so beautiful as usual…

Thanks Mabuc! I’m actually pretty excited about this one – got to try a lot of new stuff while returning to the WP core values that I think have gone missing in the wave of recent themes. Which isn’t to say over-the-top CMS themes are bad… just that this one’s a lot simpler and usable for the average user without compromising any of the power or flexibility that we’ve come to expect from premium themes. We’ll see though! So far it’s one of my personal favs after years of releasing here on TF. :P

Thanks Jacob! In nearly 4 years of releasing here… I think this is the first time I’ve been brave enough to risk a pink demo… Glad you like it! B

Good luck with sales.

Thanks WP! BTW – Saw your post on the forum last night about the new ZIP submission error and it helped a ton! ;) Brandon

Hi,

http://reason.makedesign.wpengine.com/2011/10/10/portfolio-post-7/

There may be a small bug in the slider. Home -> Porfolio -> 4 Column Portfolio -> First Portfolio item URL

BTW – Nice to see you back..

EDIT – Checked with both chrome(latest) and IE9 @ Windows7

Patched! Thanks for the catch – that’s from my firetest when I was trying to break stuff with bad values ;) Cheers! Brandon

I just bought it, looks wonderful, hopes I got that patched version, I literally just bought it about 20 mins ago. This theme looks like it rocks. I too usually do not buy with only 4 purchases, but it had EVERYTHING ( she thinks anyway ) that I was looking for. Hopes it will play nice with my scrollable thumbnail wordpress plugin too!

Sounds good Lady! FYI – I try to keep most support responses under 12 hours (usually less) – so just holler if you have a question (here or through my profile page contact form). I love helping you guys out and I helps me make the products better over time to have feedback of there’s any confusion.

Cheers! Brandon

2 questions:

1) I uploaded a slider, but I cannot see it. Can you please help? 2) How do I upload a custom Avatar for the Blog posts?

Thanks!!

Howdy Brianna!

1. What do ya mean by “uploaded a slider”. The homepage slider is all setup from the Theme Options > Slider Settings panel. The page sliders are controll from each individual page’s Skeleton Page Options panels.

2. Gravatar.com is the common service that WordPress uses. Start a free account and upload your avatar there – assigned to the same email address that you’re using for your WP user account :)

Cheers! Brandon

The website in question is hbfsource.com. Thanks!

Sure thing! Just posted a reply above ;) B

I’ve been through all of that, but my slider won’t display. What is your email address so I can send admin info for you to take a look?

Sure! Just shoot me a message from my profile page here :) B

While I realize this is a 960 based theme. How hard would it be to support 1140 using this theme with something like this?

http://www.onedesigns.com/freebies/a-1140px-16-columns-css-grid-system

Backward compatibility with a 960 grid is claimed.

Excellent question! Short answer – not yet; Long answer: That’s actually part of the 2.0 SuperSkeleton framework update that I’m working on for this next month.

I release an update with new features about once every week or two – The big “2.0” update has a ton of new stuff though that’ll benefit this theme, SuperSkeleton, Reaction and Shapeshifter 2 – and an extra wide CSS query is on the list of major new features :)

Cheers! Brandon

That’s probably the best response I could have hoped for! I might just take you at your word and buy it now to support this endeavor. Very exciting. :-)

A couple of questions though. I’ve seen some extra wide queries that only apply to the header / footer area. Will yours apply to the rest of the site elements such as the content / body?

How wide are you talking? An upper limit / max width of 2560? That’s how big my current res is anyway. It’d also be potentially awesome for the new iPad when it’s in landscape at 2048. Even though it may be fairly uncommon for the average visitor to have such a high resolution screen, have the ability to scale up to that is a dream.

Heya Electro! Sorry I missed this one yesterday afternoon – to follow up though – I’ll likely be aiming for support up to 1600 for starters… but if it turns out easy enough and stable enough, I might move up from there ;) B

Hey Brandon,

Great new theme! Wish you lots of sales.

