great theme, 1 thing lets it down, there are loads of themes with exactly the same issue, and that is there is no css alternative to the menu, in result, if anyone with javascript turned off hits on the website they cannot navigate any drop down menu options.

you are right, it is the function of modern websites to have javascript, but its equally important, if not more important to consider accessibility, adding a css alternative when javascript is switched off will make it more accessible for those that choose not to have javascript turned on for security purposes.

Hey great theme!! 2 quick questions.
1. Can the footer be set to stay open? 2. Is this using lightbox and can it support an ifame in the lightbox? (to a web site).
I know some sites have lightbox of images, video, elements but doesnt always support the insertion of a web page.

I have a similar question to jprood, i don’t see any embedded videos from youtube or vimeo in the portfolio items, if you add them, will they popout in a lightbox (or whatever is used for images) or will they play within their image?

this is really nice! My only problem is that I have a mixture of vertical as well as horizontal photos (portrait and landscape). The photos you’ve used on your demo seems to be landscape photos.
1. Can I set the homepage slider to only show the horizontal (landscape) photos.
2. If I use a vertical photo as the main photo on my blog post, will the width of the posted photo be the same as the width of the horizontal photo, making it a huge photo?
3. What is the treatment for portait photos in the portfolio thumbnail?
4. The magnify button on the photos is quite small to start with until the expand button is pressed. Is there a way to make it the expanded version right from the beginning?

1) Image will be resized for default slider width and height (landscape photo is centered, cutting top and bottom parts). I can help you with slider height if necessary.
2) Width for portfolio and blog images is the same.
3) As I wrote (#1) there is no problem to set height for portfolio thumbnails by modifiing some files.

So i purchased this theme, so far so good, pretty straight forward, many options, except I’m not finding how to add the Header Title and Header Text (big and small text to the right of the logo) if you set the template to Home. I even tried importing demo data, still not seeing it.

A few questions:
1) Is it possible to make each entire home page slider image link to a blog post or page?
2) On the portfolio page, is it possible to make it so when you click anywhere on the red overlay, it links to that portfolio item?
3) Is it possible to display blog posts the same way as the portfolio index page?
Ideally, I’d like the “portfolio” index page to be an index of blog posts that I put in a “portfolio” category. This will keep me from needing to post work twice (once on the blog for readers, and once on the portfolio). Is there any way to make this happen?

To clarify, I (like many/most photographers) use my blog as my portfolio. If I could have my blog post featured images display the same way the portfolio items display on the home page and portfolio index page, I could avoid using the portfolio portion of Wordpress entirely.
I have a bit of PHP /CSS experience. Let’s try to figure out the full overlay linking thing I mentioned in question 2.
You mentioned it’s not possible to disable lightbox. Is it possible to just remove the link on the overlay?
You can use blog as portfolio, but you can use latest blog posts module without thumbs on the homepage.
Yes, you can remove the links in the overlay and set link for the whole overlay. It is not a big problem if you know php a little

Looking a little more closely, I’d actually love to be able to use ALL of the portfolio functions (displaying on the home page, 2-column index) for blog posts in a specific category, instead. How difficult would it be to make this happen?
Also, is it possible to totally disable the lightbox function? I’d love to check out the theme options panel if there is a way to make it happen.

i vote for video in the portfolio links also. And video if the slider on the homepage can handle similar to an everything slider. But mostly video for lightbox in the portfolio. And iframe in the lightbox would be magical
