Hello,
I am in love with this website design, and I am going to be purchasing it soon ,but is there a .zip file provided to install the theme on my wordpress account or am I not understanding the process to get this online?

Thanks for the interest in Reboot.
Yes there is an installable .zip file provided inside the main package .zip.
You can either upload it in .zip format from the WordPress dashboard, or you can unzip it and upload via FTP to your /themes/ folder, it’s up to you.

Ok, I just purchased the theme, what file (.zip) do i use to upload the theme to word press? I cant find any .zip file. Im on a Mac.

Ok, under the main folder (reboot package) i see these 5 folders:
demo xml documentation licensing psd reboot
They are all folders, I tried compressing the reboot folder to a zip file and upload that but word press would not upload it… is there anyway you could send me the .zip file? caserhome@live.com Thanks
OK, Figured it out. You have to open the reboot folder inside the main folder, select all the files inside that folder and create an Archive.zip file then upload it.

If I want to update the theme, do I have to simply replace the files via ftp oder do I have to reinstall the theme and restore the settings?

You can replace the files via FTP . But remember that if you have made any edits to any of the PHP /CSS files then these will get overwritten.
Like, anytime you make an update to your theme it is always wise to backup your existing theme folder, database, and Theme Options settings (just in case).

Sorry for the double post but I have an additional question / problem. If I set the latest blog entries to 8 for the homescreen, I get some strange ordering. I thought it has something to do with the amount of words in the blogpreview. So I downloaded the Advanced Excerpt plugin an minimized the words, but makes no difference.

This would involve editing some of the theme files, namely single.php (removing sidebar, removing call to the comments template etc..), and adjusting your style.css so the images can span full width of the page.

There are just the available Shortcodes that are mentioned in the documentation. There is not a Shortcode Builder as such if that’s what you are referring to.

You need to just upload the ‘Hanna’ folder to your /wp-content/themes/ folder.
You will find this when you unzip the hanna-package .zip file.

2.) If I were to create my own custom post type (+template) will I be able to directly use

Any chance you could give it a quick kick of the tyres to see on buddypress? That’s the main lynch pin for if I buy it or not…
Also, the colours, I see blue on the screenshot, but green on the demo, assuming this is completely easy to change (but only colourpicker on the theme itself is the light, dark, clean), would be cool to include a menu colour picker too if you’re so inclined
– not that this is swaying my decision in anyway – just thinking for future folks.
2.) is cool, I’ve built things with bootstrap recently so I’m used to all the code, cool I can just pop a template together and not have to worry about downloading anything from Git.
(buddypress + bbpress if possible).
HI, I just purchased this theme and have an issue. I (mistakenly) thought the slider would resize to the images loaded in it. The width is fine, but the height crops all my images. I’m a photographer and really need it to show my entire image. I have looked through the css with my limited knowledge and can’t figure out how to change these parameters. Can they be changed? If so how do I do it? Thanks for any help.

The slider does have dimensions that it crops the images to. This was a decision I made when building the theme. You can look at the functions.php file where you will find the settings for the crop dimensions for images used throughout the theme, including the homepage slider, and on portfolio pages. You can adjust, and increase the height for your images there.

You need to add to look in /js/jquery.flexslider-settings.js and add -
slideshowSpeed: 7000
to line 5.
The higher the number the slower the slider.

Hello. I just purchased this theme and in the process of setting things up. It looks like WP just updated and changed the way media is uploaded or something. I can’t seem to get the “upload images” in the portfolio section to work. It just hangs. Any ideas what to do?
