To set up the homepage slide:

1.) Go to “Pages > Add New” and select “Homepage” from the “Template” selection on the right side of the page to create the homepage

2.) Go to “Appearance > Theme Options > Home Settings” and make sure “Display Slideshow” is ticked

3.) In the field below add the following:

[slideshow]
[slide image_url="http://website.com/slide1.jpg"]
[slide image_url="http://website.com/slide2.jpg"]
[slide image_url="http://website.com/slide3.jpg"]
[/slideshow]

And to setup the blocks on the homepage under the slideshow:

1.) Go to “Appearance > Theme Options > Home Settings”

2.) Enter your content in the “Block Title 1”, “Block Content 1”, etc fields.

It sounds like something has gone wrong with your WP install, I’d recommend:

1.) Re-install WordPress using the latest version downloaded from http://wordpress.org

2.) Re-install the latest version of Relief theme 1.6.7

Open “Relief/functions/shortcodes/sponsors.php” and change line 17 from:

$output .= '<a href="' . $atts['link_url'] . '">';
</a>

To:

$output .= '<a target="_blank" href="' . $atts['link_url'] . '">';
</a>

I found it thanks a bunch. I still have more questions though.

1. How do I change the font in the Blocks on the homepage under the slideshow

2. How do I make the sponsor images auto scroll

3. Is there any way to unhide past events?

4. I’m using the dark blue background but I want to change it to dark pink. What colors are used in the dark blue them for the following

a – Top header (which includes the social icon bar)

b – Middle header (where the logo is)

c – Menu Bar (which shows the pages bar)

d – Bottom (Slider)

e – Footer

5. How do I put a twitter and facebook widget in the footer and sidebar

6. Is it possible to have the menu field also search the pages of the site instead of just the blog and events posts?

7. Can I change the “posted on” font under the Blog post title, and removed “posted by Admin”?

8. I’ve created a gallery but cannot get the photo captions to show either underneath the photo or when you hover over it.

9.How do I get all the Events to show when I click on the Events pull down menu

To enable this go login to your WordPress dashboard and go to “Appearance > Theme Options > Photo Settings” and tick “Display Lightbox as an Album”.

Go to “Settings > Reading” and click “A Static Page” and select your homepage from the “Frontpage” selection.
