Glad to be the first to purchase your theme. Looks great in the Demo. Can’t wait to install it.
Thanks for purchasing. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it. Let us know if you have any problems or suggestions.
This theme looks very refined. Great work man and good luck with the sales.
Just bought this template and tried to install in Joomla 1.6 using extensions manager. I select the zip file and then select “upload & install”. This seems to fail with the message “no site chosen” given, along with :
Strict Standards: Declaration of JButtonPopup::fetchId() should be compatible with that of JButton::fetchId() in C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla16\libraries\joomla\html\toolbar\button\popup.php on line 78
Any idea what the problem is?.
Further to the post above, I identified a warning message in “Extensions Manager” indicating that my “upload_max_filesize” parameter in my php.ini file was larger than the “post_max_size” variable. This was true in that upload_max_size was set to 128m while my post_max_size was set to 8m.
I changed the post_max_size to be 128m.
Then, again using the Extensions Manager, I tried to install the template using the “Upload Package File” option. This time it failed with :
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
Note that I have successfully installed many other templates in Joomla 1.6.
Thank you very much for purchasing our template. It sounds like you are uploading the zip you downloaded directly. Please unzip it first. Inside you’ll find the template zip along with the extensions, quickstart and PSDs.
Let us know if you have more questions. Have fun!
Many thanks for your prompt reply. Following your advice, I now have the template installed and I’m able to access the frontend and adminstrator backend.
So a good start (I’m relatively new to Joomla).
Is there any installation and configuration documentation for this template?.
However in running the frontend, it contains many seperate error messages. I’m happy to send a screen print if you are able to assist.
Examples of error messages include :
Strict Standards: Non-static method modJLNewsSliderHelper::getList() should not be called statically in C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla16\modules\mod_jlnewsslider\mod_jlnewsslider.php on line 14
Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla16\modules\mod_jlnewsslider\helper.php on line 26
Notice: Use of undefined constant limitstart – assumed ‘limitstart’ in C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla16\plugins\content\mavikthumbnails\mavikthumbnails.php on line 318
Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla16\plugins\content\mavikthumbnails\mavikthumbnails.php on line 376
Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla16\plugin
Please do contact us with a link and if possible a login. The download should include a file called readme.html with all the documentation. If you have never used Joomla before we recommend you use the quickstart package to get to know it. It installs a copy of the demo in your server so you don’t need to worry about the extensions and configuration. The errors must be coming from a configuration setting. We’ll look it up.
Further to points above, I have done a full uninstall and then re-install but encountered exactly the same problems. I’m obviously doing something wrong.
Have produced two notes for your consideration :
1. setting out the exact steps I have carried out to install xampp/joomla/template. All software was installed locally on a windows vista machine.
2. a full screen print of the prototype frontend screen showing the error messages displayed.
Unfortunately don’t have a way to send you the PDF files as above for your consideration.
I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org or on +44-7919-316280
I’ve been doing some investigation.
See thread http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=271244
It describes the exact symptoms of my problem. It seems that when you install your template with the standard xampp and joomla install, it presents a problem on the frontend screens with many error messages.
This seems to be caused by the incorrect setting of two php.ini settings, notably error_reporting and error_display.
As I’m pretty new to PHP , can you confirm what these parameters should be set to?.
In the php.ini file, I changed the :
from E_ALL | E_STRICT
to E_ALL & E_STRICT
The template now works fine!.
Ok glad to hear that. Next time you can contact us from our profile page. There is a contact form on the bottom right. Enjoy the template
This is a fantastic template. Great work guys! I did have a question regarding the menu system. For some reason my third level menu items are popping up to the left instead of the right, and I’m not sure why.
Do you have any ideas how this could have happened? I’m happy to send you more info if that helps.
The site is :
Got to: Resources/learning center
Thanks for the kind words and purchase
Seems like there was an error with the link. We tried http://valencia.directrouter.com/hydrofa1/ but that address gives an error.
hi there. Will this work with Joomla 1.7?
Yes it does
Having trouble positioning article teasers in top-col-modules… Have created the articles, have tried to create modules but I’m new to Joomla and can’t figure out how to create the four-column layout under the “top” position. Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you!
Thanks for purchasing. The column layout should appear automatically as you add modules to the position. There is also a difference between articles and the module content. You can link to your articles using the default modules or you can use an html module to display a custom bit of text or other content. I hope this makes sense.
