If you mean multiple images in thumbnail, this feature is not available in Play.

Hi, I have some questions:
- Where is the filter on the portfolio site? (in your layered png there is one: All, Webdesign, .....)
- layered png? Can you please give us a normal psd file?
- Social Icons disappear in portrait mode (ipad). Why?
Thanks
P.S.: The documentation is a little poor.
Hi.
Portfolio has not been implemented in the end. It would cause many problems.
I am sorry, I don’t have a PSD file. Fireworks has quite poor PSD export.
I am hiding icons on smaller screens because of saving space. A header might not fit into the window and would break into 2 “lines”, which doesn’t look good.

HI,
I like your full-screen blog! But I have a question, I’m a photographer, so might need easier slider options for customers. When I go to Gallery/slider. Can I make the slider much smaller, with arrows or a slideshow? What happens when you add 30 images to a slider, how do you currently move to next set of images? And the actual image on the screen full-height? Also what happens with a portrait/vertical style image, right now it would not fit properly. (or be very small up and down). The images from Portfolio just don’t open up large enough, can they be made larger too? Can a slider with the images be added at the bottom? Can a slider at the bottom be added to the fullscreen slideshows? (I don’t need all the wording, so wouldn’t use the photos with next on the left). Thanks!!! Maggie
Hi Maggie.
I am not sure what do you mean. Standard gallery sliders (with thumbnails on the bottom) is designed to show a limited number of images (up to about 10). More images would result in bad experience. You can use Masonry gallery instead.
Photos on background are cropped depending on the window size so they can fill whole screen without distortion. Also top of the image is always overlayed by the header.
Images in the lightbox (Masonry gallery) can be much bigger, but they will never exceed the screen. Unfortunately thumbnails cannot be added in lightbox.

