Nice work! When adding items to cart and then clicking menu buttons, the cart clears out. Another way is to add to your cart, go to checkout, then back to cart and the cart clears.
Any idea on what’s causing the cart to clear?

Thanks for appreciating the theme.
The cart issue is only on the demos. I have realized that when a user opens all the layouts together, there is cookie issue that affects the cart products. This is because all the layout demos have been added onto the same database. However try clearing your browser cache and use only one demo website and you will see that the cart is ok.
I guarantee you that the cart issue is only on the demo and am working on resolving it right away.

There is demo content folder. Choose the layout you want and then install it.

Currently the top menu supports categories only.
However, you can add permanent links through modification of the menu code.

Received error message relating to vqmod install. Downloaded and added vqmod and the template files successfully to the store public_html folder. Contacted host to to verify directory structure and it looks correct.
If its not a server error, you need not contact your host. Let me know first what problem your are facing.

I believe it would be very helpful for store owners to receive separate folders for each theme with all required contents/files for each theme. The installations instructions are a bit too vague and oversimplified for first time owners setting up a store. The tutorials at Opencart which are very helpful and step-by-step; however, there are variables with this theme – such as vqmod that opencart did not review. The template download included 2 separate .txt files with instructions.
Also, is it necessary to configure the name of my database according to the theme name instead of personal preference? The database had already been named and was deleted to start over. If the complete files were in one file folder, it may help cut down on ftp work and load completely and properly – meaning less questions for you
I have some experience on the ftp/provider side and simply need clearer instructions that are not overly technical to get the store up so that I can begin editing.

I would like to say that files to upload are in one single folder called FILES_TO_UPLOAD. Very easy to upload using FTP.
VQMOD is developed by Qphoria and Jay who are OpenCart lead developers and vqmod is explained in www.vqmod.com. I need not explain the details of vqmod to the customer, so I package it with the files and asks the user to upload and install it.
OpenCart does not have a data export/import tool like WordPress has. Instead I created an SQL dump exported from the theme’s demo store so that users that don’t want to go through site settings could get an easy workaround buy logging in to their admin panel and configure the settings as they please. This has helped a lot in my last 2 files. I get few questions than before and errors have decreased. You can read the comments above and you will see that there has not been any installation issue reported yet.
I have attached a very simple instruction documentation that explains in detail what you need to do and no one has complained that its too technical. I would like to correct you and say that its not technical at all. It highlights the important sequential steps to follow while installing the theme, and that’s all. I believe that all as far as the theme is concerned. Its the customers work to take time and familiarize themselves with OpenCart as a software.
I would request you to use the instructions provided and everything will be fine.
I have the documentation online (click here to see it) as well so that users can understand that its not overly technical as you stated.

Reinstalled this morning. Still getting undefined index error messages. The store dir is set-up as mysite.com/store. Do I need to do anything special to have the template point to this location? The store is installed the template in that directory.

No you do not have to do anything at all. I suppose you uploaded OpenCart in whole in mysite.com/store because in this case its your root directory.
