I’m having a minor issue. When I’m including a YouTube link for one of the front page blurbs, when it loads in PrettyPhoto, it is giving a title of “image.” Is there anyway to remove that? You can see an example here : http://rosenblumtv.com/beta/
Heya Zwiggi!
Hmmm – I’m actually not sure where that’s coming from – I’m thinking it might be hard-coded in as a default from the prettyPhoto plugin – I’ll check it in our next update session, but you can also check out their documentation in the meantime: http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyphoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/
Cheers! B
Hello! I might be missing something obvious but when I installed the theme, the front page showed no posts at all; just the background and the header image. Tried to change the header image and it wouldn’t take. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Hi Alka!
Visit the Settings > Reading panel and set it to display “Your Latest Posts” to display the theme demo homepage. If you want posts, you’ll need to create a page, assign the blog template, and assign that as your frontpage
Also make sure you fill out the entire Theme Options panel.
B
Hi epicera
I’m having the same problem as Alka, but after reading the documentation several times I still can’t change, remove or alter the Re/Action logo at the top left of the page. I’ve done several other tutorials and all goes well except here. I’m sure I’m missing something obvious but is there a way to specifically and directly delete that Logo? Changing the Site Title and Tagline is not working. LOL if you don’t mind explaining it to me like I was 5 I greatly appreciate it. Keep up the great work!
Hi Sideman!
Hmm odd! Can you file a ticket for us over at http://makedesign.ticksy.com with a username and login so we can take a peek?
Thanks! B
Hey there – is there anyway to edit the base.css file for this theme?
Sure – you can edit any CSS inside the /assets/stylesheets folder if you so choose
B
Hi!
I’m having an issue with the responsiveness of the feature row on the front page. When in mobile, the feature row seems to stay the same font and ends up interfering with the photo below.
Here’s my site: www.HawaiianEntertainment.com
Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!
Heya Mworley!
Can I have you file this over at http://makedesign.ticksy.com with a login for us to take a peek at it?
Thanks! B
Hi Epicera, First of all, awesome theme! I’ve started using it for a site I’m building. I changed the background color to cream instead of white, but for some reason I can’t find how to change the background of the page titles to the same color. Can you help?
Site is at http://cubiclue.com
Page example where title is showing up on a white background: http://cubiclue.com/aboutusThanks for your help!
Hi Nuk!
Sure – add this custom CSS to the theme options panel:
h2.title span, h1.title span, ul.tabs li a.active { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FDFFE8 !important; }Cheers! B
Fantastic! That worked. Thank you! <3 <3 <3
Glad to hear it! B
I’m trying to change the size and other aspects of the typography but all of the changes I’m making aren’t coming through at all.
I’m editing both the “typography-sans.css” and “typography-serif.css” files. When I copy them over to the server, none of the changes are appearing on the front page with both the browser I’m using and also a fresh browser. Any ideas?
I’m just trying to make some of the fonts on the homepage a little bigger and to change the “Featured” font.
Hi Zwiggi!
The best place to edit the CSS is from the custom CSS panel in the theme options page… OR to create a child theme and edit the .css files directly… that said, what you’d want to use if you want to edit the actual .css files is the FireBug plugin (we even have a video on using it here: http://youtube.com/makedesignnotwar) as it’ll help you to determine which line in which file is styling a specific element
Cheers! B
Hi!
I’m having trouble when adding 7 items to the menu: http://tinyurl.com/aoecvd3Doesn’t fit properly, when I go to the last item it goes down to a second line and starts flashing and something similar happens with the one before that one..
I wouldn’t mind taking some space from the logo part so that all these items can fit properly!
Can you please advice? I’ve tried and really don’t know how to fix it
Thanks, Regards
Hi Kiwi!
Try adding this custom CSS to your theme options panel:
.sf-menu > li > a { padding: 8px 13px !important; }Cheers! B
Great ! Thank you very much!! Nice theme and great support
Hello!
I was wondering if you had something that broke down which files were updated on the latest update.
Also, I can’t seem to get the portfolio to work same as the demo. When you click on the images, it doesn’t lightbox. I turned on the lightbox option in the theme settings. When you click the portfolio image, it just goes to the image link and not the lightbox.
Thanks for the help.
Hi Hc!
We don’t keep a file-update itemized log because in lots of cases, almost all of the files get changed a bit. If you have a link to your site, I’ll be glad to check out the lightbox issue though – in most cases lightbox snags are caused by plugin script conflicts

How can I add text to the aside div at the “From the blog” row? The one that is only text.
On your demo page you also say the theme has a contact form. How can I set this up?
