Oh made a mistake, it is not to do with the date. But I am only able to see 10 posts, and the other 4 if I click on previous posts.

Am I missing something?

I love this theme, but I’m having a major issue with the documentation right now and need some help. Please forgive me for asking what I’m sure is an amateurish question:

I’ve been going through the documentation trying to do everything “by the book”, but anywhere it says “Visit here”, nothing happens when I click the link. Are the links broken, or am I horribly untrained in the usage of Adobe Acrobat and thus need to change a setting somewhere to make links “active”?

Specifically what I’m trying to do right now is learn to use shortcodes so I can have columns for the content on my pages, but what appears to be linkable text to get that information does not in fact seem to be linkable.

Any ideas? Have I missed some really obvious thing?

Thanks a bunch, Miriam

Figured out the matter regarding blog post. Forgive me, I’m a noob. :)

However, if I wanted to change that top black banner to let say white, how would I go about that?

Also if I wanted to take away that facebook/twitter icons, how would I do that?

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks again. :)

Is there anyway to disable the lightbox overall without getting a thin blue line around the post box?

I’m thinking about purchasing this theme. How does it handle audio? Instead of video can it have a gallery of mp3’s? Thanks

Hi – Is there a way to expand the height of the box on the homepage / grid view so that the title / category links show in Classic mode? Couldn’t find height in the CSS .

Wow. Just wow. You would rather delete my comment than actually communicate with me. Just when I thought I couldn’t be more disappointed in this theme and its author.

Hi, I like your “reflex” to much. Can I add advertising frames to main page when im using grid clean? Also can I make grid clean my home page? And can I send to the user a link when they click on boxes? Thank u.

Hi, I’m setting up the theme—but when I have a post with a bulleted list . . . there are no bullets. Here’s a look at such a page http://easyscrapbookpages.com/scrapbook-childhood-photo-of-yourself/

I notice it’s calling for a bullet.gif that I don’t have anywhere in the download.

Thanks.

Seems like a very solid theme and I just read through ALL the support requests. I hope you have a lil time for a pre purchase question or 2. I am looking to buy the theme immediately but was just wondering a couple things. If other purchasers know these answers please feel free to chime in.

Does this theme support custom menus?

Is it possible to add a slider to the top of the homepage?

Can posts be excluded from blog? Or do all of them show up in the blog?

Can posts have a thumbnail, but no image when you get to the post?

Can there be more than one blog? ( one grid and one traditional)?

Is it possible to have infinite scroll vs pagination or previous posts?

What happens if no image is on the post (will it have a default image)?

Can the them have a static home page?

Heya SQ!

1. Yep – The header and footer use the WP menu system – you can create your own custom versions naturally ;)

2. Not right out of the box. That’s take some extra work on your part (it’s not an easy mod, so I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re a pretty confident dude with WP, JS, CSS and PHP ).

3. You can set the categories that show up on each blog page… so it’s pretty easy to pick what shows up and what doesn’t through category organization.

4. Yep.

5. Yep. Those are just page templates – you can have as many as you want.

6. Not right out of the box… basic pagination is included though.

7. Yes – you upload a default image to use as a placeholder ;)

8. Yep – absolutely – you’d set this from the Settings > Reading panel like any other theme :)

Cheers! B

Hey I am trying to go to your support site and the link is not working. The redirect seems to be not functioning. How do I load the sample content? I am sure you out line it there, but I cannot get to the link. Also the documentation does not speak to this.

Thanks

nm figured out the import thing… But the thumbnails and stuff are messed up on the import.

Ok I figured my last issue out as well… Sorry man. But I did discover a lil bug in the display. On safari and FF both on a mac. With Grid option “Clean” selected, “Show Module Titles” = No, “Show Module Count” = yes, and “Show Module Dates” = No. The module count is not visible until hover and is misplaced at the top and cut off. I can send a screenshot if you like?

But so far seems pretty solid so far. No real big complaints. Once I can gain access to your support site I am sure things will go smoother.

PS… Also when I turn “Show Module Dates” to yes, they are not aligned bottom in the classic view like the examples.

Hi!

Just installed the theme and love it so far!

Question…

Where is all the CSS located? I’m trying to change the color and size of the header. Where can I do that since the CSS file doesn’t really have any of the CSS in it? Or is it an option tree issue?

Thanks!

Hi! The CSS is all located in the /assets/stylesheets folder, but it’s usually best to locate the changes that you want make using the Firebug browser plugin and add them to the Custom CSS panel in the theme options folder :)

Thanks for the help! I’ve been making pretty steady progress but now I’m having another problem :(

So I’m trying to change the spacing and font within the css for the actual post pages and the h1, h2, h3 etc tags. What I’m finding is that no alterations that I’m making to the font, size of it, and especially the line height are having any effect on the look. It just stays the same as if there is css or php somewhere that’s constantly over riding the custom changes I’m making in the core.css file.

How can I change this so that I can alter everything for a custom look the way I need to?

Thank again! :)

Hi, I would like to buy this theme for my product review website. Is the Reflex theme suitable for a website based on product review?

I really like the grid homepage and would like my homepage to look like this. Can I use the grid page on other pages as well, not just the homepage?

Many thanks!

Leyla

Sure Leyla – It’s also a page template with category filters, so you can use it for other pages as well ;) B

Thank you, I have now purchased :-) However, I am having just one teeny, tiny problem if you have 2 minutes to help me at all?

I want to set the landing page as the grid blog home page for all my categories (that show up at the top) and within those category pages, I want to add the product reviews. So for example:

The grid blog home (landing) will show: “Arts and Crafts” cat, “Toys” cat etc. When the user clicks on one of those categories, they will come to a grid blog page showing the product review post, which will be just a normal template. I’m a newbie, so would really appreciate the help. My website is www.mdproductreviews.com. Thanks again for your help

Hey Brandon,

Another small issue. How can I stop the custom backgrounds on each post from over riding the backgrounds across the entire site? I want each post to have it’s own custom background and the rest of the site to have the background I set in the theme options.

How can I do this in the code?

Thanks! :)

Hi Brandon,

Is there way to disable vGrid and load all posts without using it? I’m gonna implement a infinite scroll to the theme but vGrid is full Chinese and I really can’t understand a word from developer’s blog post even using google translate.

I’ve deleted vgrid js files from functions.php and also reflex.js but no posts are showing up.

By the way your link to your forums ain’t working.

Hi,

Just wondering if it was possible to auto-pull Vimeo description and comments into the regular portfolio, preferably directly into the post and categories or tags.

Thanks and great work with the theme

Heya Robin!

Wish there was a way to do this… unfortunately, there’s not a way that I’m aware of :)
