Any chance to get the navigation open o the same side like the menu button?
A back to portfolio button on image slider?
thanks for the suggestion, we will add the ability to choose the menu panel position and a back to portfolio link in the next theme update!
THX, i hope soon, i want to buy this great thene!!
Nice Design, GLWS
Great Theme!Good luck!
As johannes1000 says. It’s not relevant for the user to drag the mouse all over the screen to navigate. That’s just unnecessary.
Good job with the design.
as said to johannes1000 we will add the ability to choose the menu panel position and a back to portfolio link in the next theme update.
Fabulous theme! Is it possible to add a random image for the homepage? So it can change when people revisit de website.
Or maybe adding a slideshow with a nice fade effect…
thanks for the suggestions, we will consider to add these features in a future theme update!
fabulous design! I assume video support is only for the galleries and not for the opening (home) image, right?
videos full-screen are supported on Showcase page template and single work, we’re considering to extend this support also on standard page (like the one used for the home page) in the next theme update.
Excellent! That would be the decisive factor for our next project… Thanks for the speedy reply!
an updated version of the theme with the video support for the header and many other features is on its way for approval on ThemeForest and will be available soon!
Many thanks – got it!
This looks good, but clicking on “menu” and having the navigation appear to the left side of the screen is incredibly annoying. Why not just let it slide in from the same side as the menu button?
we will add the ability to choose the menu panel position and a back to portfolio link in the next theme update!
Is it possible to replace the logo text with a logo image?
sure you can add a logo (with also a retina version) from the admin panel.
Thanks guys… Does it allow for the over state change as the text logo does?
yes, the effect for the logo (image or text) is the same, you have also the ability to choose the logo position (left, right or center).
This is simply stunning! do you have any examples of portrait scale images and how they look in the galleries? The Fullscreen thing is beautiful but the images we are considering range in layout. Thanks
you can use image with different ratios. The portfolio and the photogallery page templates come with an option that allow you to choose if you want to use thumbnails that are fixed or variable in height.
For example, the portfolio page with fixed height thumbnails would look like this: http://thehappybit.com/demo/rockford/portfolio/
and the portfolio with the same setup but with variable height thumbnails would be this: http://thehappybit.com/demo/rockford/portfolio-variable-height/
Talking about the single portfolio item, you can take a look here: http://thehappybit.com/demo/rockford/works/work-2/
This particular work features images with different ratios. All of these images are stretched to full screen by default. When you click on the “eye” icon (or press the spacebar key on your keyboard) and switch to the “distraction free” mode (with slide controls and optional images caption only) you’ll then be able to click on the “double arrows” icon and fit these images to their original ratio.
This mode is conceived to allow the photographer to create a clean browsable album without unnecessary clutter, with the focus on the most important thing, which means the images.
We will soon create a video that covers all of the major features of the theme. In the meanwhile, you can already take a look at the available videos here http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRcW-as7a7gAnFsXGh5E4K9MFrgsTD17U
Thank you SO much for taking the time to reply to all of this – You will have anothe rpurchase very soon – it looks wonderful. Thanks
Duplicate – sorry
Dittio what charlie4282 said. I’d like to see some options for galleries with mixed layouts , portrait and landscape. Also, do all the gallery images and options have to show ‘full screen?
One other question. When I select a category the view it loads a new page with the ill screen image. I then have to click the ‘rye’ at the bottom to actually view it. Seems unnecessary to have to take this extra step a little confusing. Why is this extra step necessary?
as replied to charlie4282, you can use image with different ratios. The portfolio and the photogallery page templates come with an option that allow you to choose if you want to use thumbnails that are fixed or variable in height.
In the single work when you click on the “eye” icon (or press the spacebar key on your keyboard) you’ll switch to the “distraction free” mode (with slide controls and optional images caption only), this mode is conceived to allow the photographer to create a clean browsable album without unnecessary clutter, with the focus on the most important thing, which means the images.
i agree with gohereo…video on the home landing would make this theme go from awesome to incredible! will purchase once home video is available
an updated version of the theme with the video support for the header and many other features is on its way for approval on ThemeForest and will be available soon! stay tuned!
such great news….can’t wait to purchase this theme!
Thank you, we really appreciate it
Very good work! Good luck
How are the fonts sourced? Are they Google fonts? How many choices are there?
you can use fonts from Google, Typekit, External web services (Fonts.com, FontDeck …) or upload your custom font created on FontSquirrel, we will create a quick feature video soon.
Ah! Great theme! Does it come with demo content?
sure the dummy content (with also images) is included in the main package, and we have a new feature that allow you to quickly remove the dummy content imported ( removing all the dummy or choosing from: media library, posts, pages, works)
Fantastic, I plan to purchase within the next few moments!
5 Stars! Absolute well built theme! Easy and would recommend to anyone.
Is there an option to fit the images to their original ratio by default in the single portfolio item?
not yet, the images can be fitted only when you’re in the “distraction free” mode, but we can consider to add an option for this behaviour in a future theme update, thanks for the suggestion.
Awesome, hope it’ll come very soon with the homepage slider or random image on the homepage, so I can finally buy your theme.
Is there a way to have thumbnails and album links accessible in the footer of a full screen image (http://thehappybit.com/demo/rockford/portfolio/showcase-page/) ?
In the demo if a user is looking at an image and wants to skip to another image that caught their eye on the thumbnails page OR wants to explore another album, they must click the Menu in the upper right, go over to the left to select the portfolio page and then select a new thumbnail or album.
If the footer contained the categories and thumbnails for the images within current album, it would make that process a lot easier.
we’ve already planned a similar feature to be included in a future theme update, anyway thank you for the suggestion
Could You please let me know the source of the big bold oblique font we see on the demo?
Playfair Display on Google fonts.
Can you tell me what typography do you used in titles and body text?
we’ve used Playfair Display, Montserrat and Lato from Google fonts.
Very cool. A few things – I noticed that there when scrolling with my magic mouse there seems to be a lot of extra inertia and it really throws me (& the user) off. Is that something I could alter so it scrolls at a standard pace with normal inertia? Also, maybe it’s just a glitch in the demo (or just my browser) but when I click to expand the footer menu it will not close again for me on the second click. What’s the deal with that? Thanks!
this is a normal behaviour of the nicescroll plugin, that can be obviously customized quickly or disabled.
The Footer sidebar panel can be opened and closed by clicking on the same button on the bottom right corner, on which browser are you exeriencing issues? have you tried to browse the theme without the top bar? Let us know!
