UKtrade: adding widgets to the sidebars will override the admin messages.

themesforge

ah yes @Kimharp – thanks for helping out :) I misread @uktrade’s comment – @Kimharp is correct – adding widgets to the sidebar will remove this message – it only appears for logged in WordPress admins by the way :)

Hi thanks for help, one more. Is it possible to add another tab on the products page next to ‘Description’ and ‘Specification’?

P.S – Also I cannot see the reviews tab?

themesforge

Hi there,

Yes it’s possible to add custom tabs. You can do it a few ways but this is probably the easiest:

http://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-custom-product-tabs-lite/

Re: Reviews tab – you might need to consult the WooCommerce docs about that – the theme displays the reviews tab by default e.g.

Hi there, Please take a look at greekfoodemporiumny.com I would like to know where the black top nav bar categories are if the text can be in two lines. For example instead of Olive Oil & Vinegar being straight across it would be like this:

Olive Oil & Vinegar

This way I can fit more categories in the black bar. Hopefully I made sense…lol Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Default-user

actually – when i posted this it reformatted the way i wrote it. I want the “& vinegar” to be directly underneath the word “olive oil”

Hi there,

thanks for getting in touch!

Re: your query – I don’t think there is a simple way of doing this. The menu items expand based on the width of the text in the menu item.

You would need to write custom css to limit the width of the menus but this wouldn’t really be a good idea.

Hi Ed,

Any news on this template to move the single product page sidebar to the left?

Kind Regards

Lloyd

Hey Lloyd,

I just re-sent the email now :)

Hi, in the footer your demo shows phone number, email and payment methods. How do I get this onto my site?

themesforge

Hi there,

They’re all in the Theme Admin options from within WordPress.

Hi Ed,

Last message I promise. Shop is about to go live tomorrow.

Having difficulties getting the ‘In this section’ to work.

As far as I remember I haven’t tried to alter this element or the functions associated with it. I have associated child page’s to a parent page and nothing appears to be showing.

Any help massively appreciated.

http://www.ecigsplaza.co.uk/

Kind Regards

Lloyd

themesforge

Hi Lloyd,

The child items that are displayed are actually child menu items from within Appearance->Menus, rather than parent/child pages.

If you add sub menu items from within the menus section they’ll show up in the “In this section” area.

Hi Ed,

Site is still very much under construction but hoping you can help me out.

Using the Customize tool, I set it to NOT show text on sliders… but this little box is still appearing? How can I make it go away? www.simpleheli.com

Default-user

Hey Ed, have you had a chance to look under the hood? Really want to get rid of the box on the sliders. Haven’t got an email from you yet.

themesforge

Hey there :) Not just yet – you’re on my todo list for the next 24 hours – stay tuned and I’ll be in touch asap.

Hey Ed… still waiting!

Hi Ed,

just trying to get the nav/sidebar to appear on our wordpress pages.

any pointers would be great!

(we have tried every page template available, and they don’t seem to do anything?)

regards, loz

themesforge

Hi there loz,

Have you added some widgets to the “Shop sidebar” widget area?

There is a separate widget area for the shop products listing page.

Best,

Ed

Default-user

Yes, we have the WooCommerce Cart Widget & Woocommerce Categories Widget + one text field widget.

We are using the “left nav” template on all pages.

it is appearing on all woocommerce pages no problem, but standard wordpress pages are not displaying the widgets:

WooCommerce: http://www.motorsportbrakes.com.au/?product_cat=honda

and

Wordpress Standard Page: http://www.motorsportbrakes.com.au/?page_id=1450

can u shoot your WP login details to me via ed@themesforge.com and I’ll take a quick look.

Hello, I am having trouble with the drop-down options for variable products in Internet Explorer; it does not seem to allow one to select an option. Can you please look into this asap?

Example: https://www.horseherbs.com/shop/all-in-one/

themesforge

Hi there,

I don’t know how you are outputting the “earn HerBucks” – is this a WooCommerce plugin?

It’s possibly this that is causing your issue.

If you remove this and just use the basic variable product pricing feature does it work correctly?

Ed

Default-user

No, I disabled them and got the same results. Would it help if I setup a fresh install with just the theme and Woocommerce installed?

themesforge

I think you would be better off starting with a fresh install and then re-applying your changes until you find the point where it breaks.

Ed

Hello Ed,

Is there a way to hide or remove the section on product pages that shows sku information or categories? This would be the box that appears under the title and price of a product and to the left of the product image. Thanks.

themesforge

Hi, yes remove the line

add_action( ‘woocommerce_single_product_summary’, ‘tf_woocommerce_template_single_meta’ );
in the location described above

that will remove the category.

Ed

Default-user

Thank you sir, that did the trick!

you are most welcome :)

Hi sorry to keep asking questions but is there a way to remove the deals black box on the homepage widget. I would like just an image but even with no text in the deal I can still see an empty black box.

themesforge

Hi there,

If you open up/

/proffet/functions/global/widgets/featured-deal-widget.php

remove lines 43 – 48

                        <div class="sideslidetitle">
                            <div class="topthespiel">
                                <h4><?php echo the_title(); ?></h4>
                                <?php echo the_content(); ?>
                            </div>
                        </div>

That should do it!

hello, there, But my website have been installed on the host and operating now. Could I change the color at this situation? Thanks

themesforge

Hi there,

yes you should be able to change this if you have some access via your host – generally most good hosts will provide something like cPanel which provides a file manager to let you access the core WordPress and theme files.

Hi Ed,

I can’t seem to get shortcodes working (specifically columns).

The text is displaying but it is not in the columns…... There also seems to be padding/margin on the left of the text which is not replicated in your demo.

Any ideas as to what might be causing it?

Many Thanks,

Lee

Actually, it looks like it is in a column (i am using [one_half]Content here. /one_halfContent here.[/one_half_last], only they are one on top of the other.

Lee

Hi Lee,

nice to hear from you!

I think I know what might be causing this – another customer had a similar issue recently – ping me an email to ed@themesforge.com with your login details again and I’ll take a look asap.

Is there a matching HTML version of this for seo purposes?

themesforge

Hi jimmychickens, thanks for getting in touch.

There’s no html version at present. When you say for SEO purposes could you explain what you mean?

Hi, two more question.. 1. Seems like the Cloud Zoom is blurring the image when its not zooming even when I’ve already disabled tint/softFocus; how do I fix this?

2. How do I change the thumbnail size so it wont be distorted?

You can check my site at http://www.projectvacation.com/product/suit-up/

Thank you in advance

themesforge

Hi there Amiru,

My general rule of thumb is to ensure your raw images are at least 500*500px which will allow WordPress to generate the correctly sized thumbnails that WooCommerce will use. Hope this helps,

Ed

Love this theme. Have just about everything setup, finally. Is it possible to have the category listing on the front page? I have the cats in a side bar on the other pages, but doesn’t seem to be a way to add it to the front page.

The cats are in the header and footer menu, however, the owner would like to see the cats on the side of the front page.

Thank you

themesforge

Hi there befine,

thanks for getting in touch and thanks for the kind words :)

At the moment there is no specific home page template to allow you to display categories on the homepage. But the homepage does have many widget areas for you to put what ever you want within them – so it should be possible for you to added the category listing there – you might need to some custom styles I would imagine.

Hope this helps,

Ed

Hi there, loving the theme so far, I was just wondering if its possible to remove the “Admin Messages” somehow?

themesforge

Hi there,

thanks for getting in touch!

I presume you mean the “Admin messages” in the sidebar? This only appears to admins who are logged in to WordPress and will dissappear when you drop in some widgets to your sidebar.

Hope this helps,

Ed
