Love this template! How do I set up the “Twitter Feed”? I’ve gone into the HTML and inserted the handle into the code where appropriate, but twitterfeed box still just sitting there, nothing in it but the title. Does it take a while to start working? I noticed that tumblr’s “post-by-email” took about 30 mins to load the entry. Just asking about the Twitter feed. Thanks.
Also…could we have access to the psd’s to edit the wrappers more easily?
Just wondering. Thanks.
Hi chopshopdesign,
I’m glad you love the theme!
If you check out the instructions file included with the theme it walks you through how to set up Twitter. You don’t need to touch the code. The option is on Tumblr’s Settings page.
I’m currently working on an update that fixes a few bits and I will included the PSD /AI files in the update.
Hope that helped!
Was just about to purchase but have one question, is some kind of commenting system supported in this theme? Most Tumblr themes support the Disqus system.
If not how difficult would it be to manually add and make fit in to the them UI?
Hi ntrfc0,
Rapture does come with DisQus comments installed. All you need to do is set up a DisQus account, set up your Tumblr site on the DisQus website, grab the shortname and enter it in the DisQus box in the Appearance menu when customising your theme.
Hope this helps!
thanks for your fast response. the theme is beautiful to work with. just a quick question – what size should the header image be? mine keeps overflowing the assigned box. thanks
Hi Hassans,
The logo image I have in the header at the moment is 150px by 60px. I’ll add that to the next update… automatic header image resizing. Thanks again for the purchase!
Love the theme. Two questions, though:
1. Is it possible to truncate the length of text posts appearing on the main page? Basically I’d the first few lines posted, then the rest linked at the posts permanent home.
2. Is there any way to remove the post type indicators from the top right of each post? They look lovely, but aesthetically are not really my cup of tea for this particular work in progress.
Link for reference (click)
Thanks in advance, again, love the theme.
Hi arrjaytea,
Thank you for purchasing my theme and I’m glad you love it!
I’m not too sure if we can truncate the posts in Tumblr, I will do a bit of research and testing for you.
Also it looks like you’ve already removed the post type ribbons. If you add padding-top: 30px to the .post_content_right class it will bring the posts sidebar content down a bit so it is not on the top border.
Lovely, thank you so much for all of your help!
I have also found a few inelegant workarounds for the truncation issue (requiring the use of pagination, but for long form pieces, that might not be as large a problem as I’m imagining).
Regardless, this has been not only a great theme in terms of style/customization, but also in terms of providing me a framework to get more comfortable editing CSS styles of my own.
$17 seems a pittance for that kind of education. Again, thank you.
I’m happy to have helped and thank you for the nice comments.
No problem. Also, I didn’t realize that Tumblr had implemented a “Read More” button, so that resolves the issue of truncation in posts where it would be necessary.
I also wanted to note that in terms of how you’ve structured the file, this has been a WONDERFUL way for me to learn not only how to alter the CSS styles you’ve provided, but to begin writing my own. I’m working on resizing the slider image box and repositioning the sidebar now.
In a few weeks or a month, once I’ve completed the redesign, I’ll post again with the results, but once again, to anyone considering a purchase, this is highly, highly recommended. Very accessible to even novice coders.
Hey! I love the theme and am REALLY thinking about purchasing. Before I do, 2 questions:
1. Can I add other elements to the sidebar (Facebook Fan Page Box, Custom images with embedded links, etc)?
2. Is there any way to make the actual media content within the posts (and i guess, therefore, the posts as well) bigger? When i post videos/pictures I would like them to be about 400-500 pixels wide.
Thanks so much!! If you want to answer me via email that would be much easier—loggymusic@gmail.com

Hi Alex,
Thank you for enquiring about my Tumblr theme, sorry for the delay in replying. All of the above can be achieved through customisation of the css. If you need further direction I will be happy to help.
I am trying to place a leaderboard image underneath the slider display on the main page.
Where at in the code should I place the img src?
I can’t seem to find the right to place it in.
Got it. Nevermind.
