Is there a particular way I need to add .swf files that play in a ligh tbox? I can’t get that happening.

Heya Todd – Where are you trying to launch the lightbox from? If it’s a portfolio item for instance, you can just put the URL to the SWF inside the Custom Lightbox URL for that post. Otherwise, for an inline link, that markup looks like this:

Heya Todd – I’m not a Flash Expert, but my gut says that this is an issue with how the file was either saved (perhaps it needs an auto-play property?) or that you might need to add an extra parameter to the end to set the height/width and tell it to autoplay. Hi,
Thank you for such a great theme. I’m clearly new to css and html, but am trying to make the sidebar menu the same font as the rest of the body. I see that it’s strong, but am trying to understand how I can change that.
Am also looking to modify the vertical position of the sidebar menu so that it is at a specific position relative to the top of the page.
Any help would be appreciated!

Heya Marselen – These are all CSS tweaks for the most part. Add these to your Theme Options > Skin (or Styling) Options > Custom CSS field and adjust the values as necessary:

Thanks for your support, as building out from these WordPress themes can be interesting to say the least
My question is this: When you land at my website (jimiwes.com/wpdemo) you cannot see the Instagram feed underneath the Twitter feed (which is underneath the Navigation Menu), UNLESS you re-size the page manually. It will then allow you to scroll up and down and see everything.
How do you configure the page so it scrolls all the way down and up when it loads initially?

Heya Jim – You’re using the Traditional Menu, not the scrolling menu that’s set up from the Theme Options panel
The traditional menu doesn’t slide – the scrolling one does (but you can’t use page templates inside it).

Hi (again),
Another thing I noticed is that sometimes when switching between Categories or Pages (in the Nav menu), sometimes the entire webpage reloads and sometimes just the one frame reloads (nav menu stays intact).
Is there a way to force only the one frame to load? So the whole site doesn’t have to go blank and then come back up?

Heya Jim! There are no frames in use here – that’s just a browser behavior that sometimes doesn’t re-load the rendered sidebar
Not a lot that you can do about that without recoding the entire design to use AJAX loading methods.

Hi, on the demo site, the Traditional Menu > Starter Skins > Light doesn’t work. How does the light look? Are the top and bottom black bars white?

Thanks for the heads up – I’ll patch that right away – the black bars are still black, the styling is just more simple. That said, the top and bottom bars are super easy to make white using the Theme Options panel

Quick question. I have a Portfolio page with images only and now I want a blog page with just blog posts. The blog page I created is pulling in the portfolio posts as well. How can I just have blog posts on the blog page?

Hi John!
The best way to do this is to have the blog posts filed under a parent category called “Blog” and the image-based posts filed under a parent category named “Portfolio” – then you can just use the category filters on each page to show just the ones you want

I’m not sure what you’re asking here as your sentence doesn’t quite make sense… make sure your Settings > Reading panel is set to “Your Latest Posts” to disclay the welcome slider though

The slide has been acting funny on my main page. Mostly not working at all in FF14 . On IE and Chrome the back and forward buttons show up on cursor over but it is not times. Any ideas?

Nope
We use standard blog posts with meta-boxes, that’s it (this is actually the best way to approach this type of stuff as it protects your content from being lost if you switch themes later).

HI there,
Just bought your theme and excited to put it together! I’ve started fleshing out the pages but when I started to customize for logo, etc, I started to have problems. I believe the option tree even though installed, is not working. A screenshot can be found here of my dashboard: http://imgur.com/lgoZ5
As you can see, there are no options available to change logo. The theme documentation seems to believe I should be able to customize so I’m at a loss.
Also, I am confused as to the different menus. I am trying to set up that cool scrolling bar menu but it won’t work. The setup doc says: “Note that page template (discussed later) are will not function inside the scrolling section.” What does “page template” mean? Do you mean “page default” template? Can you please advise? I also have some weird formatting where there should be a menu, there is an extra line. I tried setting up two menus and putting the same pages in each so that I could see the difference and only one shows up.

Grab the new version (it went up just a few hours ago) and try again – the brand new version of OptionTree that came out yesterday required us to update all of our themes

Hi again, I had to delete the theme and reinstall (said the file already existed and it would not activate theme). The new theme is in but now even though Option Tree is activated, it’s no longer showing up in the admin. I activated, deactivated and nothing. AND theme options have nothing either. I’m stumped. Please advise.
Also, as the theme options never looked right, it won’t let me “reload XML ” as in your directions.
Heya MPW ! I’m re-writing the new documentation as we speak – as I mentioned a bit ago, the OptionTree plugin updated to version 2.0 relatively unexpectedly this week and most of us theme authors are scrambling to catch up with the fact that they basically bricked our themes… I just did a test-install of all my themes this morning though and everything seems to be up and running again.

Due to the option-tree plugin update, I have downloaded the theme again and still cannot seem to get this working. Im no longer asked to install the option tree plugin and even with a manual install I receive the following errors on the Theme Option page :
