I’m not sure if we’re gonna include any more shortcodes into the theme due to the issues that may occur in future for our customers, But there’s a lot of good plugins out there, the safe way is to use them, for functionality.

my contacts page looks different the text ie ‘your name’ ends up on the background and in the same colour so u dont see it?

The page templates are selectable, so you can have blog template or portfolio template or even default page template for your home page.

Yes, why not, Just make sure that you set Settings > Reading > Front page displays, to your blog page.
Hello, ...when i setup my portfolio, it appear my featured images have to be square otherwise they get squashed, even when they get enlarged, is there a way to use just the thumbnail of the featured image and the full size when clicking on the image?

Actually no images get squashed or squeezed, they will get cropped. So the thumbnail image is the cropped image and when you click on view, you will see the full size image.

Actually this is not an option that could just enable, We only put color picker on website for demo purposes and it’s not recommended to do this on a main website.
I’m a designer and this mean so much to me. I actually want my clients pick their own color for different purposes, can you show me how?

Looks like an awesome Theme! I have a few pre-purchase questions:
(1) Is there a place in the Theme to add extra CSS Code?
(2) Would it be possible through modifying the style sheet or something to upload my own sidebar background and colors? And also specify my own HEX# color for the theme?
(3) Is it possible to hide the Date element from certain pages?
(4) Are columns supported within the theme, or is there a way to do this with a plug-in?
A few screen shots of how the Posts/Pages/Theme Options/Customization are implemented would be very helpful to those interested in purchasing!

1- No, but thanks for the good suggestion, We will definitely add this later.
2- Actually we wanted to have options for changing colors that you could select your own color for different elements, but unfortunately the theme colors are used with their own PNG files, so it was not a good choice to give the options for changing colors unless you want your final color scheme become ugly ! But it’s possible that we’re gonna add this functionality later or at least make it available for more than 4 colors.
3- Yes, we added this option for version 1.1 that will be out in about 2 days.
4- Yes, There are a lot of good plugins out there for this job.
We’re trying to keep everything simple but thanks for suggestion, We appreciate it.

- I see that the homepage/gallery is filterable, but after filtering, if you click on an image to get to the lightbox-type mode, it shows all the images, regardless of which filter was selected. Any way to limit the lightbox photos to the selected filter?
- If #1 can’t be done, is there a setting to get rid of the lightbox link/button, or would I just have to hack it out?

One last thing – is it at all possible to link a category (like “Digital Art” on http://demo.spnoy.com/roya/?portfolio=91) back to the demo’s Home page, with the category’s filter selected? From a UI perspective, if I use the home page as my photo gallery, and they click on a picture to comment, it’s a little strange to end up at http://demo.spnoy.com/roya/?portfolio-category=digital-art ...rather than get back to the home page gallery (filter selected). I understand this might not be the functionality everyone wants, but if it is something you can help me custom implement after I purchase, that would be great.
Unfortunately this is not a functionality that we could just add to the theme and for something like this the theme functions need to be code from scratch again.
No problem. Is the template set up like other WP templates, where I could easily make changes to the PHP template files? In other words, is there any encryption or obfuscation? There are a few things I’d like to change (i.e. hacking out the search bar, changing the low-res device menu icon to a dropdown menu, etc.), and I should be able to do that, if I can alter the source code. I’m a web developer by day, but some templates are so well-executed that you just have to bow down to their beauty
No, There is no encryption so you can modify any file you want, just be sure that you are able to do what you want so your purchase wouldn’t be a waste of money.

Great theme but the only thing holding me back in using it is 2 things:
1. No support for a side bar in posts. (The recent post for the main left sidebar is very shoddy. I want a side bar to display an ad, recent post list, search bar, and a twitter widget.
2. No page template for a page that doesn’t have the boxed date on the top. I don’t want my About Us page to have a date on it.
Other than that I love the theme. Is there any updates that might alleviate those problems mentioned? Thanks!

1- Actually a separated sidebar was never part of the theme idea cause it didn’t match up with the theme concept.
2- In the next version of Roya (v.1.1) there’s an option for each page/post/... that you could control Header date or Footer box display, This would come handy in this kind of situation.

hi, pre-purchase question: found 2 serious issues with the template i.e.
1. in latest Opera browser the main page is blank only menu is visible
2. on windows mobile 7.5 at main page after clicking the “eye” symbol on picture the enlarged picture is showing below the visible area – only the topmost part of image frame is visible, also entire page area is grayed out and scrolling down does not help to view the image, instead grayed-out area scrolls down

1. I did test before and I tested again, But I couldn’t find any problem in Opera browser, maybe you use some plugins that get in the way !

As I said before, giving the ability for changing colors for these kind of Themes is not so easy cause every layout comes with their own PNG files, But we’re gonna add this ability later. I can’t specify a exact time but maybe in about two weeks.