Great theme!
hey i think your theme looks great
question for ye: can you add a search bar on the right (id like it to be able to search both my blog and tumblr by choice), and can you add in text into the slider?
Hi phatyogamatt,
Thank you for enquiring about my theme.
The theme does have a built in search box, you can now see it in the live preview (it wasn’t activated before). This will let people search your blog.
Also at this moment you can’t add captions to the image slider but I will add this function in a future update.
ok thank you! captions would be super important for me. when do you think you might do that update?
also i just bought it…unfortunately im a newb and i cant copy the code from the notebook++ whenever i paste it all get is PK. help?
The update should be ready today for you, just working on some styling.
What do you mean all you get is PK? :s Would you like me to install the theme for you?
yes that would be excellent! thank you so much for that offer. how do we set this up? my email is phatyogamatt@gmail.com i always appreciate good customer service! thanks
It’s all set up for you now! I hope you enjoy your new theme!
Hey! loving Rapture so far! one question—is there any way to get the Disqus comment box to show up below every post on the main page?
Hi alexlag,
Thank you for purchasing my Rapture Tumblr theme and I’m glad your loving it!
I just tested your question and it seems Tumblr doesnt like Disqus being on the home page multiple times. The Disqus comment form only showed up on the first photo post, not all.
I hope that answers your question.
Amazing theme!
Is there a way to align the google+ button along with the others? And is there a less cumbersome way of designating a post to the slider ie tumblr tagging it as such?
Thanks!
Hi paxmachina,
Thank you for purchasing my theme and I’m glad you like it!
If you mean the gap between the Facebook like and Google + buttons, this can’t be changed because when someone clicks on the like button it then shows the amount of likes next to the button, filling in that gap.
I’m not quite sure what you mean about the slider post? Do you want to be able to automatically show a posts image within the slider without editing the options?
Yes! I’m probably asking way too much as your theme is much advanced than others for tumblr.
And do you have a more detailed instruction sheet detailing the functions of
banners 1,2,3 social images
and some others…
Thank you so much for such prompt replies!
sorry one more thing, is there a way at least to make some space between the tags and the social media shares? They seem a bit /sloppy cluttered.
thanks!
hi wildemedia, i am back trying to set up on tumblr – how do i get rid of the grey background to the header image? (unless there is an update to resize the headerimage?) thanks
Hi hassans,
Thank you for purchasing my theme. There is a way of removing the header background by deleting the line of code that calls the image. Look for #header in the CSS and delete the line that says background-image: URL … This will remove the header grey background image.
also – how do i change it so that none of the posts have a grey background? can i adjust this color?
Hi Hassans,
The background colour in the posts is created by a graphic, you will either need to edit this graphic in Photoshop or delete it and add a colour to the posts background.
thanks anyway I think I got it!
OK if you have any further problems or queries, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
Hello there. Is it possible to hide all the tags shown on the pages? or reduce its size?
Do you mean the tags that so in the sidebar of each post?
Yes you can remove them in the code. I can walk you through this if you like.
Thanks, Christine
Is it possible to link a flickr group pool to the flickr feed?
-Grace
Hi Grace,
I’m not too familiar with groups on Flickr. Let me try some things out and I’ll get back to you.
Christine
Hey GraceHearts,
You can use a Flickr group in the Flickr feed. Just follow the instructions in the help file but use it on the groups page instead of your personal photo feed.
If you need any more help then please do not hesitate to ask!
Hi, love this theme and have purchased, but need some advice. I noticed that at the bottom of the page the PAGINATION MARK UP takes you to older posts when ‘Newer’ is selected and vice-versa. Is this a mistake in the html code ?
I have also found that when selecting a picture for the background it tiles regardless of image size. Possibly I am doing something wrong so could you please advise the correct image size to make the whole background just one image. Many thanks.
Thank you for purchasing my theme MusicalBoater!
Also thank you for letting me know. I’ll look into this for you and come up with a suitable solution. I may add more image options to the customisation panel, possibly the option to either tile or center the background image.
I will also look into the navigation problem.
