To the title. it should say Blog | xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Instead there’s nothing. I’ve noticed that if I make the home page the blog page (in settings) when I go to the blog page, the title and headline show, but if I make the home page a static page (which is what I want), the title and headline disappear off the blog page.

Just to be clear, the blog page you’re using is a category page, correct (i.e. not a page you created from the “add new page” link)?

Be sure that you aren’t selecting a posts page on the “reading settings” page drop down menu. You do not need to select a post page there. Just use the static home page drop down if you choose to do so.

To control the text for categories, you edit the description field on the “categories” page (under the “posts” menu).

To add a category link to the menu, navigate to the “menus” page and add the “blog” category (not page) link on the bottom left to the menu.

Hi Chris,

I’ve been through the comments, help files and video tutorials. Didnt realize until after purchase that Option Tree requires PHP5 so I actually switch web host providers (twice) in order to make sure I had all my ducks in a row. I’m using Wordpress 3.2, my webhost uses PHP5 , the Option Tree is the latest version and yet I cannot get the logo to show up. Plus the Option Tree, unlike in your vid tutorial, doesn’t have a place to import a browsed xml file or to paste in the sample data.

I’ve been through the MOLITOR forums to no avail. I’ve been trouble-shooting this issue for three days and now I’m coming to you to get me going.

Sorry you’re having trouble. Since the video was made, OptionTree had some updates that allowed the demo settings to be added via the theme files. So you don’t need to worry about importing anymore.

This theme uses the PHP function “getimagesize()” to automatically generate the height and width of your logo. If you can’t get your logo to display on the home page, this means that your server configuration is blocking external file access, which in consequence blocks this function from working correctly.

allow_url_fopen should be ON in PHP configuration (php.ini). You may not have access to edit this file and it could also be that your hosting company has restricted changing the allow_url_fopen value. In this case, you should refer to them and ask them to set the value of allow_url_fopen to ON.

If you continue to have trouble…

You’ll need to contact your hosting provider as this is not a theme issue and has to do with the way your hosting/server is configured (PHP is a server-side language). Let them know you’re trying to use the “getimagesize()” PHP function.

More information about this function is available here:

What is wrong with my theme? Every time I try to activate the option tree plugin the site breaks. Could you take a look? The URL is I get a 500 internal server error. What’s weird is that it was working one minute then it just stopped.

If you email me I can send you the user/pass.

The link you provided doesn’t seem to link to this theme.

Additionally, this doesn’t appear to be a theme-related issue as you’re getting a 500 internal server error, which has to do with your hosting/server configuration. Also, the issue you have is installing a plugin, which isn’t something the theme has control over either.

Either way, I recommend contacting your host so they can troubleshoot the error you’re receiving.

Thanks for the quick response. I ended up uninstalling the WP from my Godaddy server and re installing. It works great now.

How did you create your contact form?

Glad it’s working ok now.

I recommend using the “Contact Form 7” plugin. There’s a link to it in the help file if you have trouble locating it.

i knew i saw it somewhere when i 1st bought this theme. i can’t seem to find info on removing comments all together from posts…how do i go about achieving this?

How can I make the dual slider faster?

The slider controls are located in the “footer.php” file under ”//SLIDER STUFF ”

The numbers are in milliseconds. So, for example, 10000 = 10 seconds and 5000 = 5 seconds.

OptionTree is no longer available. I can’t get the theme to work with it. Help! Do you have another version on the web available? I cannot find it anywhere.

It looks like they moved OptionTree here:

I’m with madscientist013. Just bought, can’t use b/c OptionTree is no longer available… Help!

Great Theme, could you assist with Buddy Press Integration?

I’m following these instructions:

I need to alter these buddypress pages:

...So that each of these pages do not overlap the sidebar on this theme. Please Help.

Thanks very much,

Thanks for purchasing!

For customizations like this, please submit a request here:

I cannot get certain plugins to work correctly. My gravity forms don’t work nor do my event calendars work.

Couple things…

1. I don’t see that you purchased this theme. I only provide support if I can verify you purchased the theme.

2. I do not provide support for plugins. If you encounter plugin issues, your best bet is to contact the developer of the plugin.

Hello, I love your theme. I have a fairly simple question. I am trying to link my home button to the main (home page) of the site…Is this done automatically?

I figured it out Chris Thanks.

Great theme! This is the second of yours that I have purchased. I noticed the theme was supposed to come with a user manual. I checked the folders that came in the zip file and all I see is the help pdf. Is that the manual or is there another one?

Thanks for your support Josh!

The help.pdf file is indeed the user manual. If you have questions that aren’t addressed in the help file, please feel free to visit my support forums here:

How can I make the autoplay default to OFF on the NIVO slider.

I only have one video for now and don’t need it to play.

Type of slider is Dual and number of items is 1.

Thanks Karen

Hi there,

One more thing. The top navigation is behind the slider in IE 8 and 9.

Notice how the drop downs are behind the slider and unable to see then all of them. In Firefox it is fine.

Yes, when I look at your demo

it is fine. Could it be a Wordpress upgrade? A css style?

Thanks Karen

Sorry, I answered my own question.

To turn the auto play off for the slider, it is in the footer.php changed true to false…............

autoDelay: 10000,

I still need a solution to this:

An IE problem…...........

Hi Karen,

This appears to be a z-index related issue that can be caused from customizations to the CSS file and/or plugins that may add CSS styling.

Hope that helps!

Hi, wonderful theme!

There’s a way to change language? (localization)

Thank you so much

Hi there,

This theme is not currently localized, but I will be revisiting soon for an update :-)

Hi there,

Just last week my logo in the header area disappeared. A few weeks prior to that, I had re-adjusted the logo dimensions using the Styesheet editor and it was perfectly fine. I have since attempted to make some changes to try and address the issue (which i’ve detailed below) but to no avail.

- I deleted and re-installed the theme thus re-setting any previous changes to the Stylesheet. - Using ‘Option Tree’ I Re-loaded XML , Created a new layout, and reset options, no luck there. - I Deleted and re-uploaded my logo. - Attempted to try other images but again, the logo area in both the header and footer would not read my upload. - The ‘Option Tree’ logo area is recognizing the fact i’ve uploaded a logo and the image appears in ‘Option Tree’ but as I said, i’m having no luck in getting the logo to appear on the website.

I hope you can help. Unfortunately, because I don’t know when exactly it happened, I have no way of tracing my mistake.

PS. This is the only problem that iv’e had to date. The theme is fantastic!

Thank You.

Hi there,

Let me know if this video helps:

Hi Chris just bought the impressive looking politico theme. Uploaded as instructed also put in option tree. But when I went to my site I saw the following: Warning: include(slider.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/surfpowe/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/wppolitico/header.php on line 88 But the files and directory are there? Can you please help?

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘slider.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php52/pear’) in /home/surfpowe/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/wppolitico/header.php on line 88

Thanks for purchasing!

Please be sure to fill out the necessary fields in the OptionTree panel after installing.
