This theme looks cool. However, it only works correctly in firefox. When I open the local file (something like: file:///C:/Users/ealshabaan/Desktop/metro-html/index.html) in firefox it works fine but in chrome or IE it seems that the page does not get linked with .css files!
I bought this theme to be used in a phone gap application but it also dispaly items without style in the eclips internet browser
Hey, thanks. Actually that is because of the use of LESS styling framework, it works with a server perfectly. I recommend you use wamp (http://www.wampserver.com/en/) or a similar server setup to test either normal or phonegap applications. Less.js browser script currently won’t work if you’re using Chrome and the path to your page starts with “file:///” due to a known Chrome issue.
Alternately, you can also use compiled LESS code (using WinLess or SimpLESS). That should do.

This is an IIS issue, it does not detect ’.less’ extension as it’s not authorized in your configuration. Please rename the file from style.less to style.css (also reflect that in the file reference: <link> tag). Or just download the updated code, I have done it.

Since few people have issue with the .less files, do you have a version of this theme with regular .css files only? Or at least do you have just the .css files without the LESS thingy?

Dear, Please send me a personal message and I will send you the files. There’s no issue actually, the website runs on a little Ajax so it basically needs a server setup like wamp/mamp However I can send you normal CSS immediately. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Great theme.
I bought it, but have some troubles with forms. If I add forms to pages, the submit does not work. Nothing happens when it is clicked on. Any ideas?

The forms are all working but they work on AJAX , by default.
The minimum requirement for a form is that you additionally place a div with classname ‘successMessage’ where the result of the submission will appear.
Example:
The ’.successMessage’ will show up on successful submission, and disappear after a while.

I have a search field on page 1.php. When a user enters a query and clicks on submit, he will be taken to page 2.php where the results are shown.
Unfortunately, these forms are not working, not even with the class. Once the button is clicked nothing happens. If I place the class on the same page as the form, only the message appears, but users are not taken to the next page.
Yes rianvisser, the message appears and that’s because the response is returned via AJAX and hence the user will not be taken to the next page.

You said its phonegap compatible . I spent 5 hours working on this and now i try it says Phonegap DOES NOT support PHP unless it server side. My whole aim was to keep the files at the local device so internet is not required to open the app at all times and slow internet wont affect the app.
now please advise me what to do i need to publish this ASAP as a native app , i cannot sit and write the whole code again. either tell me how to convert to HMTL fast or tell me another solution cause as far as i know PHP cant sit in phonegap unless is jsut visist an online website.

I figure it is your first Phonegap application
PHP is a server-side language, Phonegap is a client-side application.
I have packaged both PHP & HTML with the sourcecode, you had to choose the HTML package as that is the client-language version.

I had used the code for my previous template (Bolt), for this one I somehow skipped it.
However, since I have built upon Mobile Boilerplate, a simpler way you could achieve this is
