Hi there, is there anyway you can make this theme boxed as well as stretched?

CapitalH

I have not included it yet, planning to add a style (profile) to support boxed layout too. watch for upcoming updates. There is going to be support for WooCommerce 2.0.1 too stay put

Just FYI there is a typo in the product image. Shouldn’t it read: SelfTitled instead of SeflTitled? :D

CapitalH

yeah, I saw it, sent new ones, waiting for the update. Thanks anyhow ;)

Link to live preview is not working!

CapitalH

Just tested it, the link is working with no problem.

AWESOME!!!!!!

CapitalH

Sorry, Demo broken.

CapitalH

server was down, up again.

outstanding work! Can you customize colour options other than the presets?

CapitalH

yes of course you can, you have two sets of options in fact, one for the framework, containing all the presets, one for the theme itself, almost all the colors and fonts can be customized.

Any way to disable the color picker without going through jquery? Was looking through the documentation and settings but have yet to find it. Seems kind of silly to not be able to disable it, so I must keep passing it over.

Also going to push for WooCommerce 2 support :P But seriously, there is a lot larger audience upgrading for the additional features. I decided to roll back my WP installation and continue using my old theme until support for WooCommerce 2 is added. Other than displaying the products using prodcat permalinks or using WooCommerce’s short code, it pretty much works.

Also, let it be known that there is incompatibility with older versions of WooCommerce. I neglected to update to 1.6.6 before 2 was released and am stuck because this doesn’t work with an older version. Your documentation also describe a non-existing version of WooCommerce (“I only work with wooCommerce 1.8 for now”).

None the less a sold theme regardless. You may want to do some hand holding in documentation for any new users sometime in the future however. Great work.

I’ve spent the past few days trying to figure this out, but still can’t. Even set up a test installation for this as follows:

3.5.1 WP install
Latest theme
WooCommerce 1.6.6

I set up the theme, set up the store, but whenever I try to use WooCommerce’s short codes to pull up a product category, no products are displayed. Also whenever I try to pull up a product category using the permalinks, no products are displayed. The same goes for the automatically generated “Store” page by WooCommerce. What am I doing wrong? Is there a setting that I’m missing?

CapitalH

clearly you are doing something wrong, other people have set it right up. I would be more than glad to help, but I need to see what’s going on, if you can provide me with the link to your site where you have installed the theme. and wp admin username and password.

Default-user

I figure as much, I’ll send you a message to my test server.

can I use this theme for free downloadable files ?

CapitalH

yes of course, read the docs for woocommerce 1.6.6 on their own site to learn to do so, this theme supports all the features that comes along with woocommerce 1.6.6

Nice work!

CapitalH

thanks

Hello CapitalH, great theme, love your work :D

Similar to how the shop page is, are you able to add a grid blog template for posts with a similar sorting dropdown (e.g. sort alphabetically) as the shop page?

CapitalH

Your welcome, I’m glad I could help.

smartsites1

You helped me out a great deal :) And do you know when you are releasing another update for this theme?

CapitalH

I’m doing my best to release it as soon as possible, can’t promise a date. Just follow me on twitter/facebook to get the updates and news.

Is it possible to change the background with a photo?

CapitalH

yes, it’s in the theme options panel, you can easily set a color or a photo as a background for main background, buttons, pageinfo/breadcrumbs and even all 5 widget styles.

xtantk

Thank you. I’ll discuss this with the client.

CapitalH

Good Luck

i,

is it ready to translate in french please ? is there po file ?

thanks

Lionel

CapitalH

Yes Lionel the framework is packed with a whole bunch of languages and .po files. see a full list here:

Can you add social icons for pinterest and instagram for that little plus social icon thingy :)

CapitalH

with a bit of hack it would be possible to replace one of the icons with another, but based on the shape of the design which is circular I had very limited options and we can not add more except for some major css reformation in that area. all you need is a change in the sprite image and then add the link and change the tool tip text.

Not a bad idea :) All I would have to do is change the flickr icon and rss icon with the ones I want right? Also… last two questions, I hope hahaha. So how can I remove the star ratings and how can I keep good resolution on the product thumbnails. When I created products the mages for the “Shop” pages looked really fuzzy… Is it because it makes an auto thumbnail? Any ideas?

CapitalH

1. yes that’s right. I have included the psd file of social (icons social-icons.psd) exactly for this reason use it. keep in mind that in my design I use css for the background color, so u can use both psd or css

2. to remove the star ratings, in your themes root folder > woocommerce open up content-product.php and comment this line out
<?php include("in-archive-rating.php"); // shows product ratings ?>
or maybe remove it completely. you may need to add some padding or margin to the bottom of product titles.

3. Well I started with using high res images, set the image size in woocommerce setting like this: Catalog Images: 300×300 Single Product Image: 600×600 Product Thumbnails: 100×100 with hard crop “on”

the key is to use large images with some high resolution and then let woocommerce crop them to the sized you set in the setting page.

do some google, I guess there are some plugins to help have better thumbs in woocommerce, but I didn’t use any.
