This theme is currently broken. There is no way to edit existing portfolio items. You can create them. You can delete them. But you can not add images to an existing portfolio item or reorder the images in an existing portfolio item.
Having tried to address the problem with the developer via the support forums he has taken a defensive and unprofessional attitude. Response time has been slow (averaging over 3 days). He has repeatedly given instructions for ADDING a portfolio item, not EDITING an EXISTING portfolio item. When I used all-caps in a post to highlight the difference between the question I asked and the answer I got, I got this response:
“Sorry but I do not respond to ALL CAPS. I’ve created a video to try and help and I get this response. I guess you’ll have to figure it out on your own now.” (the full transcript is below).
At this point I would very much recommend steering clear of this theme and any other theme from this developer.
Don’t seem to be getting anywhere via the comments posted in the other ticket, so thought a new one may be needed. The portfolio in this theme appears to be not working in WP 3.6.1. When we create a portfolio post, add images to it etc they just appear in the body of the post. I can’t see any way to get them to appear in the slider above the body of the post. Also – with existing items, I can’t find any way to add images to existing portfolio items. I can see what images are in there via the “Uploaded to this post” drop down under media library, but there seems to be no way to add new ones. Whenever we do so they just appear in the body. We have been trying to address this problem since Thursday and really need to know a way around it ASAP. Do we need to downgrade Wordpress? Do we need to downgrade the theme? Both?

All you need to do to create a gallery for a portfolio post is upload more than one image. The theme automatically creates the gallery from the uploaded images. Here’s a quick video of me doing it… http://quick.as/nj6t4e7

The only way I’ve found around this is to download all the images from the exisiting post and create a new post where all the images are uploaded at the same time.
Seems ridiculous. There used to be a way to add an image to a portfolio item and reorder the order in which they appear. Seems that somewhere along the road an “Upgrade” was actually a downgrade?

The theme is not broken. We have not had any of the other ~500 buyers experience this issue. I spent a lot of time trying to help you from which I received negative and unappreciative responses.

If the theme is not broken then why not answer the question I have asked?
I have asked several times for info on how you edit an EXISTING portfolio item. Each time you tell me how to add a NEW portfolio item. (Sorry if the ALL CAPS offends your sensibilities – most people appreciate clarification).
So far myself and 4 other people (all very experienced with WP) have not been able to work out how this is done.
You say you have been helpful. If someone asked for directions to Chelsea, and you gave them directions to Cambridge, is that helpful?
You say I have been “negative and unappreciative”. Well, as can be seen from the transcript above that is far from the truth. On each occasion I have thanked you for your response and attempted to make you aware that you have not answered the question that I asked.
As for you saying “the free support I’ve provided is not required”, let me quote your web site:
“Outstanding support”; “We take great pride in providing you with outstanding support, documentation and tutorials for our themes.”; “The support is awesome!?I’ve only had one customization question so far and I received an response within minutes.”
How about living up to that and simply providing an answer to the question I have asked. I will be very happy to have my statement that the theme is broken proved wrong.
If you can’t answer it, then I guess people will have to accept that I am correct and will know that the theme is broken.

I’ve showed you how to both add new portfolio items and edit existing ones. My first response to you was…

Using the above instructions we can indeed see which images are in the existing gallery and can delete them if needed.
However, from there it is not apparent how an additional image can be added to the post in such a way that it becomes part of the gallery/slideshow and not embedded as an image within the body of the post.
If you can help with that it would be very much appreciated.
The images should not show up in the body of the post at all.
The theme simply takes the images attached (uploaded) to the post and displays them as a gallery.
You can edit/delete/reorder the images from the “Uploaded to this post” section. Any new images uploaded will show up there.

Agreed. But they do… and therein lies our problem.
I’ll try to get a screencam recorded to show you what we experience.
It would also be helpful if you provided a link to a page that this is happening on. We can continue this in your forum post.
We upgraded to WP 3.8 recently, and noticed the sub pages in our menu don’t show up any longer when the parent page is hovered over… Can you please provide the fix for this? Here is the site: http://netdev7.info.
P.S. I already tried deactivating and re-activating all my plugins, one at a time, and nothing fixed the subpage navigation…
Hi Theresa. It looks like you’re version 2.2 of the Prolio theme which was released almost two years ago in February 2012.
There have been many updates since then. You should install the newest version which should fix this problem and include other improvements.

It looks like the custom field area that used to exist before the them upgrade and domain switch is now missing… How can I add a link so the slider image links to a page?

hello there.. nice theme… i have a problem. when i upload the logo, it shows in the header. but when i sign out from wp-admin it does not shows in the header. what is the reason? i need a solution fast. my client is waiting for the immediate solution. thanks
when upload the logo, it comes in the folder which is in wp content.

As I’ve responded to you in our forum…. the issues that you are experiencing are caused by you caching plugin. Disable the caching plugin until you are done setting up the theme.
Your support is not trustworthy. Very bad. You have to return my money or solve my theme issues.. I don’t have time to wait more than 10 days for a solution.

Hello, I am running WP 3.9.2 and Prolio v2.8 and am unable to edit existing pages or add content to new pages. The content area of the page is totally dead (including the Visual and Text tabs) when it opens with the Visual tab selected. If I disable the visual option in my User settings it works fine in text mode. I really like this theme and would really like to be able to keep using it but won’t be able to unless I can get this figured out. Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi there. Yep, there were changes to the post editor in WP 3.9 that caused a conflict with our Editor Extras add-on. We fixed and updated our themes as soon as v3.9 came out and since then we have not had any other users report this problem and our demo site is working fine.
All I can suggest is for you to delete the current install of the theme you have and clear your cache. Then reinstall/activate the latest version v2.8 again.
If it still doesn’t work, try deactivating your plugins one by one to see if one is causing the error.

Just bought Prolio V3 and having much the same problem as:

Have deactivated plugins, cleared cache, even re-installed and still have the same issue.
I don’t have this issue if I change themes – the issue is only with Prolio.

I just double checked our demo site which is running WP 4.0 with v2.8 of the Prolio theme and everything is working fine.
All I can think of is that it might be a caching issue. Your server might not have updated all of the files in the new version of the theme. Try clearing your cache.

When creating a Slide post for the slider there is a box called Slide Link.
we don’t see that, let’s try agin,
On the front page we want to click on the image to go to another
