Hi there!

I’m REALLY interested in your theme, but I have 2 questions.

1. Is it responsive? (I’m sorry if you said that somewhere already and I missed it!)

2. I know that this was meant to work with Easy Digital Downloads, but if I wanted to use WooCommerce instead, would it be compatible?

Thank you very much! :D

designcrumbs

1) No, it’s not responsive. I currently have no plans to make it responsive either.

2) I technically would be work, but there are several things in the theme that are specifically for EDD. However, there is a version called Stored that works with Cart66.

Okay, thank you! :)

HELP! Add To Cart or Buy Now Buttons Will Not Shop when logged out – only when logged in as admin – VERY FRUSTRATING!

HELP! I have checked every thing I can and when I log out of admin and look at any product there is no buy now or add to cart buttons. Log back in and presto.

How can I get them to appear when not logged in as an admin like in the demo? Site is located at http://verticalmail.net/shop/

PS the disable button output in not checked on the bottom of any products

Thanks!

This isn’t an issue with the theme, it’s with the plugin. Try the support forum at http://easydigitaldownloads.com.

I found it > it was WPSC – I uninstalled and provided instructions in the forum – it was installed by default on my server – also can you message me about customization.

Thanks

Hi designcrumbs,

is it possible to display video to sell instead of pictures ? thank you and sorry for my bad english…

designcrumbs

Not in the same spot as the featured image. You could post it right in the content though.

is it possible that user can submit their product to sell?

designcrumbs

Not in the theme, but there’s an extension for Easy Digital Downloads that does this, and then another to pay out commission to those users.

Hello i would like to buy this template , i like to add a mp3 files , but please explain your template having a any player ,

designcrumbs

An MP3 player is available as an extension to Easy Digital Downloads. The theme simply styles the look of Easy Digital Downloads, it doesn’t include any functionality.

Hi,

I have bought the restored theme a while ago which was made for EDD users. I have some extensions from EDD, like FES and Commissions. The problem is that some buttons are not working since the new update was released. I have switched to twenty thirteen theme and it worked. I would like know if you can solve this, because I guess that it is because of the theme

Thanks :)

designcrumbs

Hmmm. This is the first I’ve heard of it. I’ll get with the guys over at EDD, look into it, and release an update if necessary

And if you could open a thread at http://support.designcrumbs.com that would be great.

Default-user

sure, nor problem, I will make right now

Can it display related products on single product page? does it support related products plugin?

designcrumbs

There’s nothing for that built into the theme, and the theme would support any plugin, however this is not a widgetized area on product pages (yet).

Default-user

Thanks for reply. But seems all related plugin not support custom types… will you consider add this feature?

designcrumbs

It’s definitely on my list. But note that the custom post types are part of the Easy Digital Downloads plugin, and not part of the ReStored theme.

hi bro how the update the site themes without any changes thanks and looking for your fast response.

designcrumbs

Those are still there. I didn’t remove those. They’re still in the demo: http://themes.designcrumbs.com/restored/products/campaign-wp-theme/

o i see so if i update my site the featured thumbnails still remain?

designcrumbs

That’s correct.

On product pages, I’d like to show recent posts from the blog in the sidebar. Is that possible?

athemez

Thanks.

I’d be offering free WordPress themes to download.

Like this: http://themes.designcrumbs.com/restored/products/stored-wp-theme/

But I’d need a demo link. Would that be easy to add? As a button that matched the theme and fit in with the layout?

athemez

PS I’m not a theme developer myself, hence the question.

designcrumbs

Sorry for the delay!

Well, “easy” is a relative term. You’d defiantly have to code it in yourself, as there’s nothing in the theme for additional buttons. It’s just going to come down to how you want to do that. Placing it in the WP editor would be easiest.

Quick questions after reading plenty of comments :-)

- can I define the products shown on the main page? e.g. I want to create “featured” products and only show those on the first page?

- I will have a pretty long list 50+ on the dropdown menu so I am just wondering how that will behave… I have also noticed that the cells for the menu are rather tall, I imagine the height can be reduced, but just want to confirm

thanks in advance

1) Not out of the box. It’s set up to display the latest products. You’d need to customize the theme if you want to display only a specific category (which, would be a ‘featured’ category from what you’re saying).

