My site preference manager is broken. I have had this problem before and tried to get help with it. If I don’t want to see post meta in blog view, unchecking “post meta” options does nothing. In addition, when someone clicks the image in portfolio view mode, it opens the image in a light box instead of linking to the post. I have tried unchecking “open image in lightbox” and it does nothing.

I currently have the category set to portfolio so you can see that clicking the image does nothing. I will have the category mode to blog view and that’s where I will see all the meta, even with the meta unchecked in site preferences.

I’ve bought multiple licenses from you guys and I don’t have any issues on my other websites. Please help.

I will do that within the next 5 minutes. Sorry, I mean that when someone clicks the photo, I need it to link to the page and NOT open it up in a lightbox. Regardless of that issue, whatever I change in the site preferences do not work. In addition to showing post meta when it is NOT clicked in site preferences. Thank you for looking into it.

Any luck with this?

I have read through every post you put on there about how to setup a blog. Many people ask how to do it and you say see the documentation. The documentation does not tell you how to set it up.

It just shows screen shoots how to add things to the post title / meta. You should have made a YouTube video showing how to do it because it is very counter intuitive. I am very disappointed with this theme. I wish I could get my money back.

Hi there!

I am really sorry to hear that you are having a hard time setting up the blog. I would love to help you, but I don’t know the point where you are now. If you could send us your wp-login using the private tool located below in my signature I could then peak into your installation. Just paste the generated private ticket ID back here so I can connect the two.

But as a general tip, you should just assign all blog posts into one category, call it for example “Blog”. Then add a Category Link to your menu (select your newly created “Blog” category). Then you can set options in the Site Preferences panel under the “Blog” category or around there.

Hope this helps, if not please provide us with that login and/or more information.

Thanks and cheers! :)

Hi

I just updated my old wordpress with your theme and I suppose the rockwell 1.7.1 was not compatible the new 4.2.2. WP but the theme just crashed. I downloaded the actual version of rockwell and copy in the theme folder.

After I activated that within WP ADMIN most of my content came back with some formating/settings and a completely “default” homepage without any of my content. www.realtimecgi.com

1. what kind of file I should copy from the old theme folder to get back my post and category formats. (the contents is there)

2. what kind of file I should copy from the old theme folder to get back my home page content and formats.

3. The Theme Options is completely inactive. I am not able to change anything, the “Save Changes” button is kinda’ grey/inactive and I am not able to change from home page to other options (header, footer, etc..)

Hi there!

Firstly let me apologize for any inconveniences .Versions 1.7 and 2+ are not backwards compatible, so I would recommend you to :

A.) use older wordpress

B.) Update the Rockwell to 2+ version, but you’ll have to re-do some of your content again.

Thanks and cheers! :)

hi

You misunderstood me. Maybe I was confusing. I try to be more exact:
I updated WP to 4.2.2. AFTER
I downloaded actual version of Rockwell theme
I uploaded that by ftp in the “theme” folder
I activated the theme within WordPress
The site is back now (with most of my content)
BUT
My problem:
in the WP I am not able to setup or costumise the theme ‘cuz “Theme Options” within WP is inactive.

it wont even let me log into the backend wordpress.. please help

FRESHFACE

Hi there!

You have to do this:

1.) rename wp-content/themes/rockwell to wp-content/themes/rockwell-OLD

2.) upload latest version of RockWell theme

This error has been fixed in 2+ version. Sorry for any inconveniences and thank you for your patience.

Thanks and cheers! :)

I am using this theme and now need to make it mobile-ready – says on the theme listing that it is responsive – but I dont see the setting to make this happen.

Is this a responsive theme? I am using version 2.5.

HI – I am getting malicious code infections through the search function – how do I remove it all together – dont need it in my theme.

Thanks!!

FRESHFACE

Hi there!

Search function is handled by WordPress directly, so I would recommend you to update your WordPress installation.

Thanks and cheers! :)

.menu-description {
font-size: 16px !important;
}
#navigation ul.sub-menu li a {
font-size: 12px !important;

Hope this helps :)
