Thank you for your theme, it works really well and is very easy to use! I do not know much and I have a question: how do I add a button back on a portfolio item? Thank you in advance and Happy New Year!
Vincent
If you mean a button that will take you from the portfolio item back to the portfolio index you could try something like this http://wordpress.org/support/topic/adding-back-button-on-my-entries.
Or if you’re portfolio page will not be changing you could hard code a link on the single-portoflio.php template file back to your portfolio page.
I have items of portfolios available for several different pages. I wish that when someone clicks on that item, it can return to the page before. Example: A item “X” is on page “A” and “B”, I want the person to return to the page “A” or “B” next to where he came from. As the back button of browser.
Thank you in advance,
Vincent
I don’t have the exact code to do it but these might be some help:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/adding-back-button-on-my-entries http://wordpress.org/support/topic/asking-for-the-impossible-a-contextual-back-button-ie-back-to-xHello. I am new to Wordpress and depend upon complete instructions for guidance. The readme file for the Presence theme has a section called “How do I add a slider to a page?” This section explains how to create a slider, how to add slides to a slider and how to add images and URLs to slides. It does not explain how to add a slider to a page as the title suggests. Any information on this would be helpful, thank you.
Thank you for your fast response. I have rechecked that the slider is enabled and the slider I created is listed in the drop down window.
No slider appears on the page. Besides loading the Presence theme, are there any additional plugins needed to use the slider?
Please provide a link to the page.
That’s the blog index. Only pages can have a slider.
In WordPress you have several “page” types:
Only actual pages can have a slider.
Hi,
Amazing theme, thanks for the same. Wanted to know if there was a way to use the lightbox functionality mentioned in portfolio on pages rather than portfolio. Specifically on a text link.
Say for example i had a link that says “click to view pic” and then on clicking the relevant image opens up in lightbox.
Kind Regards, Bhavin
Add the
rel="prettyPhoto"attribute to the link and it will open in the lightbox. To form a gallery of images add the gallery ID in squre brackets after prettyPhoto> Example:Beautiful template. Is it retina display ready?
No changes have been applied for retina displays.
I’m VERYY happy with this theme, I did have one question for you…
Is there any way I can change the portfolio page so that it’s not the most recent listing on top? I’d like to change it to be in a customized order.
Thanks so much.
In the portfolio template files (portfolio-2-column.php and portfolio-3-column.php) change the
orderbyparameter in the loop query fromdate<code> to <code>menu_order</code> and then set the order using the Order option on the portfolio item edit screen.</code>Thanks so much!
Hi, I’ve been having a couple of problems with the theme. Since WP 3.5.1, the headspace plugin no longer works correctly, won’t do drag and drop because of a Javascript error. Tried disabling all plugins etc. but still nothing. The same headspace works on 3.5.1 with a brand new site. I wonder if you had any ideas?
Also, trying to insert a button using short code from the toolbar doesn’t insert anything and if I try and use the shortcode manually, everything works except the “link” is empty no matter what I do. Any ideas?
Thanks, David.
I’ve tested both issues on the live preview of the theme running WP3.5.1 and the HeadSpace 2 plugin and can’t replicate either of them. First Try clearing your browser cache and if that doesn’t work try reinstalling the theme.
Here are the buttons added via the TinyMCE editor button: http://themes.eugeneo.com/presence/character-test/
