In the live preview you have this javascript slide show that shows fairly large images to the left of the headline in the “home” section of the page.
What widget should I use to get that on my page? I tried putting everything on to test it and none of them had that effect. There’s just a massive empty box.
Also the ad widget doesn’t work at all, it’s just empty even if you put content in the box. You could get around this by adding an arbitrary widget but I found it strange that your solution didn’t work at all.

Ok fair enough, I wasn’t expecting it to be that weird but it is working now. Is your menu system the same as Wordpress too?
I never setup Wordpress before and your documentation is a bit sparse. Basically the end result I’m looking for is being able to have menus which when clicked load a list of articles based on a certain category or tag (either or is fine with me). This should be doable without doing anything crazy right?

Yes, this theme uses the built-in custom menu feature that comes with Wordpress. There is a link in the documentation to a Wordpress tutorial on how to fully use this feature. This will guide you through setting up the menus based on category or even a custom URL (which you can use to point to a tag archive, which is what you are looking for).

I am interested in your theme. I just have a few questions though.
In the area below featured news, you have 2 main news categories in a single row which is MLB and Soccer. Is it possible to add more than 2 categories? Lets say I want to add another 4 news categories. That would make it 3 rows of news. Is it possible?
I also would like to increase the number of news which appears below the thumbnail. Currently its 2 news items only. Can I increase it to more than 2?

That area with the two categories is a widget, so you can add as many of those widgets to the homepage as you’d like. And you can even control how many links appear below the thumbnail as well
It’s all customizable within the widget.

This theme comes with two different ad units: a 728×90 leaderboard and a 300×250 sidebar ad unit. You can ad as many 300×250 sidebar ad units as you’d like in the sidebar, but each ad unit can only display one ad code. So, if you want to place more than one ad in each ad unit, you will have to use a third party program like Google DFP and place that ad code into the ad unit.

Very much enjoying the theme. Was just wondering if the site is capable of supporting multiple home carousel widgets. I have tried to include a second one (called “Test Carousel” on the homepage) and have set it up in exactly the same manner as the one right above it (“Latest News”) that displays the posts properly with thumbnails/headlines. As with the working one, I have used the proper tag (in this case tagging four posts with “test” in the same way I did in the others with “news”).
I was hoping to include two or three carousels stacked atop one another, but looking like this won’t work. Or am I doing something wrong?

This was done using the default Text Widget that comes with Wordpress.
I figured it was done using the Text Widget, but simply pasting in the URL wasn’t sufficient. So I went to Youtube and pasted in their embed code and that worked perfectly. Thank you!
Now if only we could figure out PHP syntax to limit the queries of the Tabs widget to, say, 30 days, I’d be perfectly happy with this theme.

This theme does not have an option to use different sidebars on different pages, but I would recommend using Section Widget which may help with what you are looking for.

I checked widget-ad.php and $defaults is indeed not defined anywhere.

I have bought this excellent theme yesterday. I own 2 websites related to soccer and the worldcup 2014: www.mundial14.es and www.coupedumonde2014.be The first one is dedicated to the Spanish national football team and the second one to the Belgian one. I installed the theme right after purchasing it on the Spanish website and it worked out perfectly. I did the same with the Belgian one and had hard times to make the slideshow working. Indeed, the slideshow does not appear if I browse the website under chrome and firefox, however, it appears if I check the website through iexplorer … How come? I am desperate as I spent hours to try to sort it out and I do not have any solution remaining to figure out what’s the matter. Help please.
