Hey redactor. Thank you for the restaurant theme, is what I was looking for. I’ve had a problem with some characters being displayed like “?, ? ? ? ? ?” etc. Do you know how to fix this?

You mean characters from posts? This have nothing to do with theme itself. Are you sure you had set the rite character encoding on your blog? (admin / settings / reading).

With other themes it was working well.
Themeforest converted them as question marks as you look up in my previous comment.
got it. is talk about cufon font limitation which doesn’t support special characters.

One of the reasons I bought this theme was because of the ad-banners. I have a Google-Adsense account and thought you could just paste the JS script (which I think you should ad). I didn’t realize you had to sell the ad space and manually do all of the work.
Anyhow, how can I the JS to all of the banners? I tried doing it on the header.php for the top and for some reason it wasn’t showing up. I even went to a couple of forums and asked how you can add JS on PHP but nothing seemed to work.
Also, I want to be able to add widgets on the food sections not just on the pages. I know someone asked the same question earlier (also think you should be able to do it).
I appreciate your feedback, I didn’t see where I could just E-mail you directly but I am sure others may want to know too.

thanks for purchasing, but the live demo of theme show clear the ads are banner images and the theme description show that also is talk about banners (in general when is talk about google adsense, is a special mention of that).
but, to place your js script in theme, is nothing that hard. is need just a minimum coding and WordPress knowledge. for instance, in header.php, replace the lines between 156 – 178 with your adsense 468×60 px banner code. assure yrself you place the js code inside of the “banner” div.
for the 200×125 px ad space, replace the lines between 21 – 54 with your adsense banner code (remember there is just 200px x 125px room). do the same for single.php, page.php, etc (see what code you replaced and look after it in the rest of pages).
if the layout get messed, that mean you deleted something wrong. remember that after changes you still need to check the option for show advertising from theme option.
about widgets, the update description mention clear that now you can add footer widgets to any page you want.

to avoid any confusion, theme option advertising have fields for path for images of each banner. not sure what mean for you “manual” in this context, but yes, if you want something is not covered by theme description (who is not sure about a thing, can put a question before to buy), course is need to make alterations.
Hello, a client of mine bought your theme “redminton” and asked to make some changes to the layout.
I write to you because i have some problems doingg the changes..
1) Full Width page: If i use the “full width page” template on my pages it doesn’t work how it should be for the images: http://www.heyzoom.net/demo/food/001/il-ristorante/la-storia/ If you go to this page you’ll see that the image above the text it is resized as if it was the default template.. how can i change that auto-resize to make the image fit the full width format?
2) Blog Main page: http://www.heyzoom.net/demo/food/001/eventi/ As you see i tried to do some changes with the sidebar but the perfect solution for me would be having a FULL WIDTH blog template.. as for the pages, can it be done? I simply want to show the posts without the sidebar.
3) Category page: I think this is the same as 2) because i’d like to have here too the full-width format without the sidebar.. i assume that all the category pages have the structure with the sidebar but i really don’t want it… can you help?

I hope you understand is a bit weird to offer free theme support for a third party service
1. the full width template is made for shortcode columns usage. if you want to remove the maxim-width set for images, delete the line 639 from layout.css
2, 3. yes, can be done, but course, you need to make changes to category template. you can use like example the full width page template.

This really is one awesome theme! A must have! Only thing I think it’s lacking for a restaurant theme is a menu page
does anyone know a good menu plugin so that I can incorporate the text menu into the theme

a custom post type feature for a menu page is on top of update list. anyway, and at this moment this can be done without to much headache. can be used the blog category template to build restaurant menu listings.

png, jpeg etc, it support all the images format. are you sure you had use a proper file path? like: images/logo.png ? course, you need to upload the logo into the images folder first.

i even tried to add the whole File URL and does not show the image, the rest of the photos i uploaded into the library (image folder) work fine in the rest of the site.

1. Can you edit the widgets that automatically show on this theme or is the only option to check off “no” to display original widgets?
Annoying problem… 2. The logo replacement is not working properly. Do you need to save it as a specific format? Does HTML links to the image work? Perhaps I’m doing something wrong…? Seems pretty basic, I just don’t know why it isn’t working.

1. not sure i understand the question. the custom widgets settings are driven from theme options. you can disable them also from there.
2. the logo replacement it work, it just need to set a correct path, see the documentation and example from field note. if still hv problems send me an email using the profile contact form with yr login data to take a look.

Sori again but i don’t know about what you are talking. Redminton have no class named “imageclass”. Please use the contact form from my profile and send me an email with link to yr website and explicit details (maybe a screnshot) to understand exactly what do you need and if is related to theme support.

Thank you for this theme. I was wondering if there were a way to make the paginator ignore a certain category. Say i didn’t want thumbnails showing up from a category of news. How would i go about removing them from the thumbnail paginations?

The only ways that thumbnails can be used are presented in demo. For what is in yr screenshot, you need to make serious theme alterations.

Having the same issue with the broken logo as a few before me. In which file can I open up in Dreamweaver could I specify it directly, or is there an option that can be created “click here to upload logo” like most themes?
