Is this responsive and does it adapt to iPhones Ipads etc?

internq7

Hi,

no, this theme is not responsive, however it still looks good in those devices. :)

How can I align the top logo so that it is bigger and not just on the left – not just a left alignement)

internq7

Hi,

unfortunately the top area is fixed in height and making it taller would require some modifications to CSS and top area images, if you know how to do those customizations feel free to do them.

Hi internq7,

I have to move a WordPress installation that use your theme on a new server.

1) Can I easily backup all the theme option, so I don’t have to replicate them manually? 2) Where can I edit the theme color_sheme selection? Only way I found is to hardcode in the header.php

$style = ( $qualifire_options[‘color_scheme’] ) ? “style{$qualifire_options[‘color_scheme’]}”: “style1”;

But I’m sure you have an option menu in the WordPress admin, I just can’t find it.

Thanks a lot!

internq7

Hi,

it’s best to do a full MySQL dump which will give you a full clone of your site after the move, or you could use plugins for WordPress that will backup and restore your site, such as BlogVault, BuckupBuddy and the like..

Here’s some tips:
AUTOMATED METHOD WITH THIRD PARTY PLUGINS:
=============================================

In terms of plugins that might allow you to do migrations/clone/move, etc, checkout these ones:
- For a quick move from one directory to another on the same server, you can go by this tutorial:
http://youtu.be/qJpkJOpUxNY

Here’s some plugins that will help you backup and move your site:
- Blog Vault
- BackupBuddy
- http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-move/
- http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/xcloner-backup-and-restore/

MANUAL METHOD:
=============================================

Otherwise if you need to migrate your WordPress site to a totally different server with different URL, these are the steps I would recommend, and by all means feel free to explore other methods to clone or migrate your WP site.

SOURCE SITE:
You need a MySQL dump of the source database and a copy of the entire WordPress directory (recursively).

TARGET SITE:
Create a new MySQL database and import the source MySQL dump file in it.
If you have different database name, username and password from the original, then make sure you update the wp-config.php with the new DB login info.
Then paste the WP source directory with all the files in it to the new server (anywhere you want it).
Then use one of the following three methods to adjust the site’s URL’s in the database: http://wpcanada.ca/2009/how-to-change-your-site-url/

Then login into the admin area of the new site and use one the following plugins to change all references of the old site URL with the new one:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/velvet-blues-update-urls/screenshots/
or:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search-and-replace/
or this tool:
http://interconnectit.com/124/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

Then the only place that you might have to change any URL’s by hand is in Text Widgets and the Sliders images, if there are any.

ADDITIONALLY: The WordPress Codex has a nice article on this migration process: Moving WordPress.

Thanks a lot for your detailed answer about best pratices for wordpress migration.

I had another question, about how to change the theme color_sheme (style.css). I know your theme come with 9 different style, but I can’t find where to manually change from style1 to style5. Only way I found was to hardcode it in header.php, wich i’m sure is not recommanded ;)

Thank again!

internq7

ionempire, I just noticed that you posted your question under the wrong theme type, this is the question area for QualiFire Site template and NOT the WordPress version :)

If you don’t mind re-posting your question to the QualiFire WordPress comments area so that others can benefit from this information: http://themeforest.net/item/qualifire-wordpress-theme/discussion/105879

Thanks

page under portifolio how do I click on the category and just get her picture

internq7

Hi,

for each category you would need to create a new Portfolio page, that way when you select that category the respective Portfolio page will be loaded.

hello, I think there’s something wrong with the theme, because in portifolio page, when I click on the categories does not change, see the link: http://metalucks.com.br/site/galeria.html

Including live preview does not change, but changed

Default-user

remembered that it is not the wordpress version but html

internq7

yes, it changed for me, I clicked on one of the categories and I got a new page with new items. There’s nothing that could possibly be wrong with the theme, don’t forget this is plain HTML template, you are the driver here so if something doesn’t work as because of how you liked it or set it up :) HTML should be very straight forward, what could possibly go wrong

I purchased the Qualifire Theme and I love it … do you offer any mobile sites ? If not can you recommend one that would compliment Qualifire ?

internq7

HI,

I offer a responsive/mobile theme “U-Design” if that’s what you’re asking. More on U-Design here: http://themeforest.net/item/udesign-wordpress-theme/253220