Hi,
this is a great template,
I am having 1 issue though, the images are getting cut off from top, any suggestions?
here is my demo link – http://dev.shadiservices.co.uk/photography/#
Hi.
Unfortunately this is a problem of CSS positioning. Images are stretched across the page, even underneath the header.
Hi, firstly great looking theme
Thanks
I am looking at changing the menu background colour but am having trouble locating it. Could you please help me? Thanks for your time.
Also the contact form doesn’t appear on my contact page
http://portraitsofyou.co.uk/Hi.
This doesn’t look like Play.
Did you post a correct link?
Thanks
I have purchased this them, not sure why it’s not coming up here?
Love this theme. Have few small issues though.. I am using the masonry as the homepage and when I re-size my browser to 1024×768 it cuts off my rollover text on the top tiles. The Live Preview here in Themeforest doesn’t display that way so I am confused? Also my site is going to have many pages so I want to put the main navigation into an include file. I am coding everything seemingly correct but the navigation won’t show up.. Any tips? Thanks!
Hi.
Play has responsive design, therefore it adapts to different resolutions. 1024px is actually a breakpoint when the page switches to mobile layout. You can change this in
@mediaqueries in style.css.Hmm… is there anywhere I can message you directly? I would like to send you screen shots of what I am looking at. Also, like I said I resized my window to 1024×786 while viewing the masonry from the live preview of this theme and it doesn’t look the same as when I resize it in my site. That’s shouldn’t be so, right? Thanks!
I am playing with the header h1.black rule in the css and it seems to be helping with the 1024×768 thing… Another question I have that I cant seem to find is how to change the black background behind the masonry. I did a search for #000 in the CSS and have removed all the questionable instances but the background is still black. Is that bc there is an absence of color? Which rule will change that? Lastly will you be able to advice on making the navigation an include file? Thanks so much in advance!
Hi Equiet, Is there a way to get this template working in Internet Explorer 8? Need to know ASAP so clients with old computers can view it. Thanks!
Hi. What problems are you having when using IE8?
Hi, this is our website: www.round6.com.au It loads then greys over, and freezes the browser. You can see the images in rows, but they are grey like when you hover over them. Hopefully you’ll see what I mean
This is certainly an unexpected behaviour. Unfortunately, I cannot test it in IE8 right now.
Does this happen in the demo? Perhaps there are too many gallery items – try removing a few and see if it helps.
ok thanks, I’ll check the demo and try removing some pictures. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks
Hi, I tried the demo in IE8 and it seems to have similar issues to our site, not exactly the same it did work a little better but not like it should. It froze my browser too the first couple of times I tried it. Would be really grateful if you can investigate. I haven’t tried reducing the number of photos yet, will try this soon and let you know. Thanks
Hi, I reduced the number of photos on the site, and the browser didn’t freeze but it still greys over all the pictures like when you hover over them. And when you click the pictures it takes you to a new tab with the image, rather than bringing up the slideshow thing. Any ideas? I really need a solution soon because clients will be looking us up. Thanks
Also the demo greys over the pictures on the home page like when you hover over them
IE8 doesn’t support opacity property. It uses it’s own property with different syntax. By default, the overlay is set to
opacity: 0;(i.e. transparent) and on hover it changes toopacity: 1;(i.e. visible). Since IE8 doesn’t support this, it is always visible. You need to use IE8-specific property everywhere, where
Find and change all lines with to and toopacityis defined in style.css.Ok that’s nearly working like it should… that fixes the greyed over problem. Now when I hover over images the image just goes black, and doesn’t show the + symbol. Also when I click the image it opens the full image in a new page, it doesn’t bring up the slideshow box. Is there a way to get this working? the page also says it has errors. Thanks for your help
hmm the loading can be very buggy too still, saying errors on page and takes forever to do anything, kind of freezes. It’s working in IE9 just not 8
Is your site online? Is there a way I could take a look?
If lightbox is not showing up, there is a problem with JavaScript. It might be also possible that some JavaScript error causes poor performance in IE8.
yep the address is www.round6.com.au thanks
What exactly do you mean by freezing the browser? Does browser become unresponsive?
Masonry script (which lays out images nicely) is triggered only after all images has been loaded. That’s why you need to wait before images rearrange so there are no gaps. You can use something like infinity scroll (http://masonry.desandro.com/demos/infinite-scroll.html) to load images by chunks. This should speed the site up.
hi equiet, yea can’t click the browser and it looks like it gets stuck flicking between loading a couple photos and has an error or something. basically i have to go ctrl-alt-esc to close the browser. I can’t work it out, might give it to someone to look at but would really appreciate if ur able to test it in ie8. happy to send u the page code to look at…
couple other things, if i go to one of the other pages first like the contact page it works, then i click the home page, it loads fine, except that it doesnt do the slideshow when you click the pictures, it opens the picture in a new page
There is probably some JavaScript error that prevents pictures from loading into a slideshow. You can check for this in the error console of a browser.
I’m sorry, I won’t be able to make IE8 testing on your page anytime soon.
ok don’t worry, i’ll find someone to fix it for us
Hi, I tried to put a video with the masonry template, but it wouldn’t work. The video was uploaded on Vimeo and on Youtube. How can I make it work? Thank you
Hi.
Please make sure you are using a correct “embed” URL. This is different from a standard URL for viewing the video in the browser.
Should I use the embed code with iFrame etc?
No, just the URL. It should be like this:
http://www.youtube.com/embed/VIDEO_IDAnd also, can I make the window where the video is playing a bit bigger? On your demo site, It seems that the video disappears if user clicks for a bigger video (“enlarge” button on youtube file) maybe my video is too big? (720)
Videos are in slideshow, too. Therefore clicking the left/right side moves you to previous/next image.
You can disable this, though. There is a
rel="gallery"tag for every<a></a>element. If you remove this attribute from the video link, you will be able to click on the video buttons. It works! i used the code used for the iframe and removed the rel=”gallery”, it works fine now. Thanks!
Hi equiet, i want buy your wonderful template, i will host it on a aruba windows server. It will automatically change when i use “tablet” and “phone” or i must do something strange?????marco
Hi.
Play adapts automatically to the device. No configuration is needed.
