Is it possible to change how the slider works? Like change it to fade, or slide horizontal?

OK. I did figure out how the modify the slider a little. But for someone like me who really does not know JavaScript, it is a bit hard to figure out….

All I need to figure out is how to increase the duration of each slide. I checked http://gsgd.co.uk/sandbox/jquery/easing/ and it even says something about duration. I tried adding this to scripts.js but it completely disabled the whole slider thing for me…

How can I do this?