Great theme but the documentation is a bit lacking…
Hi Delta!
The documentation mentions that we use the Contact Form 7 for the contact form
It’s a free plugin that anyone can grab.
The aside section for the From the Blog row is setup in the Theme Options panel
B
Hah! My fault. I found the pdf a bit too late too
No problem
How do you resize a light box for vimeo videos?
B
Hello,
I’ve noticed that FireFox is cutting off the right side of my slider. Haven’t noticed it with any other browsers. Have you identified an issue and fix for this. Thanks!
Hi there!
Got a link that I can use to check this out? And don’t be afraid to use our support ticket system over at http://makedesign.ticksy.com
Cheers! Brandon
www.revelationsports.com
Hmmm – that’s odd, but it looks like the images are simply too large… other browsers might behave differently by scaling the images, but FF might not do this for one reason or another. The easy fix is just to use the recommended 940px width
B
Thanks for the help.
Hello… please visit http://medialightasia.com/main/ ... could you help me get the top navigation menu to work properly? when a menu appears below, it’s way down for me to click it successfully.
Please tell me where to adjust.
thanks!
Hi Chuck!
It looks like you might have some sort of plugin conflict in there, but try this to adjust the placement of the dropdown menu if you don’t intend to use the sub-text underneath each main link:
.sf-menu:hover .sub-menu { top: 17px; }Just place that in the Custom CSS panel in your theme options page.
Cheers! B
Hello … I placed the code as you have instructed, same results PLUS the drop down menus now overlap. I’ve deactivated all the plugins and STILL same results.
Hi Chuck!
Can I get you to file this over at our support ticket system (http://makedesign.ticksy.com) along with a link and a login for us to check out? Thanks!
I updated to Version 2.0.6.1 … and looks like it did the fix. thanks.
Awesome! Thanks for the update chuck! B
Hi epicera,
I want to make a custom home page with slider – 3 Feature categories – Blog Post and Widget.
Could you please tell me how to make it?
Thanks!
Sure Modro – Just fill out the theme option panel under the Appearances tab, then select the “Your Latest Posts” option from the Settings > Reading panel.
Cheers! B
I’m having a problem with the theme:
When I am logged into WP and viewing my blog page, the toolbar on the top of the page is missing, but there is a white bar there instead. And, when I open up an individual post I have the same problem, and my footer won’t display.
Also, I know how to remove particular meta data from the top of the posts, but is there a way to have the author of that post link to a bio page on the website?
http://buglesmedia.comThanks!
Hi Jams!
Try turning that admin bar off from your Users > Your Profile page – in most cases WP adds funky styling in there, so we recommend just turning it off in most cases
To add an author bio page, you’d need to create a custom author.php file – that’s outside of the scope of what I can help out with, but here’s a page where you might get more info: http://codex.wordpress.org/Author_Templates
B
Thank you, but what about the issue with the footer not displaying on posts?
Hi there,
just bought the theme and was wondering how I can get my blog page on the front page. Ideally together with the slider.
Thanks, Chris.
Hi Chris!
You’d want to create a page, assign the blog template, add the frontpage slider or a pageslider, then visit the Settings > Reading panel and make that you static homepage.
Cheers! B
we have problem with the drop down menu, when we mouse over the drop down menu a drop down menu items displayed then when you move your mouse to click on any item or tab of drop down menu, then drop down menu disappeared on desktop and mobile versions. Please suggest, how we can fix it. Thanks
Hi Elixir!

Hello,
Thank you for this awesome theme.. I just get a bug. I have scrollbar (horizontal) on the document. I tested it on Firefox 18 and Chrome 24.. I got the same result. See this screenshot: preview
Please advice.
Can I get you to file this over at our support ticket system (http://makedesign.ticksy.com) along with a link and a login for us to check out? Thanks!
I debug it and figure it out. in the file: superfish.css The class: .sf-menu ul{ ... } Needs to have RIGHT or LEFT property with a value. Otherwise the UL will be out of the layout. I just added: right:0px; and it works fine.
Hey.
How do I choose between the different blog viewing options? At the moment it’s fixed on ‘blog – small preview images’ and I want it on ‘traditional’
Thanks
Jonty
Hi Jonty!
You should be able to just select this from the page’s template selector on the right sidebar of the page editor screen
And don’t be afraid to use our support ticket system over at http://makedesign.ticksy.com
Cheers! Brandon
Sorry I can’t see is that option on this theme?
Hi Jonty!
Try hitting your Screen Options tab in the top right of the screen on the page editor and turn the page template selector on
B
