well, it’s not a trivial change, unfortunately. I looked into it, and easiest way to do it woud be to edit the mainpage.php template by adding prettyphoto rel to the link like this: http://prntscr.com/28uqp8 and then when adding a post use the link field, and paste the full size image link in there. It might work, but I didn’t test it :)

if that won’t work, then you might want to hire someone to do it for you, should be 2-3h job

Ok, thank you.

Hi there, have you fixed the problem with the buttons not working? I am waiting to relaunch a website and this is the last thing I need to work.

EvGreen

hm, which buttons? I don’t recall such an issue here

Great theme. I want the collage thing that I can showcase my articles. One thing before I buy it though, is there any way we can add a background audio? Thanks!

EvGreen

not by default, but I’m sure there are wordpress plugins for that. There is one thing to note however – the music would re-load on every page load (i.e when switching from main page to blog page), which could be annoying for the users, so keep that in mind.

Hi Great theme, but having an issue with getting the full size images on the collage and portfolio to fully show as I only get part of the picture, where can I find out the actual size of the full size image so all of its shows?

Thanks again :)

EvGreen

Hey!

so the theme resizes the image to 1920px width, and then whatever the other one would be, based on aspect ratio of given image. Then the script that displays whole image, makes sure that the image is displayed from edge to edge, so there is no blank space. The latter could result in heavily cropped images where as you said, only part of the image is visible and the rest is cut off. This happens pretty much only with portrait-type of images (as opposed to landscape orientation). I believe there is a setting in js/script.js, that disables the cropping, but I’d rather recommend preparing the images themselves in some image editing program. So, creating a black 1920×1200px image, and then pasting the portrait oriented image into it, so that it has black borders on the side. Then upload the image to the site, and the cropping won’t harm the image anymore :)

Hi,

I am facing issue while importing the dummy content. When I try to import the content I get an internal server error after long delay every-time. I tried installing it on different hosting but no use. Import is successful if I don’t select the download attachment option but the menu items don’t get the drop down items despite being shown in back-end.

What could be the problem? Please help.

Thank you.

EvGreen

hey, few possibilities, but to me it looks like you are on godaddy? ;) So the reasons from most likely to least: 1) importing takes long enough for server to kill the process – solution – ask your hosting to lift the limits for you until you import, 2) your account reaches memory limit – solution is the same as in 1., 3) you have max file size upload limit, and one or more pictures that are imported exceeds the limit, you can test it yourself by uploading a big image to media library, usual limits are 2mb, 4mb, 8mb etc – solution, same as before, 4) for some reason you don’t have permissions set on upload folders in your wp installation, you can change them via ftp, they are in wordpress/wp-content/uploads, should be 755 or 777, 5) my server choked a bit, maybe try again, when there is night in the states

lemme know if any of this helps

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply. I really appreciate that. Fortunately its not Godaddy. :P My present upload limit is 32M & memory limit is 256M. Is it less? I also tried doing a test installation on cloud but faced same issue, though I am not sure what was the config on cloud. Permissions are fine. Assuming that it could be some version incompatibility, I also installed wp version 3.5. Tried almost 15 times with all the possibilities on fresh wp installation each time but no success.

Can you zip & upload your dummy installation & SQL db and mail me the link? May be I will be able to manage with that.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

I’ll try to find a moment for that on sunday :) Mail me via the contact form on my profile page here so I get yours

What about https – standard ssl certificate? I think some of templates have collision with them.

EvGreen

hey, not sure what would cause that in the theme, as it’s pretty simple in construction. Only part that I’d suspect to cause problems is the ajax loading for collage on the front page, but even then it’s just simple “get”. Are you sure it’s not something else? Like CDN configuration (if you use it)? Can you pin point which template would have problems?

cheers

how do I put a video on the home page collage?

Thanks :)

EvGreen

just put the youtube embedd in the video field: http://prntscr.com/3hxtks it’s on the bottom of the page when editing said collage

Help! How do i install the dummy content?

EvGreen

via tools=>import in wp admin, check out the install documentation for the theme, it’s explained there step by step

Hi,

I love the theme just have a few things I’d like to change I want to have 3 like to change like tiles of picture to 3 in a row per grid unlike the 4 atm.

Also did you manage to remove the white bar off the homepage previously as I am facing that as my main issue too

Also is there no way to have the picture on the mobile format too?

Great theme – classy and fully featured.

Is there a way to add shading to the sidebar area? I have tried this will no success and no control of shading color: ... [gs_3]
[sidebar id=”sidebar-01”]
[/gs_3]

Any (simple) direction would be appreciated – even if the entire and every sidebar I put in has shading… custom css code? maybe? as long as I am in control of the shading hex color.

Thanks in advance.

only through CSS, but in your case it looks like the markup is a bit wrong (I think that instead of using gs_3 to wrap around sidebar, the sidebar should have just size of grid in it, check docs, it should be explained there – sidebar is in itself sort of a grid)

ovarall, you could try playing with css by adding this to sentinell panel input tab:

ul.sidebar {
    box-shadow: 0 2px 10px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.12);
    box-sizing: border-box;
    display: block;
    float: left;
    overflow: visible;
    padding: 24px;
}

Hi, I’ve been using Sentinell for a couple of years and I noticed now that none of my images in my collage are showing up when you click on them in the slider on the home page. Any idea why? www.tonygamino.com

THANKS!

EvGreen

hmm the code seems to work fine, no errors etc, and it looks just like the images are not shown by php, example: your site: http://www.portfolio.tonygamino.com/wp/tiles/art-direction-and-styling php generates only one image, preview site: http://sentinell.themeforest.designsentry.com/tiles/portraits . I’d check and verify the way you add images to those sliders.

If you will have problems with finding out what may be wrong, send me a mail with credentials to your wp admin and I’ll take a look. Not promising I’ll find solution right away, but I can try :)

cheers

Hey EvGreen,

now we have the same issue with WPML (activated) and the Collage at the “home” page… Do you offer support on this issue?

Would be very urgent right now.
