Hi,

we set up a page with “4 Columns Portfolio” page template. We also choosed some featured image for out porfolio items. So far so good.

Now we whant to create links from the “4 Columns Portfolio” page to other page within wordpress, but had no success. Who can we modify those URLs?

Thx in advance

Hi there,

I’m afraid that this will require some more advanced editing of the theme’s files.

Cheers!

Hi,

We want to raise our issue again because we think we couldn’t make it clear enough:

We created a new portfolio item: title “knowledge” und slug “knowledge”. We added a feature image to the portfolio item.

Then we created a page using the “3 Columns Portfolio” page template. When we look at that page, the image (portfolio item image) appears. When we move the mouse over the image, we see that a click would lead us to: www.ourdomian.xx/porfolio/knowledge

Then under the menu Appearance => Rumblings Options => Portfolio we set Portfolio Slug “blablabla”. When we now move the mouse offer the image, we see that a click would lead us to: www.ourdomian.xx/blablabla/knowledge instead of www.ourdomian.xx/porfolio/knowledge

So far everything is clear for us. Our question or better issue is:

We don’t want to substitute the “portfolio” part to “blablabla” in the link! We want to delete the “portfolio” part. The link shall be www.ourdomian.xx/knowledge or precisely www.ourdomian.xx/our-slug-settings-in-the-portfolio-item

I really hope I could make our question clear. We thing that is a rather simple one to solve but we don’t know how. We read a lot of post about that in wordpress blog. So that must a known or at least understandable question.

Thx again for support

I would like to get some help with displaying recent posts (2) as well as recent portfolio items on my home page like suggested is possible in the preview of this theme (content block named “Latest from the Blog” and “Featured Work” on the preview version)...

However there’s no shortcode to get this done. Can the author please answer this…! Thanks!

I want to show post from a specific category in both the shortcode for blog and portfolio.

Hi,

Can you please tell me if my last question is possible or not…

Thanks!

Hi there and sorry for the delay. I was out of office for this week due to my holiday this year.

1. For the blog shortcode edit the file named “shortcodes.php” located in the theme’s folder “framework > inc”.

Just after line 393, this:

'title' => '',

add this:

'cats' => ''

Now, just after line 399, this:

'post_type' => 'post',

add this:

'cat'    => $cats

Now, add insert the shortcode adding the cats="category id" attribute.

Example:

<pre>
<code>
[blog cats="1"] or [blog cats="4, 12"]
</code>
</pre>

2. The portfolio shortcode already has this feature:

Example:

<pre>
<code>
[portfolio category="bla"]
</code>
</pre>

Cheers!

The item support page isn’t working for this theme.

I’m having trouble customizing colors. My changes are there in the “Options.” But they don’t show up in the theme. If I use the “child” theme, i get an error that the framework/css/custom-options.css file isn’t writable (and such a file doesn’t even seem to exist). And the Child theme only works if I upload a copy of the framework/css directory, which seems like an odd thing, given that you give a sample child theme that doesn’t include that.

But regardless, the options screen doesn’t actually change anything.

I’m sure there’s something obvious I’m missing.

Hi there,

Try this:

Edit the theme’s “functions.php” file and replace the code between lines 32 to 37, this:

// Re-define meta box path and URL
define( 'RWMB_URL', trailingslashit( get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/framework/inc/metabox' ) );
define( 'RWMB_DIR', trailingslashit( get_template_directory() . '/framework/inc/metabox' ) );
// Include the meta box script
require_once RWMB_DIR . 'meta-box.php';
// Include the meta box definition (the file where you define meta boxes, see `demo/demo.php`)
include 'framework/inc/metabox/the-meta-boxes.php';

with this:

// Re-define meta box path and URL
define( 'RWMB_URL', trailingslashit( get_template_directory_uri() . '/framework/inc/metabox' ) );
define( 'RWMB_DIR', trailingslashit( get_template_directory() . '/framework/inc/metabox' ) );
require_once RWMB_DIR . 'meta-box.php';
include 'framework/inc/metabox/the-meta-boxes.php';

Save. Done.

Let me know how’s going.

Cheers!

Hi there and sorry for the delay. I was out of the office for the last 7 days due to my yearly vacation.

What is your pemalinks settings? In my demo site you can see that the url is exactly what I’ve set in the theme options page without any addition.

Did you try the last option which is “Post name”?

Cheers!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that from 23rd of December until 4th of January I’ll be out of office for the winter holidays and I won’t be able to provide any support. Cheers and Happy Holidays! Chris

Hello,

in wp admin under revolution slider there is an option for “Responsive Sizes:” for a slider, can you please state what numbers should be there to make the slider work like in the demo? Default values are wrong, and no where in the documentation I can’t find this info. Now when I resize my browser window, the slider does not follow the web correctly with the sliders default values. tnx

SkatDesign

Hi there,

The slider must be set up on “Custom”. Here are the demo page’s values:

Grid: 940×350 Screen Width 1: 940 – Slider Width 2: 748 Screen Width 2: 780 – Slider Width 2: 420 Screen Width 3: 510 – Slider Width 3: 300

Cheers!

Solved it! Tnx…

I now have problems with the homepage, when I do everything like stated in the documentation and paste the code in html from the “Sampledata” file “homepage.txt”, things are going into second row and not looking like in the demo. I even tried pasting the code from other alternative homepages and all of them are NOT looking like in the demo. There was a question for something alike on the forums here: http://skat.tf/topic/shortcodes/ But no answers.

When I open the demo page home-alternate-4, on the right all the icons have too much space beneath them and are not aligned.

Can you please help?
