Hi John,

In this very moment we’re working on auto-upate feature, so in very close future it’ll be enough to simply click an “update” button in your admin panel.

Till then, you have to: a. locally unpack the updated zip file which contains theme b. via FTP remove contents of wp-content/themes/secundo c. upload to this location your unpacked files thru FTP

This way you won’t loose posts, pages nor settings. Just to be super-safe, instead of removing secundo directory you may simply rename it. If during update anything is wrong, you will be able to name the directory back to “secundo” and everything will work for sure.

I know it’s a bit complicated, that’s why we’re working on autoupdate feature. We plan to upload it to TF by the end of next week. I suggest that if you can, please hold yourself from updating till then, so you could grab two updates at the same time and use this autoupdate feature for all next updates. I’ll let you know once we’re online, many bugfixes and few nice features are to come with this update

When I used the blog post widget. I used a plugin so it eliminated that for me. Thanks for the code, it worked great!

I’m not sure if I correctly understand your question, but in fact it is a boxed layout. Every row is enclosed within a fixed-width container, which of course changes accordingly to screen width (responsive!)... but it’s not really fluid.

What I meant were these “stripes” (blue, yellow-brown, black”) which range from left to right accross the whole screen. I hope I could make it clear. Would be nice to have the whole site in boxed style.

Hmmmm, as far as I know you’re the only person that asks for that at this time and it’s not that obvious to implement that., If we receive more requests for that, we definetely gonna put it on TODO list

Sure it’s possible, it’s just a matter of changing its CSS to (even more) responsive style. I need to take a closer look on how to do that, as it ain’t gonna be a one-liner.

I’ll post you back once I figure it out… and/or we’ll add this feature with the next update release.

Good news!

To achieve this effect, please go to theme options -> code -> custom styles and simply place a code like this one:

Regarding video width + extra query string, for sure it’s doable but I need to consult that with our devs, so I’ll reply to that a bit later.

Please go to templates/content-single-portfolio.php file and in line 15 change:

echo do_shortcode('[video link="' . $custom['video'][0] . '"]')

to:

echo do_shortcode('[video width="550" link="' . $custom['video'][0] . '"]')

And regarding: is there a way to add the ?HD=1;rel=0;showinfo=0 to end of the video embed code?> I’m sorry, it’s not possible at this time. You can always go to file theme/shortcodes/video/ctVideoShortcode.class.php and on line 42 change url structures. For example you can change

$url = 'http://www.youtube.com/embed/' . $clipid;

to

$url = 'http://www.youtube.com/embed/' . $clipid.'?HD=1;rel=0;showinfo=0';

.. but it’s not really elegant solution.

Implementing those changes… well, it depends what and how exactly you’re going to modify the theme.

In general, if all you do could be implemented via CSS (not HTML, javascript etc) then you can easily do it thru built-in custom CSS editor. It’s located in theme options -> code -> custom CSS, where you can overwrite any stylesheets of ours.

For example, if there is our CSS like:

a {color: #CB623C;}

which sets the color for all the links, then you could write this:

a {color: black !important;}

to overwrite our style and make links black.

If you ever needed to edit also HTML – it’s a bit more complicated, as it requres editing the files accessivle via FTP. Still not that difficult though – just download, edit and upload it again

Ah, ok, that’s what you meant.

Yes, PSDs are attached exactly for this reason HTML is located in secundo/templates dir of zip file you have downloaded. Please note though, that it’s not pure HTML – it’s HTML mixed with WP-specific PHP

I can see you’re using [wide_slider] and put 940×400 pictures into it. In case of such a small pictures, slider will automatically try to expand itto 1200×450. If you don’t have pictures of this size, it’s better to use [slider]
