A noob question again: where i can upload my slide for make a slider, in media fils in dashbord?, how it works?

I’m new with Wordpress custom themes and I have a question regarding the responsive design. I was able to use this template for my test site (which I love), but when I browse the website on my mobile phone and ipad, the design is not formatted to each device. I really love this theme but I’m running into a few problems. When I create more pages, and then I add them to the home settings menu…when I live preview my site nothing is there but a small cover image. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8080/8400571882_74c67a6898_b.jpg
No other pages display in the preview even though I’ve added them to the home settings menu. Is this a menu problem? I’ve read through the setup navigation doc and I’m not clear on adding menus still.

Now the problem is that there is nothing but the footer below my home page. The Contact and Why Ryan Wright pages are not showing up. If you click on the menus, they will show up but it’s not one scrolling page. What am I doing wrong? http://ryanwrightweddings.com

Thank you! Last question, when I try to add a background image to the home page should I use the image frame shortcode? When I use the “add background image” I add the image, select cover and I check “fix bg image*...then I preview and it’s only a small portion of the image.
You want to dd it on the page with quote right? Click on the small edit button( it should be on the left side of the screen when you’re on the section you want to edit), and then upload the image, select cover and check fixed.
I have one question for the maker, can this be uploaded to a hosted wordpress? I have not uploaded themes before so I need to know. Thanks!
Hi LukeSinclair, you can’t upload custom themes to wordpress.com hosted blog. You have to get a ‘premium’ Hosting in order to do it.

Gallery is not working as I’d expect and when first loading the Rev slider looks great but the column with the content is not filling screen – it remains too narrow at first until I click something.

1 – I can’t get my logo to upload/overwrite yours, I have tried both png and jpg, tested the logo file on other themes (it is fine), tried Chrome and Safari browsers to upload, and get this error: #next_pages_container { width: 5px; hight: 5px; position: absolute; top: -100px; left: -100px; z-index: 2147483647 !important; } or an icon with a question mark
2 – Certain pages just aren’t showing up when you scroll the main page, although they are shown in the menu. (Books)
3 – I know it must be simple and obvious, just can’t get a home image to show up – tried the “feature image”, “custom styles – custom background image” and slider (although I want it to be a static image)

Great theme! Can the thumbnail image for a portfolio item be different from the portfolio item itself? i.e. I would like to have the thumbnail not appear in the portfolio detail page. Also, can the portfolio detail page display images one on top of the other? Thanks
Hi yogographics and thanks, yes you can add thumbnail and for an example one portfolio slider item so only slide image will appear on the single item.

I just purchased this theme, attempted to install it like any other wordpress theme, and it has failed twice. I attempted installing it via wordpress… it crashed my site. I then had to delete it manually in my ftp. Once I got my site up and running again I installed the theme via ftp. Yet again, it crashed my site. Please instruct me on how I can get this theme installed. Thank you!

No, it simply blanks out white when I try to activate it.
That’s pretty unusual. Try updating/re-installing your wordpress and disable plugins(that are not included in theme). If that fails send me you wordpress login details as well as FTP client details so i can try and fix it.

No, do you get some error? Also make sure to check the ‘Enable Maintenance Mode’
yes all other maintenance option are good but no timecode it s write : NaN (days) Nan ( hour….. etc)

Can you tell me where in the code the @media is for the navigation. I want to set it so that when it reaches a certain resolution it reduces in size. Currently around the 575px mark the navigation gets cut off
You’ll find it in the css/mquery.css It’s called ’.navigation select’
one last question. loading the google fonts. You say to upload a line of code and name, Could you please be more specific. On the google webfont site there is 3 options. What exactly do I select.
To load them(input one) use ‘Roboto+Condensed’ and to use them (input two) use ‘Roboto Condensed’.
I mean adding the google fonts to the site. Exactly what code am i to take from the google webfont website.

Hi, go to tools > import >wordpress and upload xml file. After go to theme options > backup > and paste the content from the .txt file.

Hi muzamzam, Thanks. To make the gallery first you need to make the gallery item(gallery > add new). After create a new page (Pages > Add new) and select ‘Gallery Template’ as template.

Hello, Great theme!! I’m incorporating many of the great features in my website. Sorry to be a bother, but just a few questions: 1) How can I change the height of the header block? The header re-sizes depending on the size of the logo and it seems to create lots of white space. 2) I understand this is a single-page theme, but when you create and link to a page that is not on the main page (example: your shortcode page on the demo website), then none of the links in the menu will take you back to the main page. Is there any possible way to make this work? I am worried that people on my site will get lost in the navigation if I have menu links that don’t do anything.

Hi dpolito24, thanks a lot. At this stage you’re either required to reduce the size of the logo or add custom css(under theme options > general settings > custom css). I can pass you the list of elements you’ll need to edit if you wish.
As for navigation issue, i’m working on the solution.
Ok, got it. Thanks for the quick reply! I actually just removed the logo altogether and put a transparent logo as a layer on the pictures of the slider. That works for me for now.
Good news about the navigation issue. I hardcoded the link in the menu as a workaround for now (instead of using #page, I use www.my_url/#page). That works “ok” but the consequences are the homepage doesn’t scroll anymore, it jumps, and when navigating from another page, it takes you back to the main page just not the correct section until you click the menu item again. No big deal, but let me know when you have a different/better solution!