2) Oh boy. Well, first off I would recommend NOT doing that just from a UI perspective. Break them into smaller sections and you can have flyouts on the drop down. So 5 lists of 10 or something. BUT, if you did have all of them, the page will scroll as you go down the last if you have the sticky header shut off (which is an option). And yes, you could make those cells smaller, but you’d have to do so through the CSS.

And any changes that you make, I suggest doing through a child theme. A starter child theme is included with the download.

Default-user

Thanks, very clear answers, very much appreciated…

1- OK will look into that…

2- I’ll think about a workaround for the dropdown menu… I agree with you having 50+ items is not really an option. Will probably display the top items plus a link to a “sitemap” or a “view all” page which will work like an index to begin with…

Sounds good. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Can this be used to sell digital images in various sizes, with Easy Digital Downloads?

designcrumbs

I’m shooting for the end of January at the latest. I can’t make any promises though.

Default-user

I might hang on for that then :-)

designcrumbs

Sounds good!

Hi, general (pre sale) question: I saw that just 2 days ago you updated the theme to 1.6 At the moment EDD is version 1.9 What are the chances for future conflicts (between ReStored & EDD) in case that EDD with change things? Will you always adapt for latest EDD version?

Default-user

OK, on the recent few days i played with the theme and I realy like it. good job. I even manage to create a “related products’ in the product page. Now I have an SEO related question: why I see in the browser windows the site name on ALL of the pages – blog posts, pages, product pages? When the user visit the product page – how can I set the page title to the product name? When the user visit a blog post – how can I set the page title to the post title? thanks

Default-user

another question: at the moment the purchase button located on the right side of the product page. is it possible (with a short code or other way) to add this button below the content area as well?

designcrumbs

For SEO, I recommend going with a plugin such as All-In-One SEO or Yoast SEO. That’s really best practice, you don’t want to tie everything to the theme itself.

For the purchase button… Yes you can do that, but you need to take a line of code out of the theme. We deliberately strip it out.

You should make these changes through a child theme. The download file included a child theme with it, I recommend you install the child theme and make that your active theme. You can learn more about that here.

In includes/edd-compatibility.php you’ll see the last few lines are

// remove the automatic purchase link EDD pre 1.1 remove_filter('the_content', 'edd_append_purchase_link'); // remove the automatic purchase link EDD >= 1.1 remove_filter('edd_after_download_content', 'edd_append_purchase_link');

That’s stripping the purchase button out so they’re not duplicated. You can remove those.

If you need any more help, please open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com

Hi, nice theme :) a quick question for this theme. Can we show comments on product detail page?

designcrumbs

Yup! That’s an option you can set in the Theme Options panel.

Nice job! I want to buy your theme for a movie site. But I did not see any videos in your demo… Is it possible to sell movies and have the trailers in the product detail page? Thx!

designcrumbs

You can’t put it in where the images are, but you can put it in the text. That’s basic WordPress functionality. See this: http://dcrmbs.com/boEJ

Does that make sense?

Default-user

Perfect! Thanks!

designcrumbs

Sure thing!

some questions: 1. is there thank’s page 2. is there ability to search with filter 3. is there ability to list the items and also grid view 4. is there ability to comments on the item 5. is that theme responsive

designcrumbs

1) Yes.

2) There’s search, but it’s not filter able.

3) There are archive pages for any categories or taxonomies downloads have. Is that what you mean?

4) Yes.

5) No, it is not responsive.

Hey, Any simple way to make the theme to be responsive?

Thanks

designcrumbs

Short answer: No.

If it was simple, I’d have done it by now ;) . To really do it correctly, I’m looking at a solid 8 hours of work.

Pre-sale question:

Will this theme work for a membership site? For example, I want to launch a membership site for PLR products.

For example, free members – restriicted to 5 downloads per day. Trial members- Pay $1 for 7 day trial and then recurring payments of $20 per month. During trial users have unlimited access to all products.

3rd option – User can pay $100 for lifetime membership.

Can I make this work with this theme? Would it be easy to accomplish this?

Looking forward to hearing from you as I am anxious to proceed with my project.

Thanks,

designcrumbs

Hi there,

There’s nothing like that built into the theme by default but you should be able to accomplish that using the Restrict Content Pro plugin: https://pippinsplugins.com/restrict-content-pro-premium-content-plugin/.
