I’m guessing this is only happening with headings and titles? If so, it’s because those characters are not included in the Cufon font replacement file. You need to recreate the file with these glyphs.

There are detailed instructions on how to do this in the help document. It’s right at the beginning of the document, the section is titled “Cufon – font replacement”.

You are perfectly right – thanks! Silly me, I only tried the headlines. And its not a big job to make them manually if I do not find out of the instructions, but I will try.

Try removing the demo code. It’s the section of code in the head labeled “Demo Only”. That code is used to do the dynamic skin switching and is activating the default skin when it loads unless it detects a cookie.

If you want the skin switching still functional but a different default skin, change the default skin number near the end of the demo.js file to the number of your desired default skin.

Well, I’m starting to consider it. I’ve been getting more requests so I’ll look into scheduling some time to work on this. No guarantees…

The truth is this is my favorite design so far, and although it’s not my most popular I think I would really like to use it for a WordPress site myself.

I’m still hoping to create a WP version. I have not started or had time to work on it yet.

The color on the left (black on the default sample skin) is customizable. Try clicking on some of the skin color options (the small color squares on the bottom left) and changing the design to get an idea of what you can do with the style. This can be any color you want, including white to match the main background color. In other words, you don’t have to keep it if you don’t want it.

I really do want to make this a WordPress theme, as I’ve said before it’s my personal favorite of all my designs. Right now I have other obligations keeping me from having the time to work on it. I started refining the custom slide show on the home page and gallery pages to be more configurable which is a prerequisite for the WordPress version. Hopefully when those are done I’ll have the time to begin the WordPress conversion as well.

Unfortunately the plan to create a WordPress version didn’t work out. I still hope to do it at some point in the future but it’s not in the immediate plans any longer.

There was a special circumstance that was going to make it possible to create the WordPress version and unfortunately it didn’t work out. I was testing the possibility of working with a partner, hoping to make more themes and this conversion was the demo project to see how well we worked together. He had a big opportunity presented to him just before (the very week) we began the project. It was one of those things you can’t pass up and while I was disappointed I completely understand his decision.

Right now I don’t see this being converted to WordPress. It’s still one of my favorites.

Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it. I’ll give this some more thought. I wouldn’t do an exact replica for a WP version at this point but maybe a modified or updated variation on the design that keeps the same feel.

Only Salutation and Mingle have the Layout Manager currently.
