Also, is there a way we can just build off your example? I can’t figure out how to rock the menus and I’m not too familiar with WOO commerce

CapitalH

there is a dummy content .txt file in your root folder, import it using wordpress import tool.

i am interested in creating a downloadable eCommerce site. Will this site support secure downloads of purchases?

CapitalH

well as far as I know, that has nothing to do with a theme, you need to purchase an ssl/tls certificate, and assign it to the pages you desire. As for WooCommerce 1.6.6, all the features are included in this theme.

Woocommerce 2 is out – when is this theme going to support it please?

CapitalH

Very soon, I’m working on it. please follow me on twitter to get the news on updates.

If I buy your theme now will I get a free update when the WooCommerce 2.0 version is released? Also will I have to re create my whole shop on the 2.0 update?

Ok so I bought the theme unzipped the self-tilted for wc 2.0.3 then FTP all that into my wordpress theme folder. Then I activated wc plugin, next I go to the appearance tab and activate “Self-tilted” I then upload the dummy-content.xml file to make it look like the demo but it does not, its not even close. I think there are some plugins or some steps I am missing to make the theme look like the one on the demo?

on further inspection none of the selft-tilted short codes work, so I must be missing something. I have followed the documentation zip folder but with no luck

CapitalH

in order for the shortcodes to work, you need to install capital-shortcodes plugin which you have downloaded along with the theme. please install all the plugins included for you.

SelfTitled relies mainly on widgets, all of the areas in the demo theme homepage are widgets, you have two sets of options to customize the widgets, the widget options, and the framework options.

in oreder to have the fullwidth slider, you need to install widgetkit, and the add the widgetkit slider styles that I have designed for this theme to the widgetkit (there is a text instruction file inside widgetkit-slider-styles.zip) after you created the slide show using widgetkit, all you need to do is to add the widget to slider widget position in wordpress admin > appearance > widgets.

please read the docs thoroughly, and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Congratulations for the excellent theme, a question, this theme is compatible with slider revolution? The issue is sensitive for mobile devices? Thank you!

CapitalH

Thanks.

Well I have not tested it with slider revolution but SelfTitled is a very modular theme, and as far as I have tested any thing works, once used as a widget and put into one of these modular positions.

Hello!! I just purchased and installed self titled theme. What is the correct location of the folders download together with the theme folder? I’m talking about “assets” and “widgtekit-slideshow-styles”.

thank you very much!! (and sorry for my poor english)

ok…so there is no way to show only one category either with theme’s widgets or with woocommerce widgets (because a shortsode in a normal text widget , graphically, it’s quite confusing and unreadable)

CapitalH

You can add a text widget to a widget position assign the number of the cats you wanna display and then use framework options -> profiles (tab) -> layout(section) and change it’s layout, then use widget options to change it’s style

this will display the cats thumbnail with a linked title and number of products in that category underneath it.

I am working on an update for product slider to show different sorts of products and also categories. Follow me on twitter or facebook to be informed when the update is out.

The theme supports the latest version of the woocommerce and 2:02?

CapitalH

Not now, but SelfTitled 2 is out in a day or 2, it supports the latest version of WooCommerce.

Right now I’m doing the final tests and debugging. Follow me on twitter/facebook the get the updates on the exact date.

CapitalH

Hi new version is out now, it supports WooCommerce 2.0.3 plus some more options now.

Hey do this theme support woocommerce marketplace plugin?

CapitalH

if you mean woocommerce itself, yes it supports woocommerce 1.6.6 right now, and I am working on an update to support wooommerce 2.0.3 which will be out in a day or two.

Are you able to add a Auto Theme Setup module in the theme options, One that will automatically create all the widgets, activate the right plugins and set all the default theme options and images….?

I have seen alot of WordPress themes that have this and it would help soooo much in setting the theme up.

CapitalH

Well, it’s possible, but haven’t found a way to do that with my themes yet. might include it in the upcoming themes. Thanks for mentioning any how.

Hi,

yes, I saw the psd file, but we need the whole template in psd, cause we want to customize the look&feel. How could we get it? I understand that you have changed it a lot, but working in the wordpress is not useful for us, not for what design concerns. In fact, in the description of the item talks about layered psd, thats why we bought it. Could you send us the template in psd, please? Thanks !!

Ivan

CapitalH

I understand, and I would be more than glad to send you the psd mock-up.

Please send me an email using the contact form on this page: http://themeforest.net/user/CapitalH

This is a safe way so that I can have your email address to send you what you want.

Great Theme, and great techical support! i would defiantly recommend to anyone!

Great Theme! Is it possible to drop the top menu under the logo? Is it WPML compatible?

