Bing tools shows this error message:
............................................................
High Severity Issue[Collapse -]
There are multiple h1 tags on the page.
Error:
h1 id=”logo” a href=”http://perfectionpluspainting.com”>Perfection Plus Painting /a /h1
Recommended Action: Remove redundant h1 tags from the page source, so that only one h1 tag exists.
............................................................
How can i remove the redundant h1 tags from the page source?
Hm, the theme is coded in HTML5. The specs state that even H1 elements are now context based. That means every atricle can have an H1. That’s how the WordPress default themes TwentyTwelve etc are coded too. Of course you can edit the source code if you like, but search engines should handle it fine. Maybe the Bing Tools are not up to date.
Thanks for the follow up. I assumed it was a nonsense error but i wanted to make sure.
FYI i removed the greater than less than symbols from the post above because it formatted everything to header size lol.
hi, i dont wanna see featured portfolio image in the page but automatically it comes. How can i remove featured image in the portfolio page?
If you imported the demo content, please edit the “Front Page” under “Pages” and delete the first shortcode (“entries”).
Hello, I’d put my logo above my menu, do you have a simple solution? I have tested some test but it is complicated …
thank you
You’d have to modify the CSS code in the “style.css”. The logo is positioned absolute, so you’d probably have to make the header higher and then tell the menu to sit on the bottom while the logo floats above. You can send me a mail to support[at]ruventhemes.com regarding customization work.
Ah yes! everything works fine! I did not think the function abolute thank you very much!
Hello Mister R:
Intriguing theme. Well done. 2 quick (perhaps
things:
1. I would like to start all over again. I know I can re-install, but you mention that settings will remain. What is the best way to do a complete fresh ‘install’ of Polyon?
2. Currently (I wish I could send you a snip!) the polyon logo is cut off in half. It is width not height. I have banged the thing with a rock (myself also), but I cannot find the appropriate setting anywhere to get your logo back (let alone add my own…).
Appreciate your work.
David
Hi Mister D,
1. If you really wanna start over, just delete the database and the whole WordPress installation folder on your server and set it up new. If you just wanna keep the posts and pages and nothing else, use the WordPress export feature (you’ll get an XML file), follow the steps above and then import the XML file back into your fresh WordPress installation.
2. Can you send me a link to your site, so I can check it out? I’ll send you back some CSS code that should solve the problem
Best regards, Ruven
I get a “Home” Page and a “Front Page” Page. They both have the same functionality and i need to deleted one of them. How?
You should create a custom menu: http://docs.ruventhemes.com/arcadia/#content
How do I upload the dummy content? I’ve already installed the theme via wordpress but there is no dummy content. Thx.

That is the link of the code which i paste. http://demos.ruventhemes.com/polyon/shortcodes/galleries/Hi,
What box are do you mean? Can you send me a link to your site or a screenshot, so I can check it out?
Please also make sure that the visual editor doesn’t copy the style from the demo page only paste in the pure text. When you expand the toolbar there is actually a button to remove formatting.

