Well, can I show the Social Media Buttons directly in the about page without clicking on “follow” first? Thanks!

Just put the social links HTML code in the Member bio field. You have to delete the “Follow” lines in about.php also. Delete or comment out lines:

<p><a href="#" class="open-modal" rel="follow-member'.$i.'">Follow '.$team_member_name.'</a></p>

<p class="tright"><a href="#" class="open-modal" rel="follow-member'.$i.'">Follow '.$team_member_name.'</a></p>

Thank you very much for your patience and help. That worked!

Hi again, can I change the tags about, share and website about the portfolio? I mean can I change the target and can I also rename the words? thanks! Liane

Yes, just go to single-portfolio.php. Search and change those words to your preference, but don’t change words inside the HTML tags.

Great theme! Simple, amazing… just what I need! Worth all the money!

Thank you so much! I am glad it worked out for you.

Hello, I have a pre-sale question. Is it possible to make a portfolio page like: http://themes.seench.com/portrait/portfolio/173/ have a gallery or gallery effect where you can move images using left or right arrow like: http://themes.seench.com/portrait/gallery/ instead of the images listed one after the other as seen in: http://themes.seench.com/portrait/portfolio/173/

Thank you!

Hi, the size of the thumbnails will adjust to the variable screen resolution. If you make the images same size with CSS when the original images are different sizes, then the images will look distorted. If you want them all same sizes, I would suggest just making all the original images the same sizes using Photoshop or image editing application. It’s what I did here: http://demo.seench.com/portrait/media/ All the original images are 1024×682

thanks for your help so far! I was wondering if there was any way the gallery could open with the first image. Like the gallery opens on the page load instead of clicking for it to open?

Ah sorry, it’s not so easy. It would take me some time to figure that out.

HI, I don´t know what the problem is, but the blog page doesn´t show older posts, when I click on “older” (The settings are to show 15 posts per page). -> lianemetzler.de Thanks!

I am not sure about that. What happens when you set it to 10? I need to go into your Wordpress account to see what the problem is.

Solved it. Thanks.

Hi, I would like to change the color of the menu in white, and I searched in the images for the buttons. I changed them in black (nav-icons.png and nav-icons@2x.png). It doesn’t work. I don’t see them if the color of the menu is white. I see also 2 horizontal grey lines. Can I change them also from color?

thank you.

If you changed the icons to black and you uploaded the replaced files in the img directory, it should show up. Try clearing your cache. If you want to change the horizontal lines, it’s nav-line.png. If you are still having trouble, I will try sending you the files to replace.

HI There, Two questions: 1- How can I just show the images in the portfolio without the slide caption? 2- How can I take off the first icon in the menu bar ( the one that shows all texts)

1.) I am not sure which page you are talking about. The main portfolio page, the single portfolio page, the slides on the homepage, or media page? If it is for the main portfolio page, go to Appearances -> Editor in style.css and add

.project {background:none !important; border:none !important}
.project .thumb-title {display:none !important}
.project .cover {display:none !important}

2.) Add following in style.css
#nav li.list {display:none !important}

Hi there, I need to change in the single portfolio page.

.single-portfolio .fullpic .caption {display:none !important}

beautiful theme, thank you! Two questions : - how can I change the setup such that the images do not move on mouse-rollover, I find it unnecessary and distracting? - is there a way to have two gallery pages, e.g. one referring to various subgalleries from 2012 and one for 2013? or category-specific? best regards Jan

Hi, go to Appearances -> Editor and view style.css. Look for every instance of

     -webkit-transform: translate(-5px, 0);
        -moz-transform: translate(-5px, 0);
         -ms-transform: translate(-5px, 0);
          -o-transform: translate(-5px, 0);
             transform: translate(-5px, 0);

     -webkit-transform: translate(0, 0);
        -moz-transform: translate(0, 0);
         -ms-transform: translate(0, 0);
          -o-transform: translate(0, 0);
             transform: translate(0, 0);
Delete the above lines.

Yes, you can have multiple gallery pages. Just create a new page and use the gallery page template.

excellent, thanks.

Hello again,

Would it be possible in single-portfolio.php to set the width of div class="row" to the effective shown picture’s width (e.g. 725px) rather than having a fixed value (current 1005px)? I find pictures in portrait orientation to “grow too big” whereas those in landscape orientation are displayed just fine.

Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. I’ve tried and added the following line:
.single-portfolio .row .fullpic .fit {width:auto !important; max-height:1100px !important}

Although it effectively limits the picture’s width, I’ve noticed that div class="row" and div class="full fullpic" do not match the picture width, thus breaking the picture center-alignement (it gets moved to the left) and the caption box size (which is still full-width as per div “row” size, 1036px).

Would it be possible to auto-center portrait pictures and make the caption box as wide as the picture’s width?

That is, portrait-oriented pictures would be 731px wide whereas landscape-oriented pictures would be displayed as per your theme default settings.

Thank you for looking into this for me :)

Hi, maybe an easier way would be to change

#container {width:90%; margin:0 auto; text-align:center}

Set the width to a lower percentage like 75%. To make it only specific for single-portfolio, add
.single-portfolio #container {width:75%; margin:0 auto; text-align:center}

Thank you :) I’ll give it a try as soon as I can.

