Hello mimo, Theme looks amazing and I am currently having a few issues. I would like to have the header banner to be transparient but the body of the content to be f1f1f1. Where would I insert custom css to make this change. I also am having problems with the force tab feature. I am trying to replicate how the top navigation is left aligned and the social media icons are right aligned. it keeps putting the social media underneath navigation.

I managed to figure out the alignment issue by using the widget. my facebook twitter icons seem to not link to facebook.com/page. The browser is opening mydomain.com/facebook.com/mypage or mydomain.com/pagename.

Hi, it has been a change in the newswall widget, you need now to include Id’s of categories to show(instead of the slugs as it was). this has been just to improve performance and the option to hide empty categories and more …

yes you can add youtube videos with a shortcode in posts and pages, not in newswall(the widget in homepage). It hasn’t got a vimeo native shortcode but you can install a plugin and use it.
I am thinking to include a vimeo shortcode in next updates. let me work in it.

What about having videos on the home page? I need to insert them (one or two) for the kind of crowd I will advertise for. Is it possible to insert them before the part of the Widget starts after the header? Like an additional area?

this cannot be done with shrortcodes because they are de-activated(through options panel) in frontpage for the Newswall widget to work properly with posts. It could be done without mixing it with Newswall widget.

Hi Mimo, Plus is by far one of the best works I have seen so far on Wordpress themes. Congratulations on that. On a curious note, I could not figure out what a ‘text only’ post would look like on the home page, since almost all the posts in the live preview seem to have an image associated with them.

The Newswaal widget(the one you see in home page) is intended to be used with images(at least a featured image) so i will have to test it without any image. It would work correctly i think, but i don’t know how it would affect design.
Maybe this could be a new feature i could include in next updates.

First mimo I want to tell you, that you have created a great theme, I appreciate it very much. It is always moving and calls a lot of attention, very nice, the only thing that reproved it, therefore that I might need to look for another one is, that it seems that you didn’t plan to insert Videos in the “Newswall-widget”. Maybe it might be possible to take the pictures as you have them and make a pop-up that it opens from the picture the video directly on the side. For this Site creation that I’ll be doing, I’ll need to look for another solution, but I am sure, that if you would change this, I’d buy it further…

Very nice news… Can you give me a forecast for the changes and the new update? If you can do it in time, I am thinking about using your theme for my project, but I would need to know till when, because I would prefere to use yours. If you can’t give me more or less a date, i’ll need to take another one… My only point that I did’t buy yours, was the question of video support. If you will put vimeo in it, I gonna use vimeo first for video upload, if you can include YouTube, is it possible to update the template theme and continue with the same information included with youtube?

I am more or less new in this branch. very nice, thats how I’ll be doing it. It would be nice if you could put in the demo a picture and when you click on that picture it opens a pop-up with the video, because thats what I am looking for, if this would be possible. If you want to, you can also delete our conversation and just mention that the integration is working now, when you did that, for me thats no problem.

sorry, but because of my limited english I’m not sure if I understood you right. Did you want to say, that you want to insert Videos in the lower part, where you have the images that you can scroule to the left and right (slide) or are you talking about your Newswall where when you pass over an image, the images showes the information. What I need to function is that I can insert one or maybee up to 3 videos in the upper part, that if you would enter the webside, those would be the first ones that you would see, because the videos shall be function to call atention. Hi, to have a theme like the demo you need to import sample data with Wordpress Importer, also Import Gantry Options with gantry Import export Plugin. Both files to import in ‘sample data’ folder.
To create your own site from scratch you can follow step by step video at www.mimothemes.com
Also in documentation you have 2 images explaining how to publish widgets in default override(like menu, responsive menu, copyright, logo…etc) and in home override, like Newswall widget.

Hey there. Great theme! BUT there is a big problem. By trying to install it via “upload” function of wordpress i got an error message so i tryed to get it via “FTP” done. The Theme is now on the Dashboard -> Themes. If i try to start the “Live Preview” i got a new error message: Fatal error: Call to a member function displayHead() on a non-object in /mnt/webk/e1/96/52739696/htdocs/WordPress_03/wp-content/themes/mimo_plus/index.php on line 21”...... Can you pleas help me? I´m using the lates Wordpress System! Thanks a lot and sorry for my bad grammar (i´m german)
Hi, you need to install the Gantry Framework Plugin after installing the theme. It is used for the theme to work.

I need to add videos in the front page, correct me if I am mistaken, but you said the video is already working and that you will demonstrate it in the Demo page, Did I get it right? Just a bit of feedback for the next updates that you could add: - specific video posts - the theme to not be so dependant on size of images - in the share bar of a post have the ability to have ‘google plus’ - quicker loading time/animation

Hi, I am really interested in buying your theme. Just have a few questions before I decide whether or not to buy. I love how the site looks on a computer, however my experiences on mobile devices have not been as successful. I was hoping that the ios version/android version would look like the pictures on the themes homepage – The tiles becoming bigger along with the text and filling the screen of the mobile device. However, when i view the demo site on an iphone, the site appears exactly as it does on a computer, meaning that the tiles are all squashed into the screen, making the small and hard to read without zooming in to the page.
Is there a fix for this/something you are aware of?

I have just realised that once you remove the frame on the demo site, the theme fits nicely on ios and android devices. My next question is regarding the video posts. My site is a music blog that posts videos of live sessions. If i was to swap the pictures you have posted on the demo site, for videos, how do the videos play? Would it play in the same fashion the pictures are displayed? I do not want the tiles to link to another page. I would love for the videos to play there and then on the page the user is on. Is this possible?

Hi there, Great theme ! I was wondering how the +Plus theme will react when activated on an already populated site that currently has a few thousand posts (with off course a different theme running at this time). Could you give some feedback on that please ? Thanks !
Well i think it depends on the layout. A homepage with a thousand post wil load slow in any theme i think, if you paginate it and have in frontpage only 20 post it will run perfect.
In version 1.4 i added the infinite scroll feature to the newswall widget(the one you see in frontpage) so it loads the post when you scroll, if you paginate 20, it loads 20 new post each time you get the end of the page. I think this is perfect feature for sites with lot of posts.

Hi, please re-upload, maybe a bad upload? In new versions, since 1.3, the newswall widget reads categories fron ids, not from cat slugs, so maybe this is one reason, take a look to your newswall configuration
Have you got any plugins installed? Mybe de-activating them to see if this is the issue is a good idea.