Hello,
I have the same issue that one of the gentlemen above has, and you emailed him the fix, and he said it worked. There’s a problem with the blog, the numbers to continue to other pages do not appear, here is the link where the pagination is not showing – http://goo.gl/fLMTC
Thank you so much for your help,
Please update to the newest version of Polyon: http://docs.ruventhemes.com/polyon/#updating
Thank you very much. When I put in my themeforest name and API key I get Username and/or API Key invalid. I’m using case sensitive lettering, so it’s not that. Have you seen this before?
Never mind. I just generated another API key and that one worked. Many thanks again. All the best! I appreciate your fast response.
Actually, I’m back again. When I go to upgrade using the toolkit, I see a note that says I’m going to lose all my customizations. I just need to get the pagination for the blog back right now. Do you happen to have a file or piece of code to just get that back for the time being? I’m trying to get it back in place before the client sees that it’s missing. Many many thanks for your assistance…
By “customizations” they mean that you lose changes that you’ve made in the themes original files and not your theme settings that you made through the admin panel (they are saved in the database). So as long as you didn’t customized the files, everything should go fine.
If you like you can make a backup of your files and an export of your database before the update to be save
Unfortunately, I customized the files. I have a full backup ready to go, but it’s 3am here right now so I’m trying to end my ‘day’, and get the client’s page navigation back before I shut down.
Given that there’s customizations to the original files, is there a way to cut and paste just the pagination code out for me to email to me? I’ll have to put the full update off to later in the week when I can move the site to a test server and see what the new upgrade is actually going to change. Fingers crossed! = )
Yes, there is a way
1. In your all your theme templates, search for the occurrence of “wp_reset_query();”.
2. If you find one, look for the function “rvn_get_paginator();”. It should usually be one line below.
3. Now switch both functions, so that “rvn_get_paginator();” comes before “wp_reset_query();”.
Best regards, Ruven
Awesome…works like a charm. You are wonderful and I love your template. Looking forward to buying my 3rd one from you soon. = ) All the best…
Hi, Beautiful theme… thanks! I’m having the same problem as a few other people here though regarding the logo not displaying. Can you assist please?
Can you send me a link to your site, so I can check it out?
Emailed to you yesterday… thanks.
It’s OK. I figured it out (thanks to the message from “itemm” above). I changed ‘position: absolute’ to ‘position: relative’ in the css. Problem solved.
Hi, The theme changes from ‘boxed-layout-with-margins’ to ‘boxed-layout’ when viewed at a resolution of 1024×768. Can you please tell me how to stop the theme doing this, as I have a logo that is above the menu. When it’s viewed on a low resolution monitor the logo (and top margin) disappears. Your own demo site does the same thing. Thanks, Anita
Hi Anita,
Sorry for my late reply. Please open the file “Polyon/lib/frontend/javascripts/script.js” and delete or out-comment line 11 to prevent the theme from doing this.
Thanks for your solution – that fixed it.
I am trying to change the position of the Featured Image Slider on my home page relative to a background that I’ve uploaded which is not quite centered top to bottom. Is there CSS code that I can use to shift the slider relative to the size of its content box, and get rid of the border or at least change it to black? The intended effect is to make the Slider look like it is the UI of a video editing software. YOu can see what I am doing here http://lauracreecy.com/
The neon green peeking out is what I set the Featured Content Bkgd to so I could see how it was working in relation to changing the slider size and uploaded background image.
Sorry, I can only cover support for this theme as it is. Customization work is done through my partner: https://www.tweaky.com/?invite=6517f28e7d20ac4f
hi , i wanna to show portfolio title at middle of the page.Is that possible to change this code or how?
$show_title = $options[‘rvn_portfolio-show-title_’.$i];
In order to do this you’d have to change the CSS in the “style.css” of the theme. If you need help with the customization, please take a look at these guys: https://www.tweaky.com/?invite=6517f28e7d20ac4f
Contact form is not working .I paste it as html .Why?
Please don’t paste any HTML code into your content, but use the contact form shortcode to have it work: http://docs.ruventhemes.com/polyon/#sc
Same thing happened. It does not make any difference…
Could you create an admin account for the email support[at]ruventhemes.com and send me a mail with the login data and short summary of the problem within this email, so I can investigate it?
Hi, I would like to change the title of every page in my website. Is there a simple way to do this? and do you have any suggestions to make the website more visible on google?
Hi, you just have to go through each page and rename the title. Polyon is SEO optimized, but I recommend using a SEO plugin like this one http://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/ for the best outcome.
Hi
How can i add more sliders option to my theme i am not happy with the slider and i want to add a different one is it possible?
Also i want to add a list of client in the bottom of the page is there a plugin i can add.
Hi, unfortunately you can only chose between the build-in sliders (“Theme Options > Front Page”) . Adding another one would require some customization work. These guys here should be able to do that: https://www.tweaky.com/?invite=6517f28e7d20ac4f
The easiest solution for a client list would be a picture (unless you need something more interactive) that you insert into the content. I don’t know of any plugins for this, but Google should be of help.
Hi, (site: www.blomeley.com) Recent Fix: My Polyon theme recently stopped showing the Portfolio items that were listed on some pages that presented demos of our work ‘Our Work’ pages and ‘News’ page. This was fixed by one of our tech guys a few weeks ago. NEW Problem: However, since that ‘fix’ the Text in the Main Menu at the top of the front page and site has shifted down to the bottom of the frame of the menu button (please forgive me if I am using the wrong terminology as I am just learning how to do this web site building). How do I fix this? Thanks Ed
Hi Ed,
Since I don’t know what code was used to fix the previous issue I can’t detect the current error. I recommend to reverse the fix and to just update Polyon to the newest version, because I already took care of the portfolio bug (it was connected to the new WP version 3.5). Here are the update instructions: http://docs.ruventhemes.com/polyon/#updating
Best regards, Ruven
Thanks Ruven. I will give it a shot.
Thanks for the theme Ruven, I’m using it for my very first WordPress site and I’m glad I went with your theme.
One question though, I’m trying to set up the slider, and I followed the instructions in documentation D3. Still – I don’t see any slider on the front page, even though I’ve added 3 images as featured items. Any idea why?
Thanks,
NC

Thanks for the response Ruven – I talked to one of my friends who’s a little more familiar with WP themes – this is what he did to fix it:
“I figured it out. You have to have a “home” page which I added under menus. Then when you select your “front page” it displays it under the slider on the home page. you can then uncheck “front page” as one of the menus.”
Thanks again.
NC
I’m glad you guys figured it out. Let me know if you have more questions
Ruven, I’ve upgraded 1.6 and still (since 1.2), using “Heading Fonts QuickPicker” does not change the heading fonts. Will this ever get fixed?
I’ll check the code and release an update once the issue is fixed.
