Popular questions for this item

I’ve installed the theme, but it’s not working. When saving to Tumblr I only get a blank page with no formatting. What can I do?

To avoid this problem you should use a plain text editor to open the .html or .txt theme file and copy all its content.

Some text editors try to parse the HTML content that the theme file contains and end up making a mess of the code.

When pasting the theme, it should look like this (partial image):

The theme has to start with <!doctype html>.

Can I use square thumbnails instead of round?

Yes, there’s an option for Round Thumbnails that you can deselect and have square thumbnails.

As round thumbnails are achieved using CSS3 border-radius property, the thumbnails only look like this in modern browsers (browsers supporting the border-radius property like Chrome, Safari and Firefox). It’s yet poorly supported in IE9.

Can I choose a different font for logo and titles?

Sure. As this theme supports Google WebFonts you have hundreds of free fonts to choose from. In the description file you’ll find an how-to explanation to use any font of your choice.

What social network icons are there available to use in this theme?

You can use the following social network icons / links:

  • Dribbble
  • Flickr
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • Tumblr
  • YouTube
  • Stumbleupon
  • DeviantART
  • Blogger
  • WordPress
  • PayPal
  • MySpace

I will add other in future revisions of this theme if requested.

Can I switch off infinite scrolling for the thumbnails page?

Yes. Infinite scrolling is an option that can be switched off in the ‘Customize Appearance’ panel of the theme. When off, the thumbnails page will have pagination (previous/next links) to see the remaining thumbnails.

How can I remove the permalink from the inner pages?

To remove the permalink in the pages, you just need to delete this bit of code:

Just make find of this part:

<!--permalink--><li><strong>{lang:Permalink}:</strong> <a href="{ShortURL}">{ShortURL}</a></li><!--/permalink-->

Don’t forget to save to make the changes active.

Opening a file in TextEdit (Mac)

When opening a theme file (.html or .txt) in TextEdit you need to do one of the following:

Option 1: 1. When opening the file check the box on the bottom of the dialog window that says ‘ignore rich text commands’

Option 2: Open the app preferences first, then choose ‘Pain Text’ as the default type for opening a new file (then restart the app and open the file)

If all works out fine, when opening the theme, the first line you should see will start with <!doctype html>