:)

Thanks a ton bud! It’s appreciated! B

Great theme, just to let you know that the portfolio gallery display appears to be broken when selecting the filters on an iPad 2. You,ll see what I mean if you try.

Thanks for the heads up! I haven’t noticed any iPad / iPad 2 issues yet, but I’ll run another test right now to be extra sure. The demo itself seems to be under a lot of load – so it could simply be a page cache + server overload issue for the next hour until the views die down and my webhost compensates with extra capacity :) Either way, thanks! B

Wow Brandon, another creative theme from ya side again! I wish a good luck for huge sales for this blog magazine theme.

Thanks a ton system! That’s greatly appreciated buddy :) B

Very nice theme. Although in portfolio section, default layout, light-box is broken.
Nothing happens when you click on the thumbnail, and next and previous arrows just reload the current picture.
All in all, keep up the good work :)

MDNW

Checking into it for ya right now – I’m not seeing any broken plugins there though – Maybe it’s a caching issue? Or a server-over-limit thing on the demo itself? What URL are you spotting the bug on?

Thanks a ton dSKY! B

Beautiful minimalistic work… Can you put videos in the slider on the home page… You mentioned fully responsive video please elaborate…

Is this set up for vimeo ,youtube viddler self hosted etc?
MDNW
MDNW Author

Heya 100! Not in the slider, but you can launch videos from the slider via the lightbox. The videos themselves are responsive inside the slider though, so it breaks when you add them to a slider… plus, having 10 videos playing at once might not be the best way to go about it, haha. That said, you can play video inline in pages/posts though – and there’s some fancy code added in the theme that’ll make them responsive and work well on phones/tablets already built in :)

Cheers! Brandon

is there an xml file, I noticed in the option tree there is a ” reload xml ” button

there are some terms in there I am not familiar with and thought the xml may help

MDNW
MDNW Author

Heya Lady! Yep – inside the /option-tree/ folder there’s the theme-options.xml file. I uploaded a slightly different version just about 30 minutes ago that’ll be available for you to grab once the reviewers approve it. OR, you can grab it here and paste the file into the existing one on your theme folder : http://makedesign.wpengine.com/wp-content/themes/reason/option-tree/theme-options.xml

Cheers! Brandon

thanks for that, I had already made a post below before I saw your answer. gonna grab it and see if helps me, thanks very much

Woow, love it, beautiful work, congrats :)

Sure! Drop in this css snippet to your Theme Options > Styling Options > Custom CSS field:

.meta-space{display: none;}

Using Static HomePagesettings in reading, FllL Width template with HIDE HOMEPAGE TITLE , enabled but it is not hiding the homepage title. It will hide it wen choosing the dev sandboxed template. Also, has no idea where to add a slider, thew slider OPTIONS are indeed on the homepage settings, but where does the them pull the sliders from? I am 100% certain it is because I must be as dumb as a box of rocks, because I can see that the theme has a slider, but also there is no mention of how the sliders work in the documentation, that I can find. Will keep trudging along, hoping I figure it out. I really hope I do not have make a post for sliders, but just had the thought that this may indeed be a possibility.

saw your post above, saved the file as theme_options.xml. tried to run the wordpress importer, it said : Sorry, there has been an error. This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number

LeilasLass

I sent you an email with my login details. It is only a dev site for the moment. I figured out the logo btw, I had not noticed that the file url was not being used when “Insert Into Option Tree” was chosen, rather, it was using the attachment URL , so all is well in that area now.

I gave you 5 stars for the theme, because I just know,
once I get the ” hang ” of it and with your amazing help, this is going to be fabulous.

LeilasLass

Ok I think I have the pages imported, there was never an all done Have Fun, but most everything I would need to see how stuff works seems to be there. Gonna play about a bit, hopes this time when I choose the fullwidth template and tell it NOT to show the homepage title all will work.

EDIT :

Nope, selecting Hide The Page Title and choosing YES hide the title and then updating the page does not work. It still shows the title of the page. That is one very important thing that must not be there. Will keep trying stuff, but there are not many other options other than hide the title LOL