CapitalH
With a little bit of hacking yes, we can change the menu position (I can handle it for you) no unfortunately I have not worked with WPML yet, but the framework of the theme comes with a whole bunch of languages, you can see the list here: https://github.com/yootheme/warp-language/tree/master/wordpress

I am interested in buying this … does the home page slider support video? we are creating a special open for the site – books and need video to appear for each describing them.

I am in a rush to get this site built and really love this theme. Also, is Woo Commerce ready yet, I read that 6 days ago you were working on it. Thanks, JkS

CapitalH

The slider is powered by widgetkit, the slides are added by the default editor of the wordpress, so you can add anything, from text to images and videos as long as you are careful with the dimensions. along with the full width slider, I have added 5 more styles, and the default one, you can choose between them to see what fits you better.

I just gave it a try, using my own shortcode plugin, (Capital-Shortcodes) which you can download it with the theme, and added a youtube video to the slider.

Sounds good! So if I choose a language from the list, it will also be applied to the shop, translating woocommerce ?

CapitalH

Actually WC is i18n ready and you can see the list of the languages it supports here:

https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce/tree/v2.0.0-RC1/i18n/languages

Hello CapitalH,

Do you have a list of the locations of your widgets so we can re-create the style you have for the demo site? As following your instructions shows how it works, not how to set it up like you show in the demo, many things are missing and I’m quite confused with the amount of options provided.

Also, what do we do about the generated pages by WooCommerce upon install, does the theme replace those pages, making them unneeded? Should I be installing and activating WooCommerce before or after I install the theme?

When using the dummy content, how do I get the main menu’s shop drop down to look like the demo website and have it across 3 columns rather then one long column?

When I installed the shortcodes plugin I get this warning upon activation: The plugin generated 241 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

In the documentation provided, you mention there are screen casts to help set the website up, but no mention on how to find them?

Any help would be appreciated as I didn’t think it would require that much setup to mimic the demo site with dummy content.

Besides that it’s a great theme with a solid framework!

Cheers,

Mark

Hi

1. see this page esp the part about theme layout http://selftitled.capitalh.ir/selftitled-features/ this will give you a full idea of how to layout the whole thing also take look at: http://selftitled.capitalh.ir/module-variations/ this will show you any widget position possible.

you see the key to layout the homepage is to understand that it mainly relies on widgets, what widget, where among the 19 widget positions available to you, and how to layout (selftitled -> framework options -> profiles -> layout) and how you style the widgets (selftitled -> widget options)

to get to know the framework better take a look at their official docs here: http://www.yootheme.com/themes/documentation?view=docs and here if you plan to use widgetkit for slider, twitter and stuff: http://www.yootheme.com/widgetkit/documentation?view=docs

2. the options for menus are in the menu items, you can see the columns options on each parent item in your menu manage. you can also set the min width for each and every one of you parent menu items, and even give an icon.

3. yes you need to install the theme, then woocommerce, then the plugins I wrote for you, and then import the dummy content, the menus of woocommerce will be added too, you might need to re arrange them a bit.

4. it might look confusing at first, and yes because of all the options, the point was to give you full power over every inch of the theme, mission accomplished, but well, has a learning curve which you can do in a bout an hour of tweaking, once you get the general idea, you can set a full site up and running in less than half an hour (like I have done for some clients)

5. I am aware of the error generated by Capital Shortcode plugin, doesn’t do any harm, and I will release an update as soon as I find out what’s wrong with it.

6. Yes, I promised to make some screen casts, but I really have trouble using internet these days, due to sanctions put on my country, and our government has reduced speed some how to the point of stone age, and it will be like this for the next couple of months (yeah, this is where I live)

7. If after reading the docs I told you, and tweaking the theme you could not accomplish the job, just drop me a message containing a link to your wp back end with the username and password, and I’d be more than glad to set it up and running for you.

please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Where is the add to cart button after you select your options for a product? So if I’m selling shirts, and there are different sizes and colors, and I want to purchase a small red shirt…where is the add to cart button after I select my options?

CapitalH
On the demo site, for example here: http://selftitled.capitalh.ir/shop/some-product-for-test-copy/

select the options and after selecting both the add to cart button shows up, I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Hello!!!

How can I do to translate some “Capital Plugin”. i.e.: the contact module I inserted with the capital shortcode is in english.

[capital-contact email=”my-email”]

How can I do to translate It?

(I need a Multilanguage site, so I can’t edit the langage inside the shorcodes.php file)

I didn’t find any .po file.

CapitalH

Hi

The plugins are unfortunately not po ready. If you are just looking for a contact form solution there are lots of solutions available for you and all are for free and some are multiligual ready. Just search the wordpress plugin repository for contact form solutions and pick the ones that suits you the best.

Sorry for the inconveniences.

CapitalH

Thank you, I am working on new updates for my plugins, adding .po support is one of the updates, follow my twitter to get the news on updates.
