Hi, I really liked your theme. I am interested in purchasing it. But I have a question. Can I add categories to the portfolio part of the website? Currently, it just has the thumbnails of the projects. But i wanted to include a categories bar on the top which would help organize the projects according to category for the users. Is this possible in your theme? If so then could you assist me with it? Please do let me know asap.

Hi there, is it possible to have four portfolio items in one row on the homepage as opposed to three?

Thanks!

Also the method to change the logo size doesn’t work. I really need to be able to change this

Hi

1. It’s not possible to have four portfolio items because theme was designed with 3-column grid. 2. Just tried to change logo size on wp 3.8 and everything works fine.

Fantastic theme. Unfortunately, the Mobile Landscape view on the iPhone 5S is unusable, as the logo and top menu remain “pinned” to the top when one scrolls down, and covers 80% of the page.

Is there a way to “unpin” the logo and top navigation, so users can view the page when they scroll down?

Hi

Unfortunately it’s not possible to implement such a feature.

Is it possible to change the zoom level when placing a google map?

I’ve inserted the map via shortcodes longitude and latititude.. but it’s not very handy considering it’s a local business.

Thanks.

PixelForces

Hi. Yes, it’s possible. Open

assets/js/rythm-google-map.js

file and go to line 18 where you can chnage zoom variable from default 8 to whatever you want.

Thanks. Exactly what I was looking for.

Sorry, one more question.

Is it possible to have 2 distinct sections of ‘Services’? Basically I am doing a gym site, and they have 2 groups of services Training, and Nutrition.

I know I can fake it by creating another section and making it 3 cols but, ideally I would like to just create a second group of services.

Thanks again for a great theme and even better support!

I have made some progress on this…

I’ve duplicated the services.php template to services2.php, and edited the shortcodes.php (again, duplicated and changed each instance of service(s) to service(s)2 .. and the init.php page.

I am now seeing Services2 in the admin, and can create a second group of services in the Services2 section and input the shortcode [rythm_services2] on the section I am wanting them to show…SO I am almost there.. but I am missing something because the new services in Service2 are not showing..

Here is the URL that I am working on. http://one2onesugarland.com/

Thanks again.

Hi.

Try to open ‘core/init.php’ and duplicate code from line 546 to 579 but rename a new post type to ‘service2’. Also do not forget to replace ‘service’ post type in shortcodes.php to ‘service2’.

pixelneer

Yep. Got the core/init.php edited, and shortcodes.php (including at the bottom of shortcodes.php) ... now I’ve got the services2 stuff showing… just not styled all the way .. trying to work that out now. Duplicated each service css rule .. to service(s)2 … so getting closer. :)

pixelneer

OK.. sorry for the multiple posts, sort of talking through it as I work it out. I’ve managed to narrow it down to this chunk in init.php .

if (‘service’ == self::$loop_query->get(‘post_type’)) { $classes[] = ‘widget’; $classes[] = ‘widget-teaser’; $classes[] = ‘width-33’; } else { $classes[] = ‘span4’; }

I need to duplicate this for service2 I believe. So far all attempts aren’t getting it there… but closer still.

PixelForces

No problem. Try to make code similar to this:

if ('service' == self::$loop_query->get('post_type') || 'service2' == self::$loop_query->get('post_type')) {

and replace code on line 653 to this:

$allowed = array('clients', 'portfolio', 'service', 'team', 'post', 'service2');

PERFECT!! Thanks SO much for your help.

I’m having an issue setting up multiple portfolios. I have the two portfolio sections setup how I’d like on the page but cannot make them pull an array of posts, they either pull every portfolio piece or none of them. I am using the previous answer about portfolios as a guide but I’m a designer, not a coder. Thanks in advance!

PixelForces

Theme was not designed for showing several portfolio sections.

I managed to get it worked out so I have two portfolios with separate content. Now if I can get the form to work I’ll be all set.