I like it, but.. the size of the pictures is to big. look at this: http://www.evgeniaarbugaeva.com there the picture fits the screen, always. In the site that I bought (really good job !!!!) it don’t fit. on my iMac the home pictures on the demo are to big, and on my laptop it is the same.

And another question. Is it possible to use in the inidividual portfolio’s a slider like in the gallery?

I mean, the portfolio/projects is very nice, I like the way you can overview, you can read a bit text and go to a link, but it would be very nice, if we can change the way pictures are shown. Now every picture is shown under the other. If the slider that you have made could be replaced it would be also very nice. But with the same things there are now.

WHat should I do to remove the line on the home page? I removed the logo and like to have my slider a bit higher. The line shouldn’t stand there any more.

Hi, see the bottom message on yoyobami. I posted the code. If you are referring to the black line, then in style.css add the following

.rslides1_tabs {display:none !important}

Could you explain what the size/setup of the logo should be to work best? I couldn’t find it in the instructions. thanks Jan

Mine is 165×23 but it shouldn’t matter as long as the height is not too high. If you want to make it high resolution, make one twice as big. For example, mine would be 330×46. Then, I would add in style.css #logo img {width:165px !important; height:auto !important}

Is it possible to change the side navigation to a integrated top navigation?

Hi, you’ll have to customize the CSS. Thanks for your interest.

Great template but i want to know how can i fixe the slide bar on the left. I just want the slidbar to be big without the left button.

Thank you Last question: How to uniformize the black line of the slidbar because now it’s bigger and after thiner; You can see here http://webprivileges.fr/Kdo/

Hi, sorry I forgot about that. Look for <div class=”bar”></div> in header.php and change to

<div class="bar bar-open"></div>

My images on my blog are appearing blurry and right hand side is cut off when displayed on ipad 3 and iphone 4s (retina display). However the ‘featured image’ displays fine. Why is that?

Hi, that is because Wordpress is setting the height and width of your image. For example if you look at the text editor, you have the following for the HTML of the image
<img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3163" alt="Blog-Collage-1370517938848" src="http://www.corralphotography.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Blog-Collage-1370517938848.jpg" width="816" height="3555" />
Change it to:
<img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3163" alt="Blog-Collage-1370517938848" src="http://www.corralphotography.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Blog-Collage-1370517938848.jpg" style="width:100%; height:auto" />
If you want it clear for retina display, try at least making the image 1.5x bigger with the same resolution. So the current image you have is 816×3555. Try using one that is 1240×5402. Downfall would be that the image file size would be big.

That worked. Thank you. Is there a line I can insert in the ‘style.css’ so it can be done automatically whenever I add those type of images?

Try adding in style.css
#post .row .right .size-full {width:100% !important; height:auto !important}
For the above, the img HTML tag needs to have “size-full” class in order for it to work. You can also try the below, but it will make all the images’ width 100% in the post.
#post .row .right {width:100% !important; height:auto !important}

Hello, this is a gorgeous template!!

I just have a couple of questions in regards to the mullti media slideshow. Is there a way to have the images show at random?

Thank you!

Also, I’m trying to use the media slideshow as my main portfolio since it auto scrolls but it’s not working. I added slide by slide but it just added the photos to the main WP editing section. When I preview all the photos are lined one below the other and not in a slideshow. So I deleted the photos from the main section but now nothing appears. Yet they still show in the add slide section…Any suggestions?

The best! Can we expect an HTML version or not? Thanks.

Hi, I meant for this particular theme.

In my opinion, your theme is the BEST I have seen on ThemeForest. How difficult would it be for me to deconstruct the Wordpress version into an HTML one? My problem is NOT with your work but with Wordpress. :)

I actually have an incomplete HTML version without documentation. It’s a little different from the WP version. If you send me a message with your email, I’ll send it to you for free.

Nevermind about the media slides not working…I just needed to add a caption in order for them to appear.

I’d still like to know if the slides can display at random?

Also, my images in the media slideshow are being cropped in height. The images are 1024 in width and 600 in height but they’re being cropped a significant amount in the bottom. How can I fix this?

Hi, open up style.css by going to Appearances -> Editor. Look for the following line under the /* Media Page */ section:

.slider .caption {z-index:99; bottom:0; margin-bottom:-30px; position:absolute}

Replace it with:
.slider .caption {overflow:hidden}
.slider .rslides a {display:block; position:relative}

As for the random images in slides, you’ll have to modify global.js file. Open that up with your text editor. Look for following around line 87

            auto: true,
            pager: false,
             nav: true,
            speed: 400

Replace it with
            auto: true,
            pager: false,
             nav: true,
            speed: 400,
            random: true
Save, upload and replace the file.

Hello, thanks for your quick replies…

The cropping of the photos is now fixed, yay! But it’s still cropping the bottom of the caption text.

Also, I tried the “random: true” string but it still shows them consecutively, not random.

Your help is greatly appreciated!! _

Hi, I am not sure why the random feature is not working. The slides are generated by a jQuery plugin called responsiveslides.js http://responsiveslides.com/ and random: true is what the documentation says.

For the cropping of text, try

.slider .caption {overflow:hidden; padding-bottom:50px !important}
