We had to update our ThunderColumns since we had a bug (”-” instead of ”_” in the tags) to fix.

Please update the sevent/functions/thundercodes/thundercolumns_plugin.php file via ftp or by other means of your choice.

I love the look of this!

Some questions:

1. I would prefer the theme without the long horizontal colour bar beside the main menu or the social buttons above. Would it be possible to take out the social buttons and the long bar beside the main menu and to move the menu to where the social buttons are now, in line with the logo? This would enable a tighter height for the header.

2. On rollover the images currently have the magnifying glass and the link icon. Is it possible to remove both of these and instead on rollover to make the entire image area linkable to the page?

3. Can the breadcrumb links and bar be taken out?

4. How flexible is the homepage? Is it built with widgets or shortcodes?

5. I see that a default serif font (times new roman) appears in the search field – can this be changed to the theme font or arial?

1.+2. This is only possible with some freelance work.

3. Yes, via Theme and Page Options.

4. Shortcodes, the “Home Page” Page template has a fullwidth slider on top. If you use the “Content” Page template you can insert a (non-fullwidth) slider via short code.

5. You could do this with a simple tweak in our “Custom CSS” option.

Hey there. I am working with the theme and LOVE the simplicity of doing so. I have hit a slight issue in that I cannot find how to set an image as background and also I cannot edit the footer colours and breadcrumb bar. Is this possible?

For changing the colors best practice is to use a child theme or our “Custom CSS” box in “Sevent Options” -> “General” tab:

The color of the breadcrumb can be added like this:

yep, all shortcodes are included. The only external WP plugins we use are the Revolution Slider and the Contact Form 7.

Hi there .. the theme is good .. but please update soon , to many little mistakes in short codes , spaces ” ” instead of ”_” , the sidebar is under the content with a video in the posts instead of right or left. The categories of the portfolios or tags cant be filtered in sidebars widgets and some others.. please check and update soon. thank you for the theme. best regards.

I have a client who wants a website comprising entirely dark colours.

How are background, menu, font colours and background images changed in the theme? Would any of these colour or background changes be over written if the theme is updated?

Hi Pete,

you could choose the basic one of the two dark predefined skins and the rest via CSS. You could use a child theme for that (recommended for WordPress Customizations) or our “Custom CSS” box in the options for a quick solution. All mentioned things will remain untouched by updates.

Hi there,

Happy New Year to you. Love this theme, looking forward to working with it!

One problem I’ve had since installing the theme (on localhost). I imported the dummy content. I have then created some pages and my own menu in Appearance>Menus. I have selected my new menu as the main navigation menu and clicked save but nothing changes on the front end. I still see the dummy content menu. I can’t work out why this is happening so any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Thunderbuddies. I went to the header.php file and changed the name of the menu in there and that seemed to do the trick!

Another problem I’m having though is with the Revolution Slider. I’ve got a image that measures 960×450. The slide looks fine when I set it up and preview it. But when I look at it on the front end it is cut off at the bottom when I have the slider type as full width. When I change the slider type to responsive, it doesn’t get cut off.

Hope that makes sense! In short – slider images getting cut off at the bottom when slider type is Full Width. Any ideas?!

One more thing. In the revolution slider how can I get the button links to look like they do in the demo theme? At the moment the only options are for ones with drop shadows which I don’t like. I’d like the clean embossed looking button links you have on the demo here at thereforest. Thanks

Hi again,

the view depends on the actual width your window has. Best way to put images in a fullwidth slider is to use pics that are not or not much heigher than the max height. For example we use 1240×550px pics for our fullwidth slider with a slider grid 1170×500 in the preview.

Hi,

Is there a facility for adding an image gallery on this theme? In one of my portfolios I would like to add a scrollable gallery. At the moment if I set the portfolio type to image the featured image appears when I click through to the portfolio but I want to be able to add a scrollable gallery here, similar to the one I have on my current site – http://www.bangbangcreative.co.uk/portfolio/sisin-photo-shoot/

Is this, or something similar possible to do with the theme? I hope so as in most portfolios you will want to show a lot more than one image!

Hi Simon,

you could use the Slider Revolution included in this theme. Just create your slider and include it as post type “Slider” or with the provided shortcode.

If that’s not what you were looking for we recommend using an other plugin from CodeCanyon or wordpress.org for that since you can (like with the Revolution Slider) keep your galleries when switching the theme in the future. Having that build in would make you loose the data and rebuild it all again.

Another issue…

sevent/functions/thundercodes/thundercolumns_plugin.php

The shortcodes for making columns is messed up.

Example:

[one_half]YOUR_TEXT_HERE[/one_half]

[one_half last]YOUR_TEXT_HERE[/one_half]

It should be:

[one_half]YOUR_TEXT_HERE[/one_half]

[one_half_last]YOUR_TEXT_HERE[/one_half_last]

This is a good theme so far.

Any modifications can easily be done through massaging the code.

The only think I hate is have to load the XML file to see how stuff works.

I would rather have better documentation
