Is there a way to make a page and migrate all my posts to that page so I can then assign it to shown as the blog template on the site?

Sure – just create a blank page, assign the blog template of your preference, and leave the category filters empty

Short answer – pretty darned hard – your best bet would actually be to setup WordPress multisite then use a different site with ShapeShifter2 installed to simulate the same basic idea… but again, it’s still sorta tricky business as there’s a lot of coding devoted to just getting one scrolling page up and running, let alone multiples

Usually when you update a theme, you just need to reset your menus from the Appearances > menus panel The old menus should all still be there, you just need to re-save them under the locations panel on that page.

Heya Craprock – Hmmm – let’s have ya file a ticket over at http://makedesign.ticksy.com – to this day I’ve never seen a menu wiped out completely though, so this could be another issue altogether where the only solution is to re-setup the menu again (in fact, this might still be quicker than me doing a bunch of debugging). Either way, let me know and I’ll be glad to take a peek

2.0.4 is ready as of last night I uploaded it late in the evening, and it had been approved by the morning. I’m just waking up now, so I’ll be updating each log this morning.

A couple things – #1 – grab the 2.0.4 update, it includes a bunch of new stuff that’s worth picking up

Next, I didn’t really see what you were referring to… what “homepage title” are you referencing? The browser bar? I’m not entirely sure why that’d happen, but one of the free SEO plugins might actually give you the ability to assign a fixed title for the landing page.

Gave up. Can’t keep fussing with it. Client is waiting. Trying another theme instead. Will have to install this on another server and try again to get it working. #frustrated

Yep – Google maps and video are both supported… for the maps, the best way is to grab the recommended Shortcodes Ultimate plugin which includes a font embed tool. For videos, you can use any embed method you’d like – we like the simple oEmbed method described here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Embeds

Just empty out the Font Replacement field in the Theme Options > Typography panel – that’s grabbing the theme demo’s Typekit settings that you probably don’t need.

01: The demo does not have a responsive mode, but the theme (when installed) is responsive. Check out: http://shapeshifter.mdnw.net/

02: The slider has the ability to open video in a lightbox when clicked, but it does not display inline video without some custom work. You can, though, add inline video to the content section.

1. They’re ordered by date (which is the WP default)... so the easiest way to shift the order is to re-arrange the published dates.

2. Lower case? I believe right now they are all upper-case… but either way, drop something like this in your custom CSS panel:

h5 {
    text-transform: capitalize;
}
